First of all, I would like to thank everyone who has taken the time to click on my review. As you may know, I have opened a fan page called "Little Duck in the Fog" (https://www.facebook.com/littleduckinthefog). If you are interested, please feel free to visit and chat with me.

After enjoying the Royal Silk Lounge of Thai Airways, I departed from Suvarnabhumi Airport and arrived at Changi Airport in Singapore. For this trip, I booked accommodation through Agoda for 2 people, 1 night, at a cost of 3561.21 baht (including the 21 satang). The other room was for 3 people and cost 4807.73 baht. The price was a bit steep, but I believe my girlfriend chose the most comfortable option. She prefers locations close to the train station, with minimal walking distance. It's a bit more expensive, but convenient, and has a private bathroom.

Flights from Southeast Asia typically land at Terminal 1 at Changi Airport.

After passing through immigration, I was only asked one question: "Are you _my name_?" I immediately replied "Yes," and the interview was over. I then walked to the right to collect my luggage. Look for the large "TRAIN TO CITY" sign. Follow the signs to the end, where you will find the Shuttle Skytrain to take you to Terminal 2 to connect to the MRT into the city.

Upon arrival at Terminal 2, locate the City Train sign to access the MRT.

Before reaching the MRT exit, we need to descend a long, high escalator. Once at the bottom, walk back towards the left side. You will find the Singapore Pass purchase booth. I opted for the 2-day pass for $16, but a $10 card deposit is required, bringing the total to $26. Don't forget to exchange the $10 deposit on your return trip. Otherwise, you'll end up with a $250 souvenir card!

With your ticket in hand, fear not! Simply tap your card and enter the MRT. To reach the city, we must transfer to the Tanah Merah station. Upon arrival at Tanah Merah (EW4), the doors will open on both sides. Exit through the left side, following the signs for Joo Koon. Board the train from this platform to continue your journey into the city.

Getting to V Hotel Bencoolen

After exiting the Tanah Merah MRT station, transfer to the Circle Line (yellow) and head towards Dhoby Ghaut. Remember to check the destination board as there are trains heading to both Dhoby Ghaut and Marina Bay. Disembark at Bras Basah station, the penultimate stop, and take Exit D or E. Upon exiting, you will find a Starbucks and a bus stop on the main road. Directly opposite, across Bencoolen Street, is the Food Republic Center.

Note: As of this writing, Bencoolen Street is undergoing extensive construction for a new shopping center, expected to be completed around April 2017.

Turn right at the corner of Food Republic center, you will see 7-11. Walk further and you will find the hotel.

The front desk is a counter service with friendly staff who speak clear English.

Free internet access is available on two computers located on the side of the building.

The check-in process was quick. I took the elevator to the 9th floor, room 26, where my mother and aunt were staying. This room was booked for 3 people and has one large bed that can accommodate 2 people and one small bed. As you can see, the room is quite small.

Let's take a look at the room for two people. It seems slightly larger than the room for three people, which is located on the same floor, room 9-07.

There is a TV, a refrigerator, and a storage cabinet at the end of the bed. Oh, there is also a small safe.

The bathroom facilities were satisfactory, comparable to those found in typical Asian hotels.

The bathroom also has a set of amenities. Can I complain a little? Since I've stayed at various hotels, the toothbrushes provided by every hotel seem to be manufactured by the same factory. They're incredibly stiff and have sharp bristles. Every time I brush my teeth, I end up with blood in my mouth. Just kidding, haha!

This concludes our hotel review. The next episode will be a travel review. See you then!
