Readme before you journey
Join us on a trip to the beautiful islands of Racha and Mai Thon in Phuket, where the crystal-clear waters will leave you breathless. Many of you may have already heard of, seen, or even visited Racha or Mai Thon Island.
And for this trip to Racha Island - Mai Thon Island, it was a one-day diving trip to 2 islands. We traveled with Love Andaman with the following itinerary:
Roughly translated, it means: We went to Racha Island early in the morning, when there were still few tourists. The gentle sunshine allowed us to fully experience the beauty of Racha Island and have a wonderful time. Then we went to enjoy a delicious meal.
Eat, relax, and enjoy various activities in a chill and comfortable atmosphere at Koh Mai Thon. This is the perfect combination for a one-day trip itinerary.
The trip begins with a call from Love Andaman staff to confirm the trip, schedule the time and place, and arrange for a pick-up and drop-off service from your accommodation one day before the trip. On the day of the trip,

This means that the car will pick you up later and drop you off earlier, so you have more time to eat breakfast and prepare. When you return, you will also arrive at the hotel earlier and have more time to relax. It's a good thing I chose a good location for the hotel.
Upon arriving at the pier, we first took in the view. The early morning atmosphere, around 7:00 AM, was pleasant with the gentle sunlight.

After a while, the staff of Love Andaman called out the names of the trip participants and distributed wristbands.

For those who are hungry, please feel free to enjoy some tea, coffee, Ovaltine, and snacks to keep your stomach happy. When everyone is ready and the boat is prepared, our tour guide for today will be Guide Neo, or maybe Nemo? I think it's Neo. Don't think he's the presenter for D'Lish, okay? No, no, no.
The friendly guide, Neo, gave us instructions on the trip, including rules and prohibitions, for the safety and peaceful enjoyment of everyone's journey. Those who are going on a trip like this are advised to listen to this as well, so that you can travel there and back happily. (Let me just share a small experience from just one trip, a mild case. Let's just say that I went on a trip to Krabi, where there were a lot of people, including some foreign tourists who didn't pay much attention to the warnings. It turned out that while they were snorkeling, they got their toes cut by coral or something under the sea, and it was bleeding profusely. At that time, the foreigner was holding his fingers and toes, and I don't know how he was doing. All I saw was blood, and it still makes me shudder. So we had to call another boat to take him back to shore immediately. Therefore, for your own safety, as well as that of your fellow travelers, please listen to the guide's instructions.)

After a short boat ride, we arrived at Racha Yai Island. As the boat approached the pier, the guide opened a cooler and handed out cans of water to everyone.

The boat anchored at Ao Phatak Bay. Many people have probably seen beautiful pictures of it on the internet. On this trip, I got to see it in all its glory. As I got off the boat and looked out at the sea, I was amazed. The weather was perfect, the water was crystal clear, and the sky was incredibly blue.
The sea is calm, the water is crystal clear, and there are fish swimming under this walkway. There are few people because they went early in the morning.

Looking left, looking right, it's really beautiful and peaceful. This is what I want when I come to Koh Racha.

Only a few boats arrived early in the morning, making the sea still beautiful, the water still clear, and the gentle sun not too hot.
Explore Koh Racha Yai a little bit. There are shops in front of the beach for shopping and sunbathing. Because if you come at noon, it will be very hot. And there are not many places to avoid the sun. I have been to Koh Racha Yai before.

Once everyone is on board, the boat will leave the pier and wait. This will keep the walkway clear of boats. This is the advantage of coming early. Anyone who wants to swim in the sea or jump into the sea is welcome to do so at their leisure. The path is clear.
For those who don't want to swim in the sea, follow the guide to the viewpoint. They've already arrived, so hurry and catch up!
The path to the viewpoint in this area reveals beautiful rocks when the water recedes in the morning. The water is clear, and small fish swim around the rocks.

Walking along the path, there were two ways to go up. One way passed by a restaurant, but we preferred a little adventure, so we went the way that involved climbing small rocks. This led us around to the wooden walkway you see here.

We've arrived at the viewpoint, and the view is stunning! The water is crystal clear, and our fellow travelers are having a blast taking photos. We're the only group here, so we have plenty of space to strike poses, take pictures, and just relax and enjoy the scenery.

After taking some photos, we walked down to the bottom as the water level had receded. We carefully climbed down the rocks, along the edge of the rocky outcrop.

As we sat down to play by the rocks, we saw a lot of crabs and Teen fish. We sat there enjoying the breeze for a while until the guide called us back because we were going to go diving next. So we slowly climbed back up the rocks.
Stop by to take a photo at the viewpoint, a popular spot (I happened to see people showing off their photos, so I wanted to join in).
From Ao Phatak, the guide will take you diving at Ao Siam. But while walking and admiring the beautiful sea, the sea today, walking with the guide, the guide suddenly stopped and said, "Trash, trash, trash." Then he turned around and walked back to pick up the trash immediately. I could only admire him in my heart. I forgot to bring my camera to take a picture of it. Here, I would like to commend the guide of Love Andaman for helping to conserve the environment.
From Ao Pa Tak, we took a boat to Ao Siam to go diving at this spot. The seawater is very clear today.

