When I can't think of anything else, I think of him. :)

Yearning for a breath of fresh air and the tranquility of nature, I embarked on a journey to Khao Kho and Phu Thap Boek. The allure of cool mountain air and verdant landscapes beckoned me, promising a respite from the hustle and bustle of daily life. To fully embrace the slow pace of life, I brought along my film camera, capturing the essence of the moment with each click. While I cannot recall the specifics of expenses or attractions, I can assure you that the memories created were priceless. Every trip is an investment in happiness, and for someone like me, who works tirelessly to make ends meet, the joy of exploration is worth every penny. This particular adventure was dedicated to the art of slow living, and my trusty Olympus 35 DC, loaded with a single roll of Kodak Color Plus 200 film, served as my faithful companion. Join me as I delve into the depths of tranquility and embrace the beauty of a slower pace.

We stopped at every landmark in "Phetchabun", but we didn't get any pictures. The first picture we got was on the side of the road with the uncle's "e-taek" car. The weather on the day we went was perfect, with a gentle sun. This picture wasn't intentional, but the driver stopped the car to talk on the phone, so we got it. Hehe.

After a long and winding drive through the wilderness, we finally emerged at our destination. Our first stop was Phu Thap Boek, before descending to Khao Kho. Along the way, we encountered a vibrant market bustling with local vendors selling an array of fresh produce, some of which were unfamiliar sights even in the bustling city of Bangkok. The vibrant colors and unique shapes of these vegetables were a feast for the eyes. Continuing our journey, we stumbled upon a scenic viewpoint offering breathtaking vistas.

Look over there! See the fog? It was probably around noon then, and there was still fog. Oh, it was so good, the air was so good.

"Would you like some vegetables? Fresh, sweet, and juicy vegetables. Look at the camera, please. Oh, no! Don't be shy. Maybe you're in a hurry or forgot, right?"

We have finally arrived at Phu Thap Boek! The road up was a bit rough, but we were excited to see the cabbage fields. Unfortunately, when we arrived, all the cabbages had already been harvested and sold. We were a little disappointed, but it was still nice to see the green fields and mountains. Our accommodation is next to a restaurant and costs around 500 baht per night. It's located on a hill (I apologize, I can't remember the name).

Strolling for a while, I came across this little guy. I remember the weather was chilly, and we had to wear jackets, but this little kid didn't seem to be afraid of the cold at all. He got out of the jacuzzi in front of the house and smiled at us. What a smart kid! :D

This is another angle of Phu Thap Boek, where you can see the accommodations clustered together. That's where we're staying, see? Uh, where is it? I still can't find it. ><

It was dinner time, so we went for a walk in the market on Tab Berk. There was a market near the lighthouse. We walked and found baby carrots and my favorite vegetable, snow peas. We walked over to buy them and asked to take a picture of the grandmother. The grandmother was knitting a hat. "May I borrow it for a moment, grandma?" Click... :)

We had dinner at a highly recommended restaurant, where we enjoyed the signature dish, stir-fried kale with fish sauce, and another favorite, stir-fried sword beans. The latter was so delicious that it could have been the only dish we ordered.

Good morning :))))) I woke up early, but!! Where did the sun go? I only see fog. This is a view from a coffee shop on Phu Thap Boek. It's a small shop opposite the house of that little kid. The view is great. Sipping coffee with natural air conditioning. Oh, it's so cool.

Let's go wash our faces and brush our teeth. Then we'll continue our journey. Today, we'll be staying at Khao Kho, but on the way down, we'll enjoy the scenery and the fresh air.

N: Hey, turn around for a second. Crack...click.

P: I really want to see the picture now.

EN: Okay, I'll take it slow on this trip. Let's wait and see when we wash it, hehe.

And here is the picture that came out. Wow... I love it so much! The scenery is beautiful, the people are beautiful, and the mood is perfect.

May I have your permission, please? I love you. <3

This is another photo that I really, really like. I don't know why, but maybe it's because it's not perfect and has traces that make me think. This photo looks lonely, or maybe I was really lonely at that time, so the photo came out like this.

At Pino Latte in Khao Kho, we went on a Saturday when it was extremely crowded. The tables were full, and the weather was quite hot. We only managed to stay for a short while as we couldn't handle the crowds. We only managed to take one photo, but it captured the atmosphere perfectly, with both the people and the view. Wow!

Another must-visit destination in Khao Kho is the Phasornkaew Temple, where you can pay respects to the sacred relics and seek blessings. The serene atmosphere and stunning views create a truly unforgettable experience.

Exhausted from the uphill climb, the friends decided to take a break and enjoy some grilled eggs at a nearby shop. The delicious aroma of the eggs, coupled with their hunger, made the meal particularly satisfying.

Our next destination is a pine forest view in room number 8 at Phra Tamnak Khao Kho. The atmosphere is incredibly lonely, with almost no sunlight.

Greetings from Khao Kho! We've finally arrived at our accommodation, which is conveniently located near the Khao Kho post office. We decided to rent a Segway for a bit of fun before heading to the local market to purchase some delicious "moo kratha" (Thai BBQ) for dinner. The market offers a unique experience, allowing customers to purchase meat by weight, ensuring everyone gets the perfect amount. With five of us in our group, we opted for a generous 1 kilogram of assorted meats to satisfy our appetites.

This is our accommodation. We apologize that we didn't take any photos of the interior. Our accommodation is a two-story house with complete kitchen appliances. There are about 3 bedrooms, a surrounding area for us to run around, and a balcony to watch the sunrise. We only have this photo from the Khao Kho accommodation.

The joy has passed quickly, it's already the third day. I don't want to go back yet, I still want to travel. Before returning, let's stop by another tourist spot. This is the new wind turbine field in Khao Kho. The wind turbines are huge and appear alternately in the distance, making for a beautiful view.

As I gazed upon the colossal wind turbines, I stumbled upon an adorable mother-child duo. The mother, seemingly aware of my covert observation, offered a subtle smile. The people here are incredibly friendly, and the children are delightful. They kindly recommended local attractions and even gifted us with fresh vegetables.

On the way back, my friends were still asleep. They slept on the way there and on the way back. Did they gain anything from the trip?

This trip was incredibly enjoyable, filled with new experiences and breathtaking locations. We embraced the slow pace of life, as promised, and were rewarded with breathtaking views of mist-covered mountains and stunning sunrises. Armed with our film camera, we captured every moment, embracing the uncertainty of each shot. The anticipation of seeing the developed photos adds to the excitement, as each image reveals its unique beauty. While the process may be intricate, the results are truly heartwarming. Film photography teaches us patience and appreciation for the beauty that unfolds before our eyes. Despite the challenges, we remain committed to capturing these precious moments, one frame at a time.

Film cameras teach us to wait, to wait for something beautiful.
