Erawan Waterfall


Erawan Waterfall is a renowned tourist destination in Kanchanaburi Province, attracting numerous Thai and international visitors daily. The waterfall's beauty is nestled amidst a natural forest, offering an accessible and effortless walk to its cascades. The crystal-clear water and natural pools provide a refreshing escape amidst the lush greenery. The site boasts ample amenities for tourists and is conveniently accessible by public transportation, situated near the city center of Kanchanaburi.

Eravan Waterfall, formerly known as "Sadorng Mong Lai Waterfall," derives its name from the headwaters of the Mong Lai stream and the Om Talat stream. Eravan Waterfall is a large waterfall with water cascading down from a high mountain peak, passing through rocky cliffs and forests covered with diverse vegetation. The water collects in pools at intervals, creating tiers of waterfalls with varying beauty. The waterfall has a total of 7 tiers, each with a rhyming name: Lai Khon Rang, Wang Matcha, Pha Namtok, Ok Nang Phee Sa, Bua Mai Long, Dong Phrueksa, and Phu Pha Eravan.

Eravan National Park entrance fee

- Thai adults 100 baht
- Vehicles are also subject to a fee: bicycles 10 baht each, motorcycles 20 baht, and 4-wheel cars 50 baht.
- The cost of riding a golf cart is 30 baht per person.


Recommendations:
- Do not bring foam containers, glass bottles, or alcoholic beverages into the waterfall area.
- Do not bring guitars into the waterfall area.
- Do not bring any pets into the waterfall.
- The path to the waterfall is paved in some sections, making it easy to walk. However, the path to each waterfall level is a natural trail with dirt and rocks. Therefore, it is recommended to wear appropriate footwear that is comfortable and non-slip.
- Climbing to the higher levels of the waterfall is not suitable for the elderly or those with leg or knee problems, as some sections of the path are quite steep.
