Episode 3…Casino (Walking around, no money to play)

Continuing from the last episode…I might rewind a little to say that we started from the hotel, walked around the tourist attractions, and ended up at A-Ma Temple. Then we took a bus to A-Ma Village and on to Coloane to try the original egg tarts. We then took a bus back to see the fountain in front of the casino.

This is the third day of our trip to Macau.

We started from the hotel as usual, walked out and turned left to head towards Senado Square. But before we got there, we passed a street of food stalls, so we stopped to grab a bite to eat and had some congee.

After we finished eating, we headed towards the Goddess of Mercy by the water.

To get there, take the road that leads directly to Senado Square. Cross the street and walk along the Senado Square side, then turn right towards the area with numerous casinos. Walk along the right side, next to the river, towards the Wgnn Casino. Continue walking straight ahead. You will pass by the MGM Casino, which is worth visiting. (It is recommended to visit casinos in Macau even if you don't gamble, as each one has a unique design, layout, and decoration. Although photography is not allowed inside the gambling areas, you can take pictures of the surrounding areas. Almost all casinos have shopping malls attached to them.) Once you enter the MGM Casino, walk deeper inside to find the desired location.

Take a photo here. We walked straight through to the back of the building, then walked through to the front. Then, when we came out, we walked to the left and saw the Goddess of Mercy, which is on the opposite side of the road. We had to cross the road to get there. It is open to the public from Monday to Sunday, but it is closed on Fridays, so be sure to check the day.

Because we missed it and went on a Friday, we couldn't get in. Plus, it was raining that day. When we couldn't get in, our goal was to visit the Venetian casino. I won't go into detail about the walking route, but I recommend using Google Maps to get to Sand macoa to catch the free bus to the casino. If you have another way, you can use it, because the goal is the Venetian casino.

When you arrive, the bus will stop at the back of the casino, the same place where we got on the bus to go to the hotel.

Goal: Venetian replica

Once we entered the casino, the easiest way to find the replica of Venice was to look for a high escalator and go up. This is because the replica of Venice is located on the top floors of the casino.

Once you go up, look for the signs. I recommend having a map with you because it's easy to get confused and disoriented if you've never been there before. But there are signs everywhere, and there are plenty of restaurants and shops.

After sightseeing and eating, there was also egg tart.

After a short walk, we will head to Taipa Village. To get there, we will start from where we got off the bus and walk to the right. Keep walking, and you will see stairs and a pedestrian bridge. Take the stairs or the bridge to go up.

Continue walking straight ahead and turn right at the flat escalator. Follow the escalator all the way to the end and turn right again to reach the Museum. Keep walking straight ahead.

After taking in the surrounding views, we exited through the back and walked up the slope to the left, leading to the church.

Turn right at the church and continue walking. You will then see a staircase on your right. Descend the stairs.

If you go straight, you will find food stalls and souvenir shops. However, we will walk to the left. Before going down to the starting point, there is a map. Observe or take a picture of it before we go find food. Let's find a view first, then walk left.

Then walk straight ahead. You will see the path to the church and the museum.

After a satisfying meal and leisurely stroll, we returned to our starting point, completing a circular route. We crossed the pedestrian bridge to enter the Venetian Casino, aiming to visit other casinos accessible through interconnected pathways. Ascending to the upper level of the casino, we discovered a connecting passage leading to the Eiffel Tower replica, offering a captivating view of the casino at night, as well as the Arc de Triomphe and other attractions situated nearby.

It is recommended to visit all casinos, as they each have a unique beauty and are illuminated with beautiful lights at night.

It's time to go back. Take bus 26A from the bus stop in front of the casino. Get off after 12 stops at Senado Square. You can then visit Senado Square and enjoy the night lights.

This area also has Soi Sipla, which is recommended for a stroll to find unique and trendy items.