There are many kinds of fish. See those little ones? They are clownfish.

Besides clownfish, there are also moray eels, but I couldn't get a shot of their heads. I tried many times, but I could only get their tails. They burrowed into the coral reefs very quickly.
The underwater scenery is so beautiful. If you come on this trip, don't miss out on diving.

After a tiring scuba diving session, we refueled ourselves with a light snack before heading to Koh Mai Thon for lunch.
From the Gulf of Siam, we went to Ko Mai Thon. It only took a short boat ride to get there. I really enjoyed this trip because we didn't have to travel far. We just took a quick boat ride and we were there. It was so nice not to be tired from the journey.

After getting off the boat, I admired the sea. Oh wow, the water is crystal clear again. Looking down, I could see the sand and coral reefs clearly. There were fish swimming around too. The shadowy shape you see there, that's a fish. I'm not sure what kind of fish it is, but it's long and slender, probably a sharp-nosed fish.

There is a swimming pool nearby. Anyone who brought their children and doesn't want to go swimming in the sea can come and jump in the pool.

Walk a little bit, this is the resting point of Love Andaman, where we are staying. The atmosphere under the shade of the trees has many seats for you to sit and enjoy the cool breeze.

After a tiring dive, we arrived at Koh Mai Thon and had some snacks. There was so much food that we were full and happy. By Love Andaman
Tea, coffee, Ovaltine, snacks, cookies are always refilled until they run out. But there is always a lot of food. Every time I go to scoop, I always get to eat it. Especially cookies, cakes, besides snacks, there are also many kinds of drinks, both carbonated drinks, blended fruit juices, various fruit juices. Whoever likes which one, feel free to choose.
After swimming, we waited for a while. The staff were preparing lunch: grilled squid and prawns. Go all out! The prawns were huge.

Lunch is ready, let's eat at the table under the shade of the trees. The atmosphere by the sea is amazing.

A lush atmosphere by the sea, everyone is full. Don't want to do anything, sit under the shade of a tree, set up a circle, sip a cold drink, chat, it's another kind of fun.

Or if anyone wants to find a spot to relax and play, feel free to do so.
If you're looking for a place to take a nap or relax under the trees, this swing bed is the perfect spot. It can comfortably accommodate two or three people, and you can lie down and gaze at the treetops while enjoying the cool breeze. I've tried it myself, and I can honestly say it's incredibly comfortable. You should definitely give it a try!

Take a walk to enjoy the view on the other side, near the rocky outcrop close to the bridge. This is another spot that's great for swimming, as the waves are very calm.

After exploring the island for a while, it was time for the guide to take us diving in front of Ko Mai Thon. It was another round of diving, let's go!

The underwater world off the coast of Koh Mai Thon is teeming with life. There are a variety of fish, including many different types of coral, sea urchins, sea cucumbers, and tiger clams. There are also clownfish and anemones. I was only able to capture a small portion of the beauty on camera. I encourage you to come and experience it for yourself.

We snorkeled in groups, with the guide pointing out things to us. But we were so busy taking pictures that we didn't really hear what kind of fish we saw. After snorkeling for a while, anyone who wanted to quit could swim back to shore, since we weren't far from the beach. Or, you could keep snorkeling until the guide led us back to shore.
As soon as I got ashore, I was hungry again. The sun was so hot, I wanted something cold to drink to refresh myself. So I ordered a kiwi smoothie, and a staff member from Love Andaman blended it for me. Oh... it was so cool and refreshing! I followed it up with a little bit of ice cream.
Followed by Ovaltine, add red water, condensed milk, cool and refreshing.

Let's take a break. Those who want to go up to the viewpoint can follow the guide. As for us, we'll just sit and enjoy the view from below. It's not that I'm lazy, but I was too busy looking for snacks and didn't make it up there in time. Hehe. Then, around 3 pm, the boat came to pick us up, and it was time to go back. We walked past the helicopter landing pad.
I've been to Koh Mai Thon. Today was so much fun. I'll come back again if I have the chance.

In summary, I really enjoyed the trip to Racha Island and Mai Thon Island. We arrived at Racha Island early in the morning when there were few people and the sun was still mild. The water was clear and not cloudy from boats, and the beach was not crowded, making it easy to swim and run on the sea walkway without disturbing anyone.
Food is plentiful, there is no shortage, and there are services for tourists all the time, which is very impressive.
The journey was comfortable, not tiring, and didn't take long. From the mainland to the island and back, there was still time to relax at the hotel afterwards. It was a fun, relaxing, and delicious trip.
