Sukhothai Province, the cradle of the first Thai kingdom established 700 years ago, derives its name from the words "sukh" (happiness) and "udaya" (sunrise), signifying "the dawn of happiness." The vestiges of its glorious past are evident in the Sukhothai and Si Satchanalai Historical Parks, renowned among both Thais and international visitors.

This trip was inspired by a desire to instill in my daughter the qualities of a graceful Thai lady, as I myself lack the gentleness and refinement to serve as a positive role model. After reading reviews, I chose Legendha Sukhothai Resort, which boasts an authentic Thai atmosphere and offers a variety of traditional Thai activities. Its proximity to Sukhothai Historical Park was an added bonus.

Manaow chose a late-night bus to arrive early at Sukhothai Historical Park. The bus from Phitsanulok cost 301 baht per person and was scheduled to depart at 9:00 PM. However, the departure time was delayed to 10:00 PM. There were few passengers because it was a weekday. My child and I were able to relax comfortably.

05:45 AM. The state of Manaow's mother walking is still not very ready. She cries out for porridge.

Do not feed her now, she will become more fussy when she is full. Manao is distracting her with other things.

Let's rent a bike and go sightseeing. It's still early, so it won't be too hot. It's only 30 baht per person, from 6 am to 6 pm. It's a pity they don't offer 24-hour rentals. Manao thought about cycling to check into the hotel. Just thinking about it is cool.

The first check-in point, Saphan Hin Temple, is only a 3-kilometer bike ride away.

The Saphan Hin Temple is located outside the western wall of the old city of Sukhothai, within the Aranyavasi area.

The temple is situated on a hill approximately 200 meters high. The path leading up to the ancient site is paved with slate stones from the foot of the hill, stretching 300 meters. Notable features within the temple include the main Buddha statue, a large standing Buddha in the posture of granting forgiveness, measuring 12.50 meters in height. It is known as the Phra Attharasa.

"You can continue to Khao Luang Sukhothai if you want!" I remember my mother saying this as we rode the bus.

Just as I was struggling to reach the top, carrying my food, the young lady decided to cancel the mountain climb! She tricked me! Tsk tsk tsk.

We cycled back the way we came and turned into Wat Sri Chum, our second check-in point.

The entrance fee is only 20 baht. May I, Manao, stay here for a while, for an hour, because I would like to take photos and videos of Phra Ajahn to share with all of you, my friends.

The grandeur of Sukhothai's World Heritage Site is evident in the numerous ancient Buddhist art and architecture that remain standing. Among the renowned temples that serve as a prominent highlight of the Sukhothai World Heritage City is "Wat Si Chum".

This "Phra Atjana" is not an ordinary Buddha statue. In the past, it was a miraculous Buddha statue because it was a "talking Buddha statue".

Overwhelmed by the sheer grandeur of the Phra Achana statue, the young lady hesitated to approach, her heart filled with a mixture of awe and trepidation.

In this photo, Manao had to lie down on the ground to get the shot, and she was covered in dirt when she got up. She saw Ma Ying secretly laughing.

Check in with a photo. Manao has taken her mother to pay respects to Phra Ajahn.

A single lens to travel all over Thailand. I really want to help dig a hole for the lady to take a picture so that she can see everything.

Taking children to visit temples allows them to absorb some aspects of Thai culture.

The Chinese tour group has arrived, but their stay is unexpectedly short.

Before leaving, the lady bid farewell to her affectionate dog.

Cycling back, I encountered a herd of cows, feeling like I was on a mini safari. As a city girl, I was thrilled.

Refueled with Sukhothai noodles at the same shop as last year where Manao ate. I was so happy that the owner still remembered me.

Next, we purchased bus tickets for our return trip on the 23rd at 12:20 PM. The tickets cost 361 baht each and were for VIP buses.

Return the bicycle and cross the street to board the Khok Muu bus for 20 baht per person. Head to Legendha Sukhothai Resort.

The sentence is already in English and does not require translation.

This is the first time I've ever ridden in a "pigpen" bus. I really enjoy taking my kids to experience new things.

We arrived at Legendha Sukhothai Resort in less than 10 minutes.

There are bicycles for rent to explore the old city of Sukhothai at your own pace. However, today, Manao will not be going anywhere. Instead, we have some traditional Thai activities planned for just the two of us.

A highlight is the traditional Thai cooking corner, where you can witness live demonstrations of Thai cuisine in the evenings.

Before even entering the hotel, Manao already wanted to change into a Thai dress and take photos.

Alright, let's take a picture before we continue.

A serene and refreshing atmosphere surrounded by lush greenery.

Offering a clear view of the indoor swimming pool.

Please check in first. We apologize that Manao and Maehing smell bad because they went to get wet and ride bicycles around the old city of Sukhothai. Hehe.

The reception area boasts a beautiful Thai aesthetic.

The welcome drink, "sweet guava juice," also has a Thai touch.

Hold on, I'll use the Skin Dive technique I learned tomorrow.

The lady turned to look, a warning that her mother was coming soon!

It has a beautiful aesthetic, resembling a traditional Thai village.

We have arrived at Manao and Maehing's room. The moment we stepped in, a pleasant and clean scent filled the air, leaving us feeling refreshed and satisfied.

