"Sala Kaew Ku" (Wat Khaek) is a religious site that displays the largest collection of giant outdoor stucco sculptures in Thailand. The creator envisioned this place as an immortal city of Kaew Ku Nirvana, or a land of liberation from all worldly desires. Sala Kaew Ku covers an area of 42 rai and is located in the Samakkhi community, Mueang district, Nong Khai province, just 3 kilometers from the city center.

Marvel at the grandeur of the temple sculptures, born from the deep faith and belief in sin, merit, virtue, and retribution in the teachings of various religions. These sculptures form an open-air museum of stucco sculptures unlike any other in Thailand. The word "ghoo" in "Sala Kaew Ghoo" means "kuti" (monastery dwelling), "awas" (monastery grounds), or "sala" (pavilion). Therefore, "Sala Kaew Ghoo" is a compound word meaning "Sala Kaew" (Crystal Pavilion).

The Glass Palace is open to the public for viewing the outdoor plaster sculpture garden from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM. However, tourists are only allowed to visit and pay respects to the remains of "Father Boonlue Surirat" on the 3rd floor of the Glass Palace from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. There is an entrance fee for the Glass Palace: 20 baht for adults and 10 baht for children.
