If you have a free day and are tired of shopping malls, and want to experience something natural, we recommend going for a bike ride, breathing fresh air, and finding something to eat. There are many cool places to take photos. Go here: Bang Kachao.

Khung Bang Kachao is often referred to as the "lungs of Bangkok" due to its abundance of trees and pristine natural environment. Its proximity to the city makes it an ideal destination for a day trip.

To reach Bang Nam Phueng Floating Market, simply cross the Rama IX Bridge towards Samut Prakan. For convenience, use Google Maps for navigation. Ample parking is available at the market.

The first activity is to recharge our energy.

Bang Nam Phueng Floating Market offers a wide variety of food options, from sit-down restaurants to grab-and-go stalls. The market caters to diverse culinary preferences, offering a vast selection of dishes to satisfy any craving. The market's atmosphere is pleasant, with a spacious walkway covered by a roof to provide shelter from the sun and rain.

Bang Nam Phueng Floating Market is open every Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Today's goal is not just to walk around the market and buy things, so we decided to find a restaurant to eat at and then rent bicycles.

Bicycle rentals are available near Wat Bang Nam Phueng Nai. Several shops offer rentals for 50 baht per day. The friendly owner provides route suggestions and a paper map, explaining each intersection in detail. As a first-time visitor, I couldn't remember all the directions, so I relied on Google Maps and occasional inquiries to locals.

The first destination is the Thai Fighting Fish Museum.

The air is thick and humid today, as if rain is about to fall at any moment. However, it hasn't started yet. There is no wind, but at least there is no sun.

We each bought a cup of fresh coffee from the shop in front, and then went inside to look at the fighting fish.

Each jar contains fish with clearly labeled species. Some breeds I had never seen before, all with stunning tails.

There is also a betta fish pond outside, but it might be difficult to find it.

This is a fish tank.

We enjoyed watching each group of fish as they swam by.

For sick fish, there is a treatment method: add Indian almond leaves as medicine.

The sheer number of dog breeds is overwhelming. I can't remember them all. I'll just take a picture.

The outdoor fish display area is a lush garden with ponds, providing a serene and shaded environment.

Next stop, we cycled to Sri Nakhon Khuan Khan Public Park and Botanical Garden.

This garden is a highlight of cycling in Bang Krachao.

Sri Nakhon Khuan Khan Public Park spans over 200 rai and serves as a recreational area for relaxation, exercise, and fresh air. It also provides an opportunity to study the ecosystem of various plant and animal species.

This extensive and shaded park features designated paths for cyclists to enjoy scenic stops throughout the park.

Let's go, I'll give you a tour of the garden.

The cycling path is well-defined with clear road markings. The surrounding area is shaded by lush trees.

Cycling along the path, following the signs, you will find a parking spot for those who want to stop by and walk on the Khan Khanthararak Dam Bridge. It is a long wooden bridge that allows you to enjoy the lushness of the pond. You can also feed the fish. There is a vendor selling bread at the entrance.

A long bridge stretches across the pond to the other side, perfect for a relaxing stroll.

Done, let's continue spinning.

It's very chill today. There's no sun at all.

This is a spot to observe the nipa palm forest. The nipa palms growing in the mangrove forest form a path leading into the interior.

Birdwatching Tower, where visitors do not come to watch birds. Almost everyone comes to take stylish photos from unique angles.

The place was packed, so we decided to skip the popular photo spot. Seeing the long queue, we gave up and continued cycling.

The path will circle around the pond and lead you back to the exit. You won't get lost.

We then cycled to the popular Bangkok Tree House for a coffee and a break from the heat.

This establishment functions as both a Green Hotel and an Organic Restaurant. Situated along the riverbank, it boasts a stunning ambiance. The restaurant's aesthetic is modern and stylish, offering numerous picturesque photo opportunities. Notably, the hotel and restaurant operate as separate entities.

To cool down our bodies, which were hot and tired from cycling, we stopped for a refreshing beer. (Clearly an excuse.)

A bridge extends to the edge of the river, offering a view of the Chao Phraya River. In the evening, you can watch boats passing by.

The restaurant has both air-conditioned rooms and outdoor tables. Today, the weather is very hot, so the air-conditioned rooms are always full.

After resting and feeling refreshed, it was already evening. We went to the house of incense, but it was closed. So we decided to go back and find some dinner.

After riding a bicycle, we took a songthaew to the ferry pier at Khlong Lat Pho.

The ferry can also carry motorcycles for a fare of 3 baht per person.

Enjoying the view of the Chao Phraya River at dusk.

Upon disembarking, we walked approximately 700 meters to the left to find a riverside restaurant for dinner.

Buri Tara Wine Bar & Restaurant is a relaxed dining establishment situated along the banks of the Chao Phraya River. We arrived as the sun began its descent, casting a warm glow over the surrounding landscape.

Today was a relaxing day from morning to evening.

**A Day of Relaxation:** We were able to take deep breaths of fresh air, exercise, and discover that there are still beautiful, lush natural places near Bangkok. Finding such places is becoming increasingly difficult.

Bang Krachao offers a variety of attractions, including the Bang Nam Phueng Floating Market, temples, a large public park, and numerous activities. It also boasts delicious restaurants and a relaxing atmosphere, making it an ideal spot to unwind.

Safe cycling paths, courteous cyclists, and welcoming locals. People here are happy to help tourists, offering directions with a smile throughout the day.

If you haven't been here before, I recommend finding some free time to come and visit. It's close to Bangkok. "Bang Krachao".
