Simple and Short

The accommodation is simple and made from natural materials, primarily well-woven bamboo, blending seamlessly with the environment. Each room sits on the water, with constant mist keeping it cool without the need for air conditioning or fans. However, each room does have a traditional fan for additional cooling during the day. In front of each room, a hammock hangs for relaxing throughout the day, while a balcony extends outward, offering stunning views of the surrounding nature. Guests can also jump into the water from the platform in front of their room and enjoy swimming throughout the day. A popular activity is to let yourself drift with the current from the first platform to the last. Remember to wear a life jacket, as the water flows quickly, even for strong swimmers. Additionally, water activities like canoeing and bamboo rafting are available, along with exploring the Mon village behind the accommodation.

As dusk settled, a cool breeze swept across the air, the only illumination coming from a flickering lantern. After dinner, a traditional Mon dance performance began at 8 pm sharp. The dancers were adorned in Mon attire, and the lack of electricity created a dimly lit atmosphere, making photography challenging. However, the absence of light pollution offered a spectacular view of the stars. We relaxed on the balcony of our floating hut, enjoying the cool breeze, the sound of flowing water, and the mesmerizing sight of the stars. If we were lucky, we might even catch a glimpse of a shooting star. In the morning, elephants frolicked in the water, eagerly accepting food from onlookers. The peaceful ambiance was perfect for a relaxing getaway, a true escape for the weary soul. Come and experience it for yourself!

On the second day, we will go camping at "Hin Tok River Camp," a trendy camping spot. If you want to be chic and cool, you should definitely come here. The tents are decorated in a safari style, with a vintage touch and a mix of natural materials like woven bamboo, making the decor look like a natural fit. Staying here is like camping in the middle of the forest, but with all the amenities, so you don't feel any hardship. The tents have private bathrooms with hot water heaters, and the surrounding area is surrounded by lush trees, making it cool and comfortable. If you have a mat, a pillow, and a book, you'll probably sleep soundly all night long...^^

In the afternoon, the sun was a little less intense, so we went swimming at the pool on the cliff. We walked down the stairs to the water's edge. It was a limestone pool with crystal clear and cool water. We sat in the water and enjoyed the view of the Mae Klong River, which curved perfectly. It was a truly blissful experience. We walked down a little further to the raft balcony and sat there to admire the scenery in front of us. The view was of the river and mountains, which was a perfect backdrop for a relaxing evening. In the evening, there was a buffet dinner with a wide variety of dishes to choose from. The tables were set up in the middle of the garden, decorated with orange lights, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

In the morning, we went for a bike ride to enjoy the scenery and the cool weather. It was truly amazing. From the resort, we cycled about 2-3 kilometers to the suspension bridge. The bridge crosses the River Kwai, and on the opposite side is Wat Had Ngiew. In the morning, there is a light mist hanging over the mountains, creating a truly natural atmosphere. Walking along the riverbank, we saw people relaxing by the water, paddling boats, and fishing. After our bike ride, we went to explore the historical remains of the Death Railway from World War II at the Hellfire Pass Memorial Museum, which is less than 500 meters from our accommodation. This is one section of the Death Railway where prisoners of war during World War II manually cut through the rock mountain to create a passage for the Thai-Burma Railway. The Death Railway walk takes about 2 hours. Hin Tok River Camp is a peaceful and secluded place to relax and enjoy nature.

After leaving Hin Tok River Camp, we rushed to check in and enjoy activities at another location: "Home Phu Toei River Kwai Resort". This riverside resort features teak wood construction that blends seamlessly with nature. The modern room design boasts stylish color tones while maintaining a warm atmosphere. The high ceilings make the rooms feel spacious and comfortable for relaxation. Guests can also enjoy stunning river views from their private balconies.

The surrounding area of the accommodation is surrounded by trees, creating a peaceful atmosphere. You can breathe in the fresh air of nature to the fullest. During the day, you can sit and eat with a view of the river, and the cool breeze will make you feel even more relaxed. After a full meal, you might just want to fall asleep right there....^^ This place also has an outdoor hot spring pool, which is divided into zones within the pool itself, allowing you to soak in pure hot spring water. The warm water helps to relax your body.

Afternoon Treetop Adventure

In the afternoon, embark on an exhilarating adventure at the Treetop Adventure Park, featuring over 40 challenging and thrilling obstacles. Experience the thrill of ziplining and climbing through the treetops with state-of-the-art safety equipment and expert supervision.

Before embarking on your adventure, trained staff will provide a comprehensive safety demonstration, ensuring your well-being throughout the course. Each obstacle presents a unique challenge, from aerial cycling and sky-high skateboarding to Tarzan swings, rope climbs, and exhilarating ziplines. Prepare for an adrenaline-pumping experience that will leave you screaming with excitement.

This unforgettable activity is a must-do for anyone staying at the resort. Don't miss the opportunity to conquer your fears and create lasting memories amidst the lush forest canopy.

This place also has another special feature: it is a historical site that tells the story of the construction of the Death Railway during World War II. There are pictures and paintings of prisoners of war from that time, which convey the brutality of the war. There are also replicas of various locations from that period. On the way back, the staff took us to the Kanyaw Noi Waterfall, which is located near the accommodation. However, the waterfall was a bit low... I must say that staying here is very worthwhile... You can relax, enjoy fun and challenging activities, and learn about history. It's a vacation that's anything but boring! ^_^

Trip home is over... feeling refreshed and rejuvenated (except for the exhaustion from ziplining, haha). We'll be back to relax again soon, but first, gotta go make some money...^_^
