for 2 days and 1 night trip

Hello guys, today, we will take you to Phuket for 2 days and 1 night trip that come with fun experiences, comfortable sleep, and friendly expenses. 

Phuket is another province with a variety of tourist attractions like beaches, the sea and nature for tourists to relax all year round. Most of the time, when traveling to Phuket, we should have 2-3 days to fully enjoy the journey. For this trip, we chose to go to Phuket for 2 days and 1 night.

Where to go in Phuket for 2 days trip?

We chose to fly at 6.45 a.m. from Don Mueang and reach Phuket airport at 8 a.m. so that we could have a full Saturday to travel. After picking up the rental car, it's almost 9 a.m. and from now on, it's our time to enjoy Phuket ^. ^

Let's get started... 

Destination 1: Nai Yang Beach, Sirinat National Park, Phuket

Nai Yang Beach is located in Sirinat National Park and close to Phuket airport. It is only about 2.2 km or 10 mins drive from the airport. You don't have to go far. It's definitely beautiful and you will get nice photos with beautiful sea view for sure ^.^

Nai Yang Beach offers beautiful views and sandy beaches. There are not many tourists like other beaches. It is suitable for those who like privacy and photography with a focus on beautiful sea view.

Apart from the beautiful views of the blue sea and sky, we can also watch airplanes' landing and get a good shot of it. Since Nai Yang Beach is close to the airport, we can see every plane that is about to land. But if you want a closer view, please walk a bit further to Mai Khao Beach.

Destination 2: Mai Khao Beach, a place to capture plan landing shot 

If you want to take a close-up photo of a plane landing, go to Mai Khao Beach area. From Nai Yang Beach, just a short walk, about 700 m. towards the north and you will find Mai Khao Beach. This beach is a famous spot for tourists to take photos with a landing plane.  

Destination 3 : Nai Thon Beach

Nai Thon Beach is another beach not far from Phuket airport and about 6 km. or 15 mins drive from Nai Yang Beach. Nai Thon Beach is a small beach, not crowded. It is not so well known but this beach also offers the beautiful sea view just like any other beaches. 

Destination 4: Rock Beach Swing, a new tourist spot opened in Nov 2019 

Those who like to take pictures of chic and cool scenery must come to Rock Beach Swing, which was just newly opened last month. It is a small beach surrounded by nature and close to the Three Bay Viewpoint, also known as Karon Viewpoint.  When arriving, we must park the car in front of the beach and then take a shuttle bus. This is because the path is quite steep and can't walk down the hills. It is around 800 m. from the parking lot.

If you want to have beautiful shots with no people, it is recommended to come here at 9 a.m. 

Rock Beach Swing is divided into several zones, you pay only the entry fee and no additional charge. If you are ready, let's put on our beautiful dress and go ^.^ 

Admission fee : 250 THB for Thai and 600 THB for foreigner (including a bottle of drinking water at the bar and shuttle bus service)

For the girls loving to take photos with beautiful and chic angles, just prepare your outfit as every corner is great for taking photos. 

There is a corner of the spectacular star bridge with the beautiful blue sea view as a backdrop, what a view!.

There's also a space ball corner, making you feel like sitting above the sea.

Destination 5: OYO 453 Thai Boutique Resort

After roaming around tourist attractions in Phuket until 3 pm, we now headed to our accommodation. We stayed at affordable price, good sleep and nice view resort at OYO 453 Thai Boutique Resort. It is a small resort, not far from Rawai Beach and  Rock Beach Swing.

OYO 453 Thai Boutique Resort is a 3-star resort, located near Rawai Beach, about 1.4 km. away. It is considered a good location. Despite not situated by the sea, you can still enjoy the beautiful sea view. The room price starts at only 1,1xx THB per night. We stayed at a Double Twin Room with Sea View. The starting price is 2,2xx THB per night including breakfast. The room is very large, the size is 220 sqm. This is indeed a very good price.

There're also pool villas where you can have a swimming pool view.

