Today's trip was very spontaneous. We decided on a whim to visit Bang Krachao. Let's go!
We started our journey by taking the BTS Skytrain and getting off at Bang Na Station. We exited through Exit 2, walked down the stairs, and hailed a taxi. We told the driver to take us to Wat Bang Na Nok, and after a short ride (costing 45 baht), we arrived at our destination.
Walking into the temple, I saw the pier on the right. We went to wait for the boat.
Upon reaching the pier at Wat Bang Nam Phueng Nok (boat fare 4 baht per person),
We rented bicycles (50 baht per person) and received a free bottle of water and a map. Then, we set off on our cycling adventure.
We arrived at noon and cycled for a while before stopping at Naa Od's Garden for some noodles (35 baht per bowl).
After recharging, continue cycling. If you get lost or are unsure of the route, ask the local uncles, aunts, and elders. They are kind and helpful. And then, the first stop, the Thai Fighting Fish Museum, has many beautiful fighting fish.
Keep spinning and you'll find the next place.
Sri Nakhon Khan Dam Park
Follow the map in the garden to find the location you're looking for.
The day I went, it happened to be raining.
Bird's nest
Cycling until exhausted, we finally reached the Bang Nam Phueng Floating Market.
We can park our bicycles and walk into the market to find food. There are many shops selling souvenirs and various kinds of food.
Paddling is available.
And queue up for the delicious "fresh coconut crispy rolls" (30 baht).
Intrigued by the crowd, I followed the flow of people.
Mieng kham, a set for 20 baht, is very delicious. I love it.
After strolling around and enjoying some street food, we cycled back to Wat Bang Nam Phueng Nok.
There are still many places left to cycle to return the bike. I will visit the remaining places next time.
We took a songthaew back to BTS Bang Na for 7 baht.
Other expenses, including travel, totaled 500 baht.
