Greetings and welcome back!
It feels like the rainy season has arrived earlier than usual this year. Today, the "FreeLance Travel Addict" page has a super chill resort that is perfect for this rainy season. Just in case anyone has plans to travel around Khao Yai and Wang Nam Khieo.

"Wela Wian Resort" in Wang Nam Khieo District

Many friends may have heard of it. It is another accommodation that we have been eyeing for a long time. But we haven't had the chance to come here. But finally, last week, we came here. Haha.

Before you go see the atmosphere, please follow our travel page.

Wang Nam Khiao, a location with world-renowned excellent ozone levels, was the first choice for our first rainy season trip. We opted to stay at the renowned "Wela Wian" resort, which is only a three-hour drive from Bangkok.

Follow the Khao Yai-Wang Nam Khieo route, a road with beautiful views on both sides. After passing Toscana for about 40 kilometers, you will reach the resort. The resort is located on a hill surrounded by nature and various trees. No matter where you look, it is pleasing to the eye. We especially like the rain, as it allows us to sleep in a blanket and listen to the sound of raindrops. How cool is that? Haha, there are many types of accommodation to choose from. The most popular room type is the Pool Villa, which has a private pool surrounded by nature. It is quiet and peaceful, and you can soak in the pool while enjoying nature all day long. It is perfect for a relaxing weekend getaway. However, due to its popularity, the Pool Villa is not available today. T-T

The room we stayed in was a Moment Suite, which featured a spacious open balcony where we could sit and enjoy the surrounding nature. The room's exposed concrete design, which we both appreciate, created a light and airy atmosphere. The small bathtub was an added bonus for relaxation.

The lobby is an open space that receives plenty of fresh air. It has a small coffee bar and a balcony where guests can relax and enjoy the warm morning sun.

There are many seating options available.

We arrived at the resort around noon, but luckily there was a restaurant area near the lobby, so we had a light steak to fill our stomachs.

After a satisfying meal, it was time to explore the surroundings of the resort. The rain continued to fall steadily, creating a perfect atmosphere. Everywhere we looked, the scenery was lush and vibrant, making it clear why we love traveling during the rainy season.

After the rain stopped, what we saw in front of us was a sea of mist. Traveling during the rainy season is the best!

Another signature feature of the resort that we would like to present is the outdoor swimming pool. From where we stand, we can see the blue water and the green grass, which is refreshing and pleasing to the eye. However, the atmosphere is still overcast and rainy, and it is raining lightly again. This makes the people who are swimming in the water even more chilled out. We can only stand and watch enviously from afar. Oh, I forgot to mention that the communal pool is open 24 hours a day.

"The rain poured down for most of the day, leaving me with nothing to do but wait for it to stop."

In contrast to our light lunch, our dinner was a hearty feast. We must have exerted a lot of energy exploring the resort, as our bodies craved a substantial meal.

After dinner, we took a walk and relaxed to let the food settle before retiring for the night. We had an appointment to go swimming in the pool the next morning.

Good morning! Fortunately, the sky is clear and the weather is beautiful. However, there is still a chance of rain later.

Khao Yai is visible in the distance.

Another corner of the lobby. Sit and relax in the gentle morning sun to warm your body up a bit, as it was very cold last night.

Let's head to the dining area for a light bite before we hit the pool. Enjoying a meal with a view, how delightful!

And the moment we've all been waiting for has finally arrived! We're ready to take a dip in our private pool. You must be wondering, "Wait, I thought the rooms were full, so how did we get this moment?"

This credit goes to the resort for arranging this room for us to experience after the previous guests checked out. We waited for the housekeeper to clean it, and then we continued to explore the room. Haha!

The Pool Zone consists of four individual houses, each offering a unique view. We had the opportunity to experience two of these houses. The interior design is minimalist and immediately captivating, resembling a dream bedroom. The highlight is the large window that provides a 180-degree view of lush greenery. The color scheme is soothing and calming.

The outdoor area features a small pool with a built-in jacuzzi system that can be turned on or off. When we got in, the water was incredibly cold, and we shivered uncontrollability. However, after soaking for a while, we started to feel accustomed to the temperature. What truly caught our eye were the lush green trees surrounding the pool, instantly reminding us of the resort's slogan, "Timeless Moment."

Right now, I feel like I want to freeze time here. I don't want to go back to Bangkok. Haha.

The second pool room is decorated similarly to the first, but with a white color scheme. The pool view is different from the first room, but equally beautiful. We couldn't resist taking another dip in the crystal-clear water.

After soaking in the water and enjoying nature for a while, it was time for us to head back. "The fun is over..." But it was definitely worth it to come and relax here for just one day, even though it rained all day long. But... let's stop and take a picture at this spot first. It's another angle that I'd like to present. The peanut flowers are blooming to welcome the rain. It's another spot that many couples choose to come and take pre-wedding photos.
