Jeju Island Solo Trip: A Relaxing Bus Tour

This Songkran holiday, I embarked on a solo trip to Jeju Island, South Korea, exploring the island's beauty by bus. This was my first time visiting Jeju, and I opted for a relaxed itinerary, enjoying the scenic views and local cuisine.

  • Yakchunsa Temple (약천사(제주))
  • Daepo Jusangjeolli Cliff (주상절리(대포동지삿개))
  • O'sulloc Museum (오설록티뮤지엄)

Day 1

April 13, 2016

  • Seongeup Folk Village (성읍민속마을): A traditional Korean village showcasing Joseon Dynasty architecture and lifestyle.
  • Seopjikoji (섭지코지): A scenic coastal area known for its dramatic cliffs and rock formations.
  • Seongsan Ilchulbong (성산일출봉): A volcanic cone offering stunning sunrise views and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Safely arrived at Jeju Airport and passed through immigration without any problems. Jeju Airport is not very big. We came out and followed the City Bus signs until we reached Gate 2, where we found the Bus Stop with a timetable.

From Airport to Bus Terminal

To reach the bus terminal from the airport, take bus routes 70, 95, or 100 (other routes may be available, but confirmation is needed). We opted for bus route 100, paying the 1,150 won fare with a Cash Bee or T-money card. The journey took approximately 15 minutes and concluded at the Jeju Intercity Bus Terminal.

Luggage Storage and Exploration

Upon arrival, we stored our luggage at the guesthouse (Sum Guest House Jeju Airport, conveniently located opposite the bus terminal). With our belongings safely stowed, we embarked on our exploration of the city.
