This is yet another time that I have embarked on a journey, taking a short break.

Two days, one night

The destination of this trip is a resort with a very unique name.

...Cat's Milk House Retreat...

The Cat Milk House is located in Kanchanaburi Province, in the western region of Thailand.

Kanchanaburi Province is a large province. The province's territory includes both forests and waterfalls.

The cave hall of the dam is also an area rich in historical stories.

The main river of the province is the Mae Klong River, which is formed by the confluence of two main tributaries, the Khwae Yai River and the Khwae Noi River.

For Kanchanaburi, I see it as a province that can accommodate a wide variety of tourist styles.

Whether you love nature or conquering national parks, there are Thong Pha Phum National Park and Sai Yok National Park.

Or, if you prefer to relax by the water, there are two options: the lakeside area above the Srinakarin Dam or the banks of the Kwae River.

In addition to visiting the historical sites, etc., along the way, you can also stop by the Traiyok Waterfall.

This sparked an interesting trip.

My trip this time has no details of the stopovers.

…simply because I wanted to relax in peace and quiet, witnessing the languid atmosphere of the flowing water.

I drove out of Bangkok on the Pin Klao-Nakhon Chai Si Road.

The distance is about 150 km. Drive comfortably at a leisurely pace, and you'll arrive in the late afternoon.

"Cat Milk House"

The entrance to the resort is a bit of a winding road, with several turns leading to the village access road.

Signs with cat faces are posted at intervals.

Enter the room... soak in the tub...

Turning the car into the resort, the resort staff came out to greet me.

I checked in and moved my belongings into the house. The afternoon sun made me want to get into my room as soon as possible.

I got a pink Suite room, a vibrant color that matches the resort's concept.

Located near the swimming pool, with a distant view of the Mae Klong River.

The room has a very large, molded concrete soaking tub.

Without delay, I turned on the water to prepare for a soak in the evening. The tub was very large.

If it's winter, it should feel like soaking in an onsen.

But for the summer, I turn it on to normal temperature water and soak...

More comfortable.

The resort's use of sculpted concrete pools creates a unique tactile experience.

A natural pool, similar to a large clay pot, resembling a natural hot spring.

The resort also offers other types of rooms, which have different colors and materials used in the decoration.

Varies

While I was taking pictures, I had the opportunity to meet the owner of the resort, Mr. Ton.

Khun Ton invited me to see other types of rooms, so I took some pictures.

This is another type of room where the bathtub is a glass bathtub.

This house is the biggest one. The bed is also big.

The bathroom is an outdoor type, where you can enjoy the birds and the trees.

When entering the bathroom.

Some houses have woven rattan beds and hammocks for relaxing.

Enjoy, enjoy

Explore the cat... Meow meow and come...

After I put my belongings in the room, I went out for a walk to explore the resort.

Mr. Ton... walked by and came to say hello.

It was then that I had the opportunity to talk to and get to know Khun Ton.

Khun Ton was very friendly and waved me over to take a look around the different areas of the resort.

Ninety tells and introduces the resort with a small voice and smile.

His speech was filled with pride.

A lot of dedication and love has been put into this cat milk house.

It made me, the listener,

Everyone is impressed and falls in love with this cat milk house.

The origin of the cat milk house, Mr. Ton said, is a question that everyone must ask.

According to Mr. Ton, this is a good opportunity for Baan Nom Maew to have the opportunity to talk and greet guests.

I think it would be better to let Baan Nom Mao answer your questions when you stay there.

However, if anyone wants to know beforehand, it's not difficult to find.

The decor will be heavily focused on color, in the Asian Color style, which blends Indian, Thai, Chinese, and Arabic influences.

It is vibrant and distinct.

The most relaxing and chilling corner is by the river.

I really like the atmosphere here in the morning and evening.

Early in the morning, I walked barefoot on the grass.

The grass here is thick and soft, making it comfortable and relaxing to walk on.

It's like getting a foot spa, relaxing both body and mind.

The evening atmosphere here is very good.

Imagine a peaceful, serene area by the river, nestled against the mountains. That's exactly the mood and feeling you'll get.

This area is used for dining throughout the day, morning, noon and evening. The pavilion is high, airy and spacious.

The atmosphere gradually darkened in this area.

Soft background music is played throughout the day.

Buzzing...buzzing at the salt pond

The swimming pool at Baan Nom Mao is extraordinary. It's a salt-water pool.

And the lights at night can change color too.

Delicious and satisfying... the best!!! The chef

I rely on the Cat Milk House for every meal.

The food was delicious and I loved it so much that I even had lunch here before leaving.

I love the vibrant flavors and rich intensity of the dishes here.

Recommended menu: Cucumber rice, Cat's milk fried rice, Banana blossom fritters, Deep-fried red snapper with herbs

Watermelon rice is a dish with a rather strong flavor, but the juiciness of the watermelon helps to enhance the sweetness of the rice.

It is a creative menu that challenges you to try.

Translation:

This menu also has a specific way of eating. Start by scooping rice and topping it with crispy fish.

Crispy fried shallots, scooped onto a slice of watermelon, then a squeeze of lime juice. All ready to pop into your mouth.

Cat's milk fried rice tastes like a combination of fried rice with chili paste and fried rice with tom yum soup.

Add fingerroot as well.

This menu is really delicious and is a favorite for people who like spicy food like me. But if you can't handle spicy food,

You can request the kitchen to make it less spicy.

One of the special things about eating here is

Which menu must have side vegetables? The vegetables here will be served as Chinese cabbage and yardlong beans.

Edible clitoria ternatea flowers and sweet potatoes, which are delicious to eat, such as clitoria ternatea flowers.

At first, I was a little hesitant, wondering if it would be bitter or astringent. But after trying one flower, the rest... I ate them all!

Translation:

It's like eating something that comes from nature and is free of toxins, and it feels safe.

It's a meal that feels very comfortable with the ingredients.

Translation:

As for the cassava in the vicinity (I call it by the local name in the north), in general

Translation:

We will find that people will eat it in the form of fruit, but when it comes to side dishes,

Chili paste or fried rice with sweet and juicy, plus the crispness of sweet potato.

and provides a touch that complements spicy food, helping to enhance the juiciness and reduce the spiciness of the dish.

Perfect breakfast...

For breakfast, Baan Nom Maew offers a set menu.

There are 2 sets to choose from: Thai food set and American breakfast set.

For drinks, tea, coffee, cocoa, you can make it yourself.

Floating around...enjoying it

If you are someone who enjoys local culture and wants to experience the authentic way of life,

At Baan Nom Maew, we offer long-tail boat services to take you along the Kwai River.

Translation:

Some people want to be picked up from the bridge over the River Kwai and then travel to the resort.

Or, if you prefer a resort, you can ask to be taken on a short boat ride along the two banks of the river. Just enough to enjoy the scenery, depending on your preference.

I'm afraid you'll have to contact the resort directly for that information. However, from what I understand, this service is quite popular.

Many guests enjoy watching the scenery and way of life along the Kwai River.

This close to many people

Translation:

La la la, lullaby... See you later, see you soon.

My impressions of "Cat Milk House" translated into a review

Translation:

As I have told you, you have read and seen the pictures.

"Cat's Milk House" is a private resort close to nature.

The food is delicious and affordable. It's a great place to relax and unwind.

Go with the flow of the water and the cool morning breeze, blissfully, blissfully...
