Opened on August 1, 2016. If you want to experience the thrill, you must go!
I went there on August 27, 2016. I was afraid of falling, lol. The picture was taken on that day.
#DoiTungTreeTopWalk at Mae Fah Luang Garden, Chiang Rai
The activity fee is 150 baht per person. It's worth the thrill!
The starting point of my desire to visit DoiTung Tree Top Walk was a photo posted on Facebook.
I can't remember which page I saw it on, but I thought it looked interesting and decided to check it out, especially since I was planning to visit my hometown during that time.
All I knew was that it was located somewhere in Doi Tung, so I didn't think it would be too difficult to get there.
However, on the day of the trip, we ended up driving through Doi Mae Salong.
It would have been much better if we had taken the Doi Tung route, as it is much closer and the road is not as steep as Doi Mae Salong, even though both are paved.
Our main concern was that we had rented a car with only a 1200 CC engine, and we were worried that it might not be able to handle the steep climb.
Oh well, since we were already there, we decided to give it a try and see how the 1200 CC engine would perform. We crossed our fingers and started driving up the bridge.
After finding a parking spot, we bought tickets to visit the Mae Fah Luang Garden.
Admission to the Mae Fah Luang Garden costs 90 baht per person (50% discount for seniors aged 60 and over and students).
I also received a 50% discount that day, not because I was a senior or a student, but because I was a woman. It was Mother's Day in August, and I was eligible for the discount. I paid 45 baht.
After getting my admission ticket to the Mae Fah Luang Garden, I continued walking.
Upon entering the garden, you will find a sign for the DoiTung Tree Top Walk, which has an additional activity fee of 150 baht per person.
You will need to purchase an additional ticket to receive equipment for exploring the garden, including safety gear.
The equipment will look something like this: 555
A harness consisting of leg straps and a waist lock.
A rope connects to a hook, which locks onto a wire rope along the entire path.
The staff will guide you on how to walk and climb this wooden bridge, and will also demonstrate how to use the safety equipment.
Bags and cameras can be brought up, but you must take care of them yourself, as the wooden bridge will sway back and forth.
I must say that if you bring a large camera, it will be difficult to take pictures, as the bridge is very unstable. It's a good thing we brought a small camera, which is somewhat manageable.
When climbing the bridge, a rope will be connected to the hook to lock it onto the wire rope throughout the walk.
Please note that you cannot change positions once you have started walking.
Once you start walking, you cannot stop and let someone else go in front of you or behind you. You must play rock-paper-scissors right now.
When you are ready, please proceed.
We chose to walk in the first few rows, so it was easy to take pictures without many people in them. Hehe. The person in front of us was a staff member who led the way.
The staff member can detach the hook and switch positions to take care of other team members.

A Treetop Suspension Bridge: Embracing Nature's Embrace
The suspension bridge, suspended amidst the lush canopy, embodies a harmonious coexistence with nature. Instead of felling trees to clear a path, the bridge ingeniously integrates them into its structure, showcasing a commitment to environmental preservation. As you encounter a tree along the way, it becomes an integral part of the bridge, seamlessly blending with the natural surroundings.
Continuing along the path, the wooden bridge narrows, leading to further adventures and discoveries.
Is there anything else I can help you with?
This trip, I'm cheating on KEEN for a day. I'm wearing flip-flops for the whole trip, haha. It's the rainy season, and I don't want my shoes to get wet.
Flip-flops are the most convenient for me.
The picture shows that the two-plank wooden walkway is like this. It will be the same width, narrow like this.
There is also a mesh net around the body, another layer. The bottom floor will be 10-20 meters high, depending on the area.

In terms of the thrill factor, I would say it's moderate. Perhaps I have a high tolerance for thrills, but I found the experience more exciting than scary.
The excitement stems from the carefully spaced intervals that prevent overcrowding at any given point.
The course features multiple sections with varying heights throughout its 300-meter length.
The constant swaying motion, especially when others are walking behind you, adds to the thrill.
Holding onto the mesh netting on both sides is essential and adds to the fun.
There are many cool photo spots to check in and take pictures.
It's up to you to decide which angles you want to capture.
The walk on the treetop bridge has ended.
The hook has been successfully unlocked, completing the #DoiTungTreeTopWalk.
Hand washing facilities are available after returning the equipment.

I took many pictures, but I'm only sharing a few here.
Another thing we love about Doi Tung is the abundance of flowers in the garden, which we couldn't resist capturing with our cameras.
