PART II

Dalat; Dalat > Mui Ne

The journey from Dalat to Mui Ne took approximately 4-5 hours.

The winding and hilly roads made for a slow journey.

We departed from our accommodation at around 1:30 PM.

After picking up our fellow travelers, we were on our way by 2:00 PM.

The driver estimated our arrival time to be around 6:00 PM.

We took a long nap during the journey.

Halfway through the trip, we stopped at a small roadside restaurant with restrooms.

Feeling hungry, we decided to eat.

We were charged 50,000 VND per dish.

The price was exorbitant for the portion size (extremely expensive). The chicken was tough and overpriced. We could have bought a whole chicken at home for the same price.

However, our hunger got the better of us.

As we approach our destination, the scenery unfolds before us.

We have been monitoring our progress on the map, and it seems that our estimated arrival time in Mui Ne is accurate.

Our thoughts now turn to our accommodation and the prospect of a satisfying dinner.

We arrived at our accommodation a little after 6 pm.

The bus will drop us off at the bus terminal, and we can either arrange for a transfer or take a taxi.

Please note that there will be an additional charge if we opt for a transfer.

Today we are staying at the Muine Sport Hotel.

For dinner tonight, we will be having lobster.

The dipping sauce here is like this, and then squeeze some lemon in.

At Bờ Kè Mũi Né.

But from what I read in the reviews, I saw that some people found lobster for 450 baht per kilogram.

But we don't know which shop.

So we got this shop because it seemed to have a lot of people.

It's about a thousand baht per kilogram.

I have to say that there are a lot of strange menus here.

But we asked for the normal menu.

Choose fresh ingredients and then wait for them to cook it for you.

We can choose what kind of menu we want them to make.

All of this is about 2 million dong for 6 people, which is very filling.

MUINE ; MUINE >HOCHIMIN

Hellooooooooooo

Mui Ne, the city of the desert.

Which everyone says is beautiful and wants to visit at least once.

Today we will tour Mui Ne, which is a tour that we dealt with the accommodation yesterday.

The main places we went to were:

White San Dune

Red san Dune

Fairy stream

Fisherman Village

The tour offers two options: sunrise and sunset. (The price is 7 USD/person, but we inquired with the accommodation in advance before check-in and they were able to offer 33 USD/6 people.) The accommodation almost charged us the full price, so we showed them the message we had discussed and they agreed to the lower price. At 4:30 am, a Jeep arrived to pick us up in front of our accommodation. We were a private group of 7 people, including the driver. We chose the morning tour to see the sunrise, so that we could return to Ho Chi Minh City in the afternoon.

White Sand Dune is approximately 30-45 minutes away from our accommodation.

Today, the sun will rise around 6:30 AM.

Upon arrival, our rented Jeep will not be able to enter the desert area.

Access is available by walking, renting a Jeep, or riding an ATV.

(Price-wise, I suggest negotiating beforehand, depending on your bargaining skills.

Or, if you're comfortable with the quoted price, go for it.)

We have time here until around 9 AM.

We opted not to visit the Red Sand Dune because it was already crowded, so we decided to skip it.

Fisherman Village is currently experiencing a large influx of people, likely due to the arrival of a new shipment of fish.

Fairy Stream: A Relaxing End to the Day

Our final stop on today's tour was Fairy Stream, where the driver generously allowed us ample time to explore.

We arrived at our accommodation around 11 am, perfectly timed. Since the noon and afternoon buses to Ho Chi Minh City were fully booked, we opted for the 2 pm departure. This gave us time to check out at noon and relax in the lobby until our 1:30 pm pick-up for the sleeper bus.

We chose the sleeper bus over the regular bus for the 4-5 hour journey, anticipating a more comfortable ride. The bus arrived in Ho Chi Minh City slightly ahead of schedule, around 7 pm instead of the estimated 7:30 pm.

Upon arrival, check in at the hostel, which is conveniently located near Ben Thanh Market. After settling in, head out to explore the market and grab a bite to eat at one of the nearby restaurants.

Stroll along until you reach Ho Chi Minh Square (Tran Nguyen Hai Statue)
