I traveled by intercity train from Munich to Zurich, which took approximately four hours. I had booked my ticket in advance on the SBB.ch/EN website. The primary reason for my visit was to take advantage of a promotional ticket that required me to return from Zurich. The cost of living here is extremely high. In fact, if you can manage Switzerland, other European destinations will seem very affordable in comparison. I booked a room at the Hotel Bristol near Zurich HB station, which was the most affordable option I could find, costing around 6,000-7,000 per night. However, I only stayed for one night.

We arrived at the hotel around noon, but we had already eaten some bread on the train, so we weren't very hungry. We left our luggage at the hotel and then went up to the top of Mount Utliberg. From the top, we could see the whole city of Zurich. To get there, we went to Zurich HB and bought a ticket (I'm not sure what kind of ticket, because I was very confused by the transportation system here). We went to the Ticket Information desk, and they told us that we needed a ticket for a certain number of zones. The ticket was valid for 24 hours, which was perfect because it would be valid until the next day when we went to the airport. The ticket cost 17.6 Swiss francs.

To reach Uetliberg, go to platform 22 at Zurich HB. Look for the train with "Uetliberg" on the front display and board it. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes and ends at the final stop, Uetliberg.

The hike up the mountain takes another 15-20 minutes, which can be tiring, but the beautiful scenery makes it seem less strenuous.

However, I prefer the view from the back. It's beautiful. For this picture, I was willing to pay another 2 Swiss francs to climb a higher tower. I got a picture that touched the clouds, but I was also a little scared of falling. I even heard the sound of my phone falling.

The flowers and blades of grass here are also extraordinary, just as beautiful.

After conquering the summit of Utliberg, I took a tram back down to the city center to explore. Let me tell you, the prices here were enough to make my wallet tremble. Thankfully, I had already done my souvenir shopping in Munich (a wise decision, indeed). I hopped off the tram at Opernhaus station and settled down by the lakeside near the opera house. It was pure bliss. Imagine this: dangling your feet over the water's edge, serenaded by an accordion player, the kind of music you hear on travel shows. Pure. Bliss. Europe, Europe...

The walk continued until reaching the shopping district, which occupies the entirety of Bahnhofstrasse.

From Zurich HB, head towards Museumstrasse. You will see the Swiss National Museum. Cross the bridge and continue walking for about 200 meters to reach our hotel.

I took the tram to Rathaus station to visit the Lindenhof bastion and enjoy the view of the city along the Limmat River.
