This trip was born out of a longing after working from Monday to Friday and studying on weekends. We were feeling bored and frustrated, so we decided to plan a trip during our class.

We started with saving money by finding a car and accommodation. During the trip, we hitched a ride with a fellow student to their house, where we stayed for free. It doesn't get any better than free transportation and accommodation.

After finishing our classes at five in the evening, we hitched a ride with one of our friends to another friend's house. We were excited to go out and have fun.

The journey from Phetchaburi to Khlong Wa in Prachuap Khiri Khan took almost 3 hours by car. We arrived around 8 pm and took a motorcycle taxi to our accommodation.

Let's have lunch, chicken rice with fish porridge with mushrooms, and then come back to rest. Tomorrow, I plan to climb the mountain from 6 am.

It's morning! Let's go. I'm taking a car with my brother. He'll drop me off, and then we'll face our fate together.

Behold the mountain yonder, our long-awaited destination, "Khao Lom Mo Wak." Let us embark on this journey and discover whether the arduous climb will be met with exhaustion or exhilaration.

"That's it, easy peasy." >< We arrived here around 6:00 AM, registered, and went straight up. For those who are worried about feeling unwell, please prepare some inhalants and balm. Oh, and for safety reasons, we should wear gloves to protect our hands. We also need to wear sneakers for easy climbing.

The seemingly endless staircase presented a daunting challenge for the out-of-shape child, who huffed and puffed their way up, taking frequent breaks. Even as the sun began to rise, the stairs continued relentlessly.

In the heart of the dense forest, where the mountains meet the sky.

For those who are afraid of getting tired or are concerned about safety, don't worry. We have rest stops at intervals, and there are soldiers to look after you closely. Let's take a break.

A short climb made us realize that the hot jackets should be removed and all the luggage in the bags should be left behind. If we didn't leave them, we wouldn't be able to continue.

Undeterred, we, as women, persevere with unwavering determination. Even when faced with treacherous cliffs and near-vertical slopes, we rise to the challenge with unwavering spirit.

This angle is quite thrilling.

Lo and behold, we've made a friend along the way! This adorable gibbon is incredibly friendly and well-behaved.

A brief visit with the gibbons before heading out. Time is ticking, will we make it to the dive on time?

The view is truly breathtaking, but it's impossible to rush.

The journey to this point demanded immense strength. Reaching this summit with its refreshing air, however, erases all fatigue.

Let's keep going, we're almost at the top of the mountain! You can do it!

And here we are, haha, there are quite a lot of people here.

We have arrived at the 360-degree view.

However, on the way, the diving boat called and asked, "Will you be coming? The boat can't wait any longer. All the passengers are here." I sighed and said, "I can't make it. I just came down from the mountain. I won't be able to make it in time." So I missed it.

Despite the setback, we are determined to find Dvongkron and wait there in the hope that someone will arrive for a morning dive. This way, we can hitch a ride on their boat.

Upon arrival, we replenished our salt levels before inquiring about transportation to Wanakon Beach. As there were no available vehicles, we were required to walk outside the airbase. Fortunately, a kind soldier offered us a ride to the beach.

We went outside to eat and plan our next steps.

After a satisfying meal, we felt energized and ready to find transportation to Wuan Gro Beach. We considered various options, including vans, songthaews, and rental cars. Ultimately, we decided to rent motorbikes and set off on an exhilarating ride to our destination.

After descending from the mountain, we experienced varying degrees of leg pain, ranging from mild to severe. As a result, we opted for a quick motorcycle tour of Ao Manao, where we snapped photos and took in the sights without dismounting from the vehicle due to our physical limitations.

Let's move on now, heading towards Duan Korn Beach.

We were tempted to stop at various points along the way, but eventually we arrived at Wana Korn Beach.

Camping is permitted on this beach for a fee of 30 baht per space.

We have arrived at the beach, eagerly anticipating the opportunity to go snorkeling. However, to our disappointment, no one has arrived yet. To alleviate our boredom, we decided to go for a swim.

After playing in the water, let's go back. We agreed to stop by the coral reef because we didn't get to dive with the fish and coral, but at least we saw them in the tank. Let's go!

Oops, this is not it. We're lost. ==

We have arrived at the Huay Kha Khaeng Wildlife Sanctuary for Children's Day. The entrance fee is now 30 baht per person, whereas it was previously free.

At least it went through the shark's belly.

Behold, a show feeding giant fish.

That's enough for today, we have to get back into work mode. The fun memories are still there. When we have time and money, we'll see each other again, Prachuap Khiri Khan.

The total cost of this trip was 500 baht.

Free transportation to the event.

Free accommodation

The trip was wonderful, filled with encounters with kind people and immense joy. Notably, when we returned the rental car, the kind owner generously drove us to the van terminal for our return trip, free of charge. The uncle was incredibly kind.

Traveling is a journey of learning, finding solutions, using wit, and solving problems. Sometimes things go as planned, sometimes they don't. That's normal. Think of it as fun, gaining experience.

Finally, I would like to express my gratitude to my friend Uai for accompanying me on this challenging journey, to Maem for allowing us to hitch a ride, to Lin for providing us with accommodation, to Lin's partner who rode us to lunch and dropped us off at Khao Lom Mo, to the soldier who brought us to the front of the airbase, to the uncle who rented us a car and drove us back home to the van station, and to all the friends who climbed Khao Lom Mo with us for their concern and smiles. Oh, and don't forget, Khao Lom Mo will only be open for two more rounds this year. If you haven't had the chance to go yet, hurry up!

See you again in the next post soon. Thank you all very much.
