I used to enjoy riding in groups, but I found it restrictive in many ways. So, for the past three years, I've been riding solo during the late year, just one person and one motorcycle. It's been a challenging journey with many tough roads and curves. I take pictures along the way, becoming one with the bike. Even though it's 20 years old, it has its quirks, but we always make it back together. For the past 10 years, I've been riding my 1997 Kawasaki ZZR1100, affectionately known as "น้องตอง." Join me on my adventures! Here are some photos from last year: [link to Pantip topic]

This year's route is Chumphon, Tak, Mae Sot, Mae Sariang, Mae Hong Son, Pai, Chiang Mai, Phitsanulok, Khao Kho, Phu Thap Boek, and then back to Chumphon. If you have any questions about the route or want to chat, there are many more pictures on my Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/kaipcs.

I left Chumphon in the late morning of December 25, 2016. My destination was Mae Sot, Tak Province. However, I thought I might stop along the way in Kamphaeng Phet. In the end, I ended up going all the way to Mae Sot. It was dark and the roads were rough, especially on the Tak-Mae Sot section. But I made it safely.

Stayed overnight in Mae Sot, managed to capture a few photos before continuing the journey.

After spending a night at a friend's house in Mae Sot and visiting a temple, I set off on my planned journey to Pai on the morning of the 27th. The route I took was Mae Sot - Tha Song Yang - Mae Sariang - Mae Hong Son - Pai. Along the way, the scenery was breathtaking, with a mix of beautiful roads, construction zones, and exciting curves that tempted me to stop and take pictures.

There is so much to photograph, from the beautiful fog to the scenic roads.

And then we arrived in Mae Hong Son at two in the afternoon. We rushed to take pictures at Wat Phra That Doi Kong Mu for good luck.

After descending from the Phra That, we stopped by Wat Kam Ko below to take a few more pictures.

Rushing towards Pai, fearing the approaching darkness, we navigated the exhilarating curves. Before reaching Pai, we stopped briefly at Doi Giw Lom in Pang Ma Pha to catch the last rays of sunlight.

We arrived in Pai at dusk and struggled to find accommodation, as most places were fully booked. We eventually found a small hut by the Pai River, which we loved. It was close to the water and had a great atmosphere. We could walk across the wooden bridge to the walking street.

After a cool and chilly night's stay, we woke up to a beautiful morning and took a walk to capture the scenery in front of our accommodation by the Pai River. The weather was fantastic.

My car is fully loaded with luggage, including 3 bags and 1 bag of clothes. Note: I also brought a drone to capture some aerial footage.

From a different angle, another set.

Hundreds of photos were taken by Jing before leaving Pai in the early morning. Here are a few of them.

Before leaving Pai, there is one more historical landmark you should visit: the Pai Historical Bridge.

We then traveled to Chiang Mai. The car had a minor clutch issue, so we were unable to visit Doi Inthanon. We were also unable to find accommodation or a repair shop, so we decided to drive to Phitsanulok to have the car checked by a friend's shop instead.

From Chiang Mai to Phitsanulok, I shot the entire journey using only my mobile phone, leaving my bulky camera behind. After checking the vehicle, I had the clutch completely replaced. Noticing that the tires were worn down to the wire, I took the opportunity to replace them as well. My accommodation was at a friend's house near the Khao Laem National Park in Wang Thong. The sunset was so breathtaking that I had to stop and capture it.

If you are interested in my travels, I will take you to visit many more places tomorrow. I will update you later.

Stay tuned for more updates. I will continue to post about the scenic routes of Phu Thap Boek and Khao Kho, along with other captivating landscapes. Check back tonight for more content.

Continuing our journey, after leaving Wang Thong, our next destination was Khao Kho. Along the way, we captured stunning scenery.

Before reaching Khao Kho, I came across a beautiful restaurant. It wasn't there last year, so I decided to stop by this year. I usually take Route 12.

Another round at the pub.

A photo stop is a must here.

Although the original plan was to stop by Khao Kho, there is still some time left. It would be better to go and enjoy the beautiful curves of the road to Phu Thap Boek and take some photos there first.

A scenic stop with beautiful curves just past Phra That Pha Sorn Kaew temple, offering stunning views.

And then I went up the mountain, feeling high and happy. I passed through Pai, which is a sweet place. I'll post a video later.

Enjoy the atmosphere on Phu Thap Boek.

Capture aerial footage from a secluded location using a drone.

Here's another set of photos before heading down to Khao Kho.

Got the accommodation. TOT's tent. The atmosphere is worth millions.

The atmosphere is fantastic.

A break is almost here!

Khao Kho's Night

It's a pity there was no fog today. The morning air was still fresh and invigorating.

Stroll down to the scenic viewpoint below.

Let's continue, relax and enjoy. They say there are beautiful coffee shops.

Stop by to take a picture at the windmill for a bit.

Found a coffee shop behind the Phra That Pha Sorn Kaew temple. The atmosphere is very peaceful.

The journey continued at a leisurely pace, with a focus on video recording. The plan was to take a break halfway to Bangkok, or simply until they felt tired. However, Thaworn surprisingly rode with great enthusiasm, reaching Chumphon in one go. Starting from Khao Kho at 9:00 AM, they arrived in Chumphon at 9:00 PM. They stopped to witness the last sunset of 2016 near Phetchaburi, capturing the final golden orb of the year.

My journey is now in its third year with my trusty old car, "น้องตอง". We've been through a lot together, from cruising at 200 km/h to enduring rough roads. It's a car that meets all my needs, with a simple system that I can easily maintain. We've always reached our destinations safely on every trip. In the 10 years I've owned it, I've driven it for over 100,000 km. Hopefully, next year we'll have another big trip like this. Thanks for following my adventures with "น้องตอง".
