August, the month of Mother's Day. Mother wanted to travel to the North for a long time. The children arranged it for her.

Jom Thong District, Chiang Mai Province, for a delightful experience amidst the rice fields.

The journey began with a trip from Bangkok to Kamphaeng Phet, where my mother met up with her old classmates for a reunion. The event, attended by individuals in their 70s who hadn't seen each other in over 40 years, was filled with excitement and joy, reminiscent of youthful gatherings.

In the morning, we took our mother to pay respects at the City Pillar Shrine in Kamphaeng Phet Province, praying for a safe journey.

The nephew took on the responsibility of caring for the elderly throughout the trip, allowing him to travel to Chiang Mai to see his older sister.

We picked up my sister at the Chiang Mai transport station. We followed the GPS coordinates to Heuan Khuan Khao in Chom Thong district, Chiang Mai province. The journey took about an hour.

Let the lady rest first, Manao will go up to take pictures of our house.

"House of Gifts" - a lovely name for a home.

Upstairs on the second floor, a small house with a comfortable and relaxing corner, enjoying a gentle breeze.

Equipped with air conditioning, hot water, and even an additional fan.

This bathroom is perfect for showering in the rain, just like defying the heavens. I love it!

Model: Ready? I'll be down in a moment.

They rummaged under the house for toys to play with.

The model is concerned that the umbrella might be too large. She also inquires if the traditional farmer's outfit was brought by the model herself, expressing admiration.

The models are exhausted. Let's head to the end of the rice field and drag the madam along for some fun.

This trip was all about snapping photos and having fun with the family. No need for serious stuff!

Our house is very crowded, making the photographer a little stressed.

The farmers are busy planting rice. The lady of the house wants to help, but her children and grandchildren stop her immediately, fearing she might slip and fall, jeopardizing their trip to Mae Hong Son.

It's your sister's birthday today, let her have a blast!

The rain kept falling and stopping, but my stomach never stopped rumbling. This Khantoke set, ordered from Huen Khao Khaw for 500 baht, was so delicious and plentiful that I had leftovers for a midnight snack. It was a truly unique and satisfying dining experience.

Sticky rice wrapped in banana leaves, please. Sounds good.

Following our customs, after taking a picture, you can eat.

- At Huen Khwan Khao, the two-story house where Manao lives is called "Huen Khwan Khao" and can accommodate 4 people for 1,500 baht, including breakfast porridge.

  • The other section, "Heuan Luang," has two floors, each of which can accommodate four guests for 1,200 baht per floor. If you rent the entire two-story building, it can accommodate eight guests for 2,000 baht, including breakfast porridge.

- "Khan Tok" dinner set for 2 persons is priced at 350 baht, and for 4 persons at 500 baht.

Manaow Kaokao's desk is the envy of Mikra.

The serene atmosphere of the rice fields in the evening is a delight to both the ears and the eyes.

As the last rays of sunlight faded, Manao's energy waned. She bathed under the moonlight and drifted into a peaceful slumber, recharging for the adventures that lay ahead.

Eager to bathe, dress, and come out to play early in the morning, the room downstairs was still asleep. Manao couldn't help but be mischievous.

The homeowner saw me looking at the upstairs room and said, "You can go up and take pictures."

The scenery is not particularly spectacular, but it has a simple, peaceful beauty that makes me want to visit every season during the rice-growing cycle.

The stage was set, and the young woman was tricked into posing as a model.

A coffee corner to enjoy while waiting for breakfast porridge in the morning.

With coffee in hand, it's time to enjoy the rice fields.

Rice porridge is here! Let me tell you, it's delicious!

We had to bid farewell to Huay Khuan Khao early in the afternoon, as our journey still had to take us to Pai, the hanging noodle shop in Ja Bo, Mae Hong Son, the Su Tong Pae Bridge, Pang Ung, Ban Rak Thai, Ban Wat Chan, and then Manao will continue to brag about it!

Thank you for following our journey, the striped family. We are heading to Pai district next.
