Embark on a hassle-free road trip adventure tailored for young women. This itinerary, including accommodation, is available for purchase on www.traveligo.com, which offers a diverse range of travel packages designed specifically for women. These itineraries are part of the "Women Travel Thailand 2017" project.
This trip we're inviting you on is only about two hours from Bangkok. You can drive there while listening to your favorite music and arrive in no time. It's much better than being stuck in traffic in the hot Bangkok weather. Our destination is Nakhon Ratchasima Province, or "Khao Yai".
Our first stop is a must-visit for anyone driving through Khao Yai on Highway 1: Khao Yai Panorama Farm. This health-conscious mushroom farm offers visitors a unique opportunity to learn about the entire process of growing mushrooms, from the very beginning to the moment they reach our plates. Guests can even pick their own mushrooms from the farm's cultivation houses and enjoy a relaxing soak in the onsen's marble hot spring pools.
After picking mushrooms, we enjoyed a delicious lunch made with various mushroom dishes, both savory and sweet. This healthy meal provided us with the energy to continue our exploration!
After enjoying a delicious meal and purchasing souvenirs from the mushroom farm, we continued our journey to the only church in Khao Yai, also known as the Blessed Nicholas BunkerdKitbamrung Church Khaoyai. The church offers a tranquil atmosphere and picturesque corners perfect for capturing stunning photographs.
After a long day of exploring, it was time to check in to our accommodation. We opted for the Dusit D2 Khao Yai, a peaceful and private haven. The hotel's amenities and aesthetics are top-notch, offering picturesque backdrops for endless photo opportunities.
The lobby is impressive, and just a short walk away is an outdoor swimming pool with stunning mountain views. In the evenings, you can enjoy a swim as the sun sets.
As the sun sets, the pool lights gradually illuminate the water, creating a stunning ambiance. The pool is open from 7 am to 7 pm, which may seem early, but don't worry, your room offers equally enjoyable alternatives. Let's head inside and explore.
Upon entering the room, one cannot help but exclaim in awe. The private bathroom boasts a luxurious bathtub, perfect for a relaxing soak. As the water fills the tub, turn on the television and enjoy a refreshing beverage for the ultimate indulgence.
This accommodation offers a unique perk for dog lovers: the ability to bring small dogs with them. The hotel even provides dog beds, ensuring a comfortable stay for both guests and their furry companions.
For those who are worried that staying at the hotel will be quiet and lonely, let me tell you that you are wrong. Dusit D2 offers a variety of activities for outdoor enthusiasts, such as rock climbing and cycling around the hotel with stunning views of Khao Yai. You can also visit the alpaca farm and take photos with the three alpacas up close. And most importantly, there is a swimming pool where you can relax or just chill out by the pool.
The culinary experience at Dusit Hotels is renowned for its exceptional flavors. Each dish presented is a visual and gustatory delight, tempting diners to savor every bite before capturing its essence through photography. Highlights include the spicy and flavorful Tom Sup Gai (chicken wing soup), the aromatic Pad Cha Talay (seafood stir-fry), the refreshing Yam Makua Yao (eggplant salad), the tangy Som Tam (papaya salad), and a delectable array of desserts.
If you wish to greet the alpacas, you can inform the staff, who will provide a golf cart to transport you to their enclosure. Alternatively, you can stroll through the area and take in the scenery. The alpacas' enclosure is located within the hotel grounds.

Our final stop before concluding our trip was Suwan Farm, where we indulged in refreshing glasses of freshly squeezed corn juice. As we bid farewell to the countryside and prepared to return to the hustle and bustle of city life, we couldn't help but feel rejuvenated and ready to tackle the challenges ahead. For those who are hesitant or apprehensive about traveling solo as a woman, let me assure you that it is not only possible but also incredibly rewarding. With careful planning and a positive attitude, you can embark on safe, enjoyable, and enriching adventures that will leave you feeling empowered and invigorated.
