The scariest hostel isn't the one with ghosts, trust us...

When traveling alone, we always choose to sleep in hostels because we are afraid of ghosts and can't sleep alone. But this time, sleeping in a hostel made us sleepless... and this is the first time we've slept in a mixed hostel, which we'll probably remember and be scared of for a long time. 55 There was a dark humor story during our trip that happened because we had to stay in a mixed-gender dorm.

- The first night we slept alone in a room with 4 beds, it was more terrifying than sleeping alone in a single room. We had to sleep with the lights on all night, waking up and falling asleep again.

-The second night, hey, there's a roommate! But the point is, she's a man!!! Even more fun, I can't sleep even more than before because it's just you and me 555

  • The third night was even worse…. My roommate was a European man who dressed sexy all the time, and a Japanese man who slept in only his underwear!!! tie in products like meat, milk, and eggs are full.

As for the next nights ... I slept in a separate room for women only. I slept soundly and woke up feeling more refreshed than if I had used a sofa. There's no doubt that next time I'll choose to sleep in a women-only room. I'll be scarred for a long time!! 55

We must move on...

Every time we travel, we wake up around 5:00 AM - 6:00 AM (depending on how tired we are each day). Today, we have to walk to the bus terminal to go to Ipoh, a city located between KL and Penung. It is a small city surrounded by mountains. The first bus leaves at 8:00 AM and arrives in Ipoh at 10:00 AM. The bus we will be taking is Perak Transit. Please take note of this.

The bus ride takes about 2 hours and ends at the Aman Jaya bus terminal. From there, you can take a local bus to Ipoh city center.

Ipoh town

Ipoh is not well-known among Thai people or tourists. It is a lovely city with delicious food. If you come to Ipoh, you must try the white coffee, custard tarts, chicken rice, and many more dishes. Besides, it is also home to the amazing Lost World of Tambun water park. Next year, everyone will know Ipoh better because the state of Perak is heavily developing tourism. It might even surpass Penang.

(The highlight of Ipoh is the beautiful architecture of the city's train station, built by the British during the colonial era.)

Street Art

The street art in Ipoh is done by the same artist as in Penang. It was a pleasant walk, although it was quite hot. 55

Warning!! For those who travel alone like me, you have to be careful here. Anything can happen (according to the locals).

Wherever you go, be careful. Choose a good taxi and don't trust anyone easily. :D

Kellie's Castle

Kellie's Castle was built as a home for William Kellie Smith, a Scottish plantation owner in the 20th century. It was built on a hill that was previously a rubber plantation. Unfortunately, during the construction, Kellie Smith died suddenly, so the construction had to be stopped.

We traveled here by taking the Local bus from Ipoh to Gopeng. It took almost 2 hours and cost 2 RM. Then we took a taxi for 10 RM to get here. At first, I didn't think it would be this far, but it was worth the trip. On the way back, it's better to have a taxi waiting for you. It's true that there are buses passing by, but the wait is very long.

(The mansion looked mysterious, and it even had a basement. It was creepy even during the day.)


Ipoh night

Most shops here start to close around 8pm. If you are alone at night, it is not recommended to go out for a walk alone. (You may be robbed or run over.)

Let's go into town.....

From Ipoh to KL, you can take a train directly, but it is recommended to book in advance. We didn't book in time and it was full every time, so we were a bit sad. So we took a bus into the city instead. Go to the Local bus and take bus number 116 to Amanjaya Bus Terminal (the same place where we came from Cameron and got off here before entering Ipoh city).

Being cheated while traveling....

Being cheated while traveling is the fun of life!! Normally, when we travel, we don't plan anything at all (that's the weakness of being cheated). We just go wherever we want to go. But we are quite careful about being tricked and cheated, but in the end, we made a mistake. When we arrived at Amanjaya Bus Terminal, we tried to find a counter that sells tickets to KL until we found one. We asked the seller for the price, and he told us 25 Rm and quickly collected our money. Then he took us to the ticket counter on the opposite side. At that moment, we felt that something was wrong. He should have given us the ticket like every other time we bought tickets from different places. We received the ticket from that counter and saw that the ticket clearly stated the price of 20 RM!! At that moment, we were very upset, but we didn't want to make a fuss because it wasn't a lot of money. But I have to admit that it was annoying!! They cheated us blatantly.

Kuala lumpur

The journey from Ipoh to KL takes about 2 hours. The bus from Amanjaya Bus Terminal will drop you off at TBS, where you can take a bus or train back to your accommodation or continue your journey in KL. Although Malaysia's trains are newer and cooler than ours, they are not without problems. Some stations experience delays or cancellations, so it's best to allow plenty of time. If you get lost or don't know where to go, it's recommended to start at KL Sentral.

Petronas Twin Towers

If you come to KL but don't come here, it's like you haven't arrived. You have to check in and take a picture with the twin towers :D It's not difficult to get here. Take the Monorail to Bukit Nanas station and then walk to the Rapid KL red line at Dang Wangi station. Get off at Ampang Park station. Or you can walk from the Monorail Bukit Nanas station to here. It's not too far.

Batu Caves

It is a limestone cave located north of Kuala Lumpur. You can get there by taking the Kelana Jaya Line red train to the last stop, Batu Cave Station. This is a Hindu religious site.

Malaysia

In our opinion, it is a country with a lot of nature. There are still many places to visit here. Transportation is quite diverse, but it is not very good yet. There are still some problems. People are both lovely and kind, and some are bad. Don't judge people by their appearance. Some people may look scary but are kind, while others may look good but may not be good.