You are the absolute cutest! Thank you so much for taking such good care of the both of us.

"Mother, please take a picture. Please invite the young lady to the bedroom first."

The room is fully equipped with amenities, including delicious fruits. The air conditioning is also cool and comfortable.

Oh no! The lady has fainted! She will need to rest for a couple of hours to recharge.

After showering, applying makeup, and putting on powder, the lady was ready to take a walk around the Legendha Sukhothai Resort.

There are approximately 60 rooms, each with a unique design. The resort exudes a peaceful and serene atmosphere, unlike other traditional Thai accommodations that can sometimes feel eerie. The abundance of trees provides ample shade, keeping the temperature angenehm.

You seem excited about the pool, but not yet. You can play tomorrow.

This section could be a relaxing living room, perfect for reading and opening up to the garden in the back. The breeze is so refreshing.

Featuring a stylish bridge that serves as a picturesque spot for photography, as well as a relaxing haven for birdwatching and enjoying the natural surroundings.

I wonder what caught the lady's fancy, her lips are pursed.

Circling back, I found many junks under the tree. I picked one up and smelled it. It was so fragrant! It was the first time I had ever seen it. I tried to smell it like my mother, and then I cried out, "It doesn't smell good!" 55555

Legendha Sukhothai Resort offers a "Mongkol Samaros" room.

The traditional Thai ceremony was beautiful. It made me want to get married right away.

This is the "Namkhang Mu Ban Thai Restaurant", where we will have breakfast and dinner, and enjoy a traditional Thai dance performance tonight.

The lady has disappeared to play with the chili paste. Let's continue first.

Another round, let's peek at "Thai massage".

The atmosphere is very relaxing and perfect for a massage.

Let's go to the pool and grab some refreshing drinks to quench our thirst.

The swimming pool area has an abundance of relaxation spots.

It's time to head to the front of Legendha Sukhothai Resort.

The beauty of the scene inspired a desire to wear a traditional Thai dress, prompting the sending of a young lady to be adorned in a grand ensemble.

The "traditional Thai kitchen" corner is already starting to pound the curry paste for tonight's dinner.

As the chef prepared a spicy jungle curry in a hot pan over a charcoal stove, and the cook demonstrated how to cook rice using the same method, the young lady had never witnessed such a close-up view of the stove. With bated breath, she eagerly awaited her first taste of rice water and the opportunity to savor the freshly cooked curry and rice straight from the stove. However, she was instructed to learn how to make "phet phra" before indulging in the meal.

The professor's teaching was excellent. The students gained knowledge about the history of amulet printing in Sukhothai, including the opportunity to try printing amulets themselves and inscribing their names and surnames on the back of the amulets.

The amulets blessed by the female monk today must be baked in the kiln. They will be available for collection and worship tomorrow morning.

The graceful Thai dance performance, accompanied by traditional Thai music, stimulates our appetite. After a satisfying meal, we are ready to return to our rooms for a restful night's sleep. The next morning, we wake up early to participate in the "tak bat" alms-giving ceremony, another activity thoughtfully arranged by Legendha Sukhothai Resort.

Extracting the lady from her bed was no easy feat. Hotel staff prepared food for the alms offering and stood by to provide support and encouragement throughout the process.

It has been a long time since the lady has made merit by offering food to monks. Moreover, she is still sleepy as if she has not woken up yet. She also forgot to take off her shoes. I apologize to the monks for this.

After the alms offering, we walked to the back of the hotel. Just across the street, we arrived at "Wat Chang Lom".

"Wat Chang Lom" is a significant historical site featuring a central bell-shaped stupa in the Lanna style. The base of the stupa is adorned with stucco sculptures depicting half-emerged elephants. In front, there are the remains of a brick-built viharn, and the site is further enclosed by a brick wall.

The majority of the stucco elephants have eroded, leaving only a few elephant heads visible. However, these remnants still vividly demonstrate the magnificence of Sukhothai-era sculpture.

We spent hours soaking up the essence of Thai culture, until our stomachs started to rumble. We then crossed the street to find some breakfast to eat.

The tantalizing aroma of freshly baked roti canai wafted through the air, its warmth radiating from the oven. Unable to resist, the young lady reached out to take a bite, only to burn her tongue. It seems she has inherited her mother's refined taste, but not her patience.

The table was laden with an array of delectable Thai desserts, making it impossible to resist indulging in a breakfast feast.

Please provide the sentence or phrase you would like me to translate from Thai to English.

After a satisfying meal, the fun begins! Back to the room to digest, and then it's time for a swim!

The clay Buddha amulets, meticulously crafted by the young lady herself, arrived just in time. It brought great joy to participate in such a meaningful activity. But it's not just the young lady who has had this experience; I, Manao, have also never seen or made anything like this before.

The pool is calling! Time to have some fun!

Model, please focus. One more time, please.

Swimming pools often bring joy and fun to families. We took the most beautiful underwater couple photos to say goodbye to Legendha Sukhothai Resort, a luxurious and worthy accommodation in the "Dawn of Happiness", Sukhothai Old Town. We will definitely be back.

The trip isn't over yet. Manaow continues her journey, taking her son (August) to stay at Le Charme Sukhothai Resort.