The lobby of the hotel is small but cozy, with a Thai boutique style.

This is the view you see after waking up, what a great time with a cup of hot coffee.

Destination 6: Promthep Cape Viewpoint, Phuket

I have to say that this is a must-visit destination when coming to Phuket. Promthep Cape Viewpoint is a location for enjoying the breathtaking sunset view. It is located about 2 km. away from Rawai Beach, at the southern end of Phuket.

It is only 2 km. away from the OYO 453 Thai Boutique Resort.

We recommend 2 locations for good photos. The first one is Promthep Cape Viewpoint and another location is Laem Phrom Thep Temple which is not so far from each other. The Abbey Attraction also presents a very beautiful view and with less crowd. 

Promthep Cape Viewpoint has a great spot for photos but many tourists.

Laem Phrom Thep Temple is also great for photos and not many people. It's open for a visit until 7 p.m. only. 

Destination 7: Chaofa Variety Phuket Weekend Night Market

Chaofa Variety Market probably is the largest flea market in Phuket. If you are visiting Phuket during the weekend, you must not miss it because there're a lot of food and local souvenirs that you can enjoy. After watching the sunset view at Phromthep Cape, we stopped by to find something to eat here. Eating while walking is quite fun. 

Chaofa Variety Weekend Market opens every Saturdays and Sundays, from 16.00-23.00. 

Destination 8: Go-Benz Rice Porridge, Phuket

I have to say that this is a must not miss restaurant in Phuket. After walking and eating something from the weekend flea market, we moved to this well known and local taste called "Go-Benz Rice Porridge". They were awarded the Michelin Guide 2018 & 2019, 2 years in a row. 

I recommend you to come early as you have to queue up and wait really long time. But the taste and price are worth the wait. It is delicious and inexpensive, starting at 60 THB.

Destination 9:  Photo time at Phuket Old Town 

Here is another must not miss. When visiting Phuket, you must take photos with Phuket Old Town which is artistic and chic. It gives you a feeling of living in a different part of Phuket. It's a mixed architecture of Thai and Chinese- Portuguese.

We came take photos at night because it's not hot and with less people.

Destination 10:  Big Buddha Phuket

After waking up at 10 a.m., we packed and checked out from the hotel immediately so that we would have time to roam around the entire day before flying back to Bangkok tonight at 6 p.m.  

The first stop for our second day trip was to pay respect to Big Buddha Phuket  at Phraphutthamingmongkhol-akenagakhiri (Big Buddha.) It is the largest Buddha statue in Phuket and the 3rd highest in Thailand. This temple has been built for a long time and has not been completed yet because of its size. The lap is 25.45 m wide and 45 m in height. It is a  concrete structure decorated with white jade marble "Suri Kantakan" from Myanmar. Only the white marble already weights 135 tons or about 2,500 sqm.

Phraphutthamingmongkhol-akenagakhiri (Big Buddha Phuket)

Location: Naga Koet Peak, Karon Subdistrict, Mueang Phuket District, Phuket 83100

Opening hours: Daily, 06.00-19.00 

Destination 11: Keeree View Bar & Restaurant Phuket.

It is a restaurant on the way up to Big Buddha Temple. After paying the respect to the temple, we came to have lunch here. It has good atmosphere with mountain view and Phuket city view, so great. In addition, the owner was really friendly. We were given special discount when the owner learned that we were from Bangkok. Tasty food and inexpensive price, with fresh coffee, feel free to stop by.

Destination 12: Ma Doo Bua Cafe' 

Ma Doo Bua Cafe is a café that is famous and well-known of the Victoria lotus, which has a very large leaf, up to 1.5 meters wide, so that people can go up to sit. It can support up to 65 kg. of weight. Ma Doo Bua Cafe' offers delicious food and also a great sport for tourists to take pictures of the lotus leaves. If anyone wants to take a picture on a lotus leaf, the additional price of 350 THB/person is required. For a drone photo, the starting price is 500 THB/person.
