"3,000 Baht Getaway to Koh Chang, Trat" - A Must-Read!

#Minibus tickets Bangkok-Trat (it is recommended to buy minibus tickets no later than 13.00 pm, otherwise you will not be in time for the ferry to the island) can be purchased at the Victory Monument, in front of the Kway Chap shop. The journey to Trat takes 5-6 hours. Once you arrive in Trat, there will be orange songthaews to take you to the Koh Chang ferry pier. You can buy ferry tickets directly from the orange songthaew that the minibus drops you off at. Then take the songthaew to the Koh Chang ferry pier for 25-30 minutes. Once you arrive at the ferry pier, you can board the ferry according to the schedule.

#Natural Bay Ferry Pier: Ferries depart every 45 minutes, round trip, from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM. The ferry crossing takes 20 minutes because it is closer than the Center Point Ferry Pier (where I boarded).

Step 1 "Buy a van ticket" The fare is 300 baht (recommended to buy a ticket for a round after 13.00 pm) Otherwise, you will be in time for the round to cross the island.

Minivans to Koh Chang Pier, Trat Province are available at the Victory Monument. The vans depart in front of Rajavithi Hospital, directly at the stairs leading up to the BTS. The first van leaves at 5:00 AM, with subsequent departures every hour.

From Victory Point in front of the Kway Chap shop, the journey takes about 5-6 hours, even as far as Trat.

Step 2: "Buy a ferry ticket" The ferry costs 80 baht / trip. The van will stop for us to get off at the orange 2-row car stop at the red light before the entrance to the ferry pier. We then buy a ferry ticket. The orange 2-row car will then take us to the Koh Chang ferry pier. The 2-row car does not charge a fare because it is included in the van fare. However, if you take a car from another place to Trat, I don't know if the 2-row car will charge a fare or not. It's good to keep some money just in case. The 2-row car fare should not exceed 70 baht. It takes 25-30 minutes to travel to the ferry pier. Once you arrive at the pier, board the ferry. The last ferry leaves at 7:00 PM.

Step 3 "Call Uncle to pick you up" Uncle Sangkan Homestay (recommended, cheapest) I'm sorry I didn't take a picture of the room for you to see, but I know that Uncle built a new room with a new air conditioner that is very cool.

- Bus fare from Don Mueang to Victory Monument (A2 route): 30 baht
