Community of Ban Khao Klang

Khlong Prasong Subdistrict, Mueang District, Krabi Province

Our photographic journey with friends has begun again. First of all, I must say that some of the photos may be beautiful or not at all. 55 We are not photographers, we are not professionals. We take photos because we love to travel with our small cameras, Fuji X-e1, one for each of us. So that our followers can get to know tourist attractions in Krabi province that some people may not even know about. Krabi has a lot of places to visit, as I mentioned in previous posts that

Krabi, this city, you can't visit it all in one year.

The location that will be reviewed in this post is a Muslim community with a simple way of life. The main occupation is fishing. There are tourist attractions in terms of learning about the way of life and wisdom, such as making pateh cloth, simulating the construction of a tong-headed boat, the Sangkhod rice research center, and on this island there are also resort and homestay accommodations for those who want peace. However, there may have been some reviews in the past. Today's post will present the tourist attractions and the point where we set up camp: Khlong Lu, to watch the sunset.

Getting there: Take a tong-headed boat from the pier near Thara Public Park for 10 baht per person to cross the island to Tha Lae Pier. Upon arrival at the pier, you can hire a three-wheeled car or motorbike to travel around the island. It is easy to drive because there are no cars on this island and the roads on the island are not complicated. You can use the same route to drive around the island.

Headlong boat

It only takes a few minutes by boat to reach the pier. This pier is called Tha Le. We made an appointment with our friends at this pier. At this pier, you can also rent a three-wheeled car to travel around the island. But today we are using a motorcycle that our friend on the island lent us.

Our motorcycles are ready. Let's stop by the gas station first. The gas station on the island is a coin-operated one.

Start a slow life in the middle of the island, drive leisurely and find a spot to set up your camera to watch the sunset.

The simple way of life of the villagers on this island, where amenities and materialism are not important.

Three young men in control of the island: Friendship between ages and between paths

Have you ever seen a buffalo smile?

We drove to this beach, Klong Lu Beach, which is very long and wide, stretching as far as the eye can see. From the beach to the sea, it's a kilometer away. Let's just say it's the perfect place to set up our tripod and wait for the sunset.

The sun begins to set on the horizon, another way of life here.

The large sun slowly sets over the horizon.

Today's trip ended with the sun setting over the horizon. We're heading back to shore, but we're feeling pretty drained. We need to recharge, so I'd like to recommend this restaurant:

Bang Nara in Krabi

The restaurant opens at 5 pm and serves Southern Thai food, including rice salad, roti mataba, and much more. It's located in Soi Luang Pho, behind City Market.
