Hello everyone, let me introduce myself. My name is Mimi.

I am currently a fourth-year student in the second semester, majoring in Tourism and Hotel Management at a university near Asoke. I am currently doing an internship on Koh Chang, Trat Province. I have been here for a month and a half, and I personally think that Koh Chang is a relatively large island.

It has everything you could want in a vacation destination: waterfalls, beaches, diving, and delicious food. I must whisper that the prices here at 7-Eleven vary from branch to branch. My friends and I prefer Dok Bua Lek because it's cheaper and has more promotions (why make the clue so difficult? I'm confused myself). We've visited almost everything, and the staff here have started calling us "locals" because we've been here more than they have.

Today, I'm going to recommend some of the best places to visit and eat that my friends and I have handpicked. Where will they be? Are they the places you've been thinking of? Let's find out!

Check-in Point 1: White Sand Beach

- Koh Chang is a large island divided into two zones: the west and the east.

- The west coast boasts popular beaches like White Sand Beach, Chai Chet Beach, Klong Prao Beach, Kai Bae Beach, Lonely Beach, and Bang Bao. This side offers numerous hotels, activities like kayaking, swimming, and nightlife.

- A must-do activity on the west coast is watching the sunset. After experiencing sunsets on various beaches, we proudly recommend White Sand Beach for the most breathtaking views.

The beach area boasts numerous restaurants and offers ample seating for enjoying the scenery and sunbathing.


The beach volleyball court is also popular with foreigners. We can ask them to play with us. The foreigners here are very attractive and fun.




We adore the sunsets on this beach. No matter how many times we witness it, it never gets old. Even though the sun sets in the same place every day, each sunset is unique.



In the late afternoon, head to the white sand beach. You won't regret it.


Check-in Point 2: Khlong-Phlu Waterfall

Located on the west side, between Chaiyachet Beach and Klong Prao Beach, Khlong-Phlu Waterfall is a top destination for tourists. The waterfall is situated within a national park, so there is an entrance fee.

Entrance Fees:

Thai citizens: Adults 40 baht, Children 20 baht

Foreigners: Adults 200 baht, Children 100 baht

Motorcycle parking: 10 baht per bike

Tip: Your entrance ticket also grants you access to Than Mayom Waterfall on the same day, as both waterfalls are part of the same national park. If you plan to visit both waterfalls, it's best to do so on the same day to make the most of your ticket.



The entrance to the waterfall is a two or three kilometer walk, but it is an easy walk, so don't worry. Although many websites say that Khlong Plu Waterfall has water all year round, locals say that during the hot season, there is very little water and it is not worth visiting. Before buying a ticket, please check with the staff to avoid disappointment.


The water level was high during our visit due to recent rainfall. The atmosphere was pleasant, with designated jumping points and constant supervision by lifeguards. Life jackets were available for borrowing. Visitors were encouraged to choose their preferred jumping point and test their courage.




The fish here are plentiful, large, and black with slime. We like to let the fish nibble on our legs, but every time they do, we get a strong jolt.


Check-in point 3: Kaibae Viewpoint

- This point offers a view of the sea on Koh Chang. It is another point not to be missed.


We went in the morning when the weather was nice, cool and not too hot.


The most exciting part of our trip was seeing the northern lights on Koh Chang. Just kidding! It was actually the fishing boat lights that we accidentally captured in our photos. Sorry about that.

Stargazing at night in this area is amazing. We've been here several times, and while it's not completely dark due to the fishing boat lights, it's not as desolate as other pitch-black locations we've visited. So, this spot is safe and offers a great view of the stars. It's hard to describe, so you'll just have to see it for yourself.


Check-in point 4: Ban Na Nai Mangrove Forest & Salak Phet Pier

- Located on the east side of the island, this is our favorite spot. It's peaceful, relaxing, and not crowded. We highly recommend visiting the Ban Na Nai Mangrove Forest, which is also a popular cycling route. There's a small community nearby, and the entrance to the mangrove forest is marked by a small sign near the temple.




Be careful when walking in, as the bridge is old and damaged in many places. If you don't watch your step, you might fall. This place is beautiful, so beautiful that I only took one picture because I was so engrossed in the atmosphere that I forgot to take more. I already want to go back. Not far from the mangrove forest, we would like to recommend Salak Phet Pier.



This tranquil harbor serves as a launching point for snorkeling excursions.



You can drive onto the bridge. It's a long way to walk, so I recommend driving.

This roti comes from Abang's shop, who rides and sells in the Salak Phet area. Ask anyone, everyone knows. There is only one shop. It is a very delicious roti. Eating at other shops on the island is not as good as Abang's shop here. If it weren't so far from the training area, I would ride to get roti. The first time, it was so memorable that it still is. Not only is it delicious, but it is also cheap. Good things must be shared.


Check-in point 5: Kung Kra Ta Kaibae

- And this is the place we want to review the most on Koh Chang. From trying various buffet restaurants, we would like to give the crown to this restaurant. Speaking of which, I want to eat it. What's so good about a good restaurant? We will describe it for you. Let's get serious!!

It is an inexpensive restaurant at 199 baht per person. When we eat, including water, it is 250+ depending on the day. There are many staff members who provide good service.



A wide variety of seafood, including sea prawns, river prawns, whole fish, squid, vegetables, and eggs.


The fried food is delicious, with a variety of dipping sauces to choose from, including spicy, medium spicy, and mild spicy. The seafood sauce is particularly flavorful. There are also many different flavors of ice cream available.

I can't describe everything, I'm too hungry! Believe me, my friends and I, and our colleagues, all agree that this restaurant is one of the best! Go try it for yourself.



Our exploration of Koh Chang has come to an end. As the hot season approaches, it's the perfect time to escape to an island paradise.
