This trip was originally for business, not pleasure. But, thanks to an early finish, an opportunity arose to explore the natural beauty surrounding Chiang Mai.

Even with limited time, a car can unlock a world of natural escapes near Chiang Mai. This half-day adventure proves that even business trips can offer unexpected opportunities for rejuvenation and connection with nature.

Let's start by having a local lunch, because we believe that "an army marches on its stomach." Let's start at point 1, "Krua Long Khao."

The name is quite unique. If you have a question mark like this, you need to find the answer. It turns out that "Lhong Khao" is a northern language word derived from "rice barn". This is because the shop has adapted the rice barn into a restaurant. Just follow the sign.

Almost there. The parking lot is full, but I'm not parking yet. There's another one near the bathroom, so I can walk closer.

As I stepped out of the car, the sound of music filled the air. The melody of "Tord Yon Ton Yon" echoed through the streets, instantly transporting me to the heart of the northern city.

The attic is quite low because it used to be a rice barn. But it gives a "khantoke" vibe.

It's better to sit down below. The view is good and it's open and comfortable.

It feels like being at home in the garden.

Let's order food now, I'm hungry.

If you order plain water, it will come in a classic style, in a cute little jug like this.

Enjoying the scenic view, and in a moment, the food arrives: "Stir-fried minced pork with egg".

Crispy Pork Belly

This phrase translates to "Crispy Pork Belly" in English.

It is a popular dish in Thai cuisine, consisting of pork belly that is deep-fried until the skin is crispy and the meat is tender. It is often served with a dipping sauce, such as nam prik pla (a spicy fish sauce) or sweet chili sauce.

And the butterfly pea and lime water, I ordered this one because of the color.

Every dish was delicious and the prices were very reasonable. After a satisfying meal, we prepared to continue our journey. Dessert would have to wait,

as we had a goal to reach. ^_^

Point 2: "Wat Pa Dara Phirom and the Royal Palace"

This serene spot, located near the ascent to Mon Cham, offers a cool and refreshing respite.

The interior is very beautiful and elegant.

If you have time, you can also choose to go up to Mon Cham. It's not far away. It's even better to stay there for one night because it's beautiful no matter what season you go.

After you've had your fill of the sights and sounds, continue on the road. Go straight until you reach a red light. You will see this sign. That's our destination.

Oh! It's time for a "coffee break" upon arrival. At this point, point 3, "Phu San Fah".

Upon entering, you will be greeted by a group of Super Heroes.

They have both a resort and a coffee shop, but we just came to sip coffee and enjoy the atmosphere of the rice fields.

The photo spots with flowers and the overall chill atmosphere are a perfect 10.

Enjoying the view, and in a moment, the snacks and coffee will arrive.

Empowered, I walked around taking photos. There was a swimming pool.

The full name of the temple is "Wat Ban Den Sa Ri Si Mueang Kan".
