This trip was nothing special, just taking my parents to change their mattress and find some delicious food. "Just getting out of the house in the car is fun," my mom said. So what are we waiting for? Let's go!

Seangchan Beach (Had Seangchan) is located in Mueang District, Rayong Province. It is a short drive of approximately 3 hours from Bangkok. This tranquil beach is ideal for relaxation.

Due to the strong waves, Saeng Jan Beach has constructed a series of rock structures known as "riprap" along the coastline to prevent erosion. These T-shaped rocks effectively break the waves, creating a unique crescent-shaped beach that extends to the end of the road, offering a stunning and unusual seascape unlike any other.

Coincidentally, the day we arrived happened to be the same day as the Qingming Festival, which resulted in heavy traffic. We arrived in Rayong at 2:30 PM, and the three of us, father, mother, and child, were starving. So we drove straight to a restaurant before checking into our accommodation. We had lunch at Leam Charoen Seafood, a famous restaurant in Rayong province.

The restaurant is situated amidst fishing boats and a harbor. The weather today is pleasant and not too hot.

Our order included crab stir-fried in curry powder, conveniently pre-shelled for effortless enjoyment.

Sun-dried squid, stir-fried clams with chili paste, oyster omelet, and mixed spicy soup. Three people ate until they were very full. Everything we ordered was delicious, and the spicy soup was especially flavorful and satisfying for my parents.

After our bellies were full, we took a stroll along the beach opposite the restaurant. The beach stretched out before us, a long expanse of sand uninterrupted by rocks.

They hesitated whether to follow their child, as the sunlight was hot.

At the end of the beach stands a lighthouse.

While my mother remained under the shade of the trees, my father followed us, becoming our model for a photograph.

We then headed to our accommodation.

We stayed at Haad Saeng Chan Resort, which is a bungalow with two bedrooms, one bathroom, and a living room area in the middle. It has a refrigerator, TV, sink, dining table, and sofa. It was a very comfortable place to stay, and my parents loved it very much.

Haad Saeng Chan Beach features a road that runs along the entire length of the coastline. However, swimming is only permitted near the shore between the rock formations due to strong currents further out. Visitors can enjoy leisurely walks along the beach, admiring the scenic rock formations, or take a scenic drive along the coast for a relaxing experience.

As the evening descends, the atmosphere becomes even more delightful. Street vendors, including food carts, set up shop, offering a vibrant array of culinary delights such as papaya salad, grilled chicken, and fried snacks. For a more substantial meal, seafood restaurants with Japanese-style table seating provide an opportunity to savor fresh seafood while enjoying the sunset, the ocean view, and the playful antics of children in the water.

The restaurant offers a variety of seafood dishes, including seafood hotpot, Isaan food, grilled fish, and grilled squid. Customers can bring their own mats and order food from the restaurant. The prices are reasonable.

My mother and I walked out to watch the sunset together, bringing some snacks for my father, as he refused to come out.

"Why are you watching the sunset? It sets every day," the father said. I could only roll my eyes in response.

The father is not interested in the sunset, so he prefers to stay at home and enjoy the cool air conditioning.

The mother and child duo wished to capture the beauty of the sunset in a photograph.

"Mom, take a picture of me." I set up the camera for my mom, teaching her how to focus and press the button easily. Then, we spun around and around, letting my mom take pictures continuously.

"Why are you taking so many pictures?" my mother grumbled, like most adults who don't understand why I need to take multiple photos from the same angle.

The focus was on capturing a large number of images, resulting in a significant amount of blur due to low light conditions. Consequently, only two usable images were obtained.

Let's take a look at some pictures of my mother.

The atmosphere is lively. In the evening, children play in the water, and young couples stroll along the beach.

The atmosphere is very good. It is peaceful and shady. My mother likes it very much. The beach here is not very clean. There is a lot of garbage, both floating in the water and left on the shore.

The morning air at Haad Saeng Chan beach. After we had been persuading Dad all night to go outside, he finally agreed to come out and see the sea with us this morning. Before we went to have breakfast at the hotel.

Our model is the most handsome.

The short trip, with its focus on relaxation and delicious meals at renowned restaurants in Rayong, flew by in just two days and one night.

"He should have come for 3 days," the father complained.

"I turned to my father and said, 'You've only been here for two days and you haven't gone anywhere. I've invited you to visit the temple, the mangrove forest, and other beaches, or to do other activities, but you haven't gone. So what are you going to do for the next three days?'"

"Moving to a new place and enjoying delicious food together as a family is enough," she replied.

"Alright, I give in! Next time, I'll take you on a 3-day trip, just as you wished."
