"Twin Hills, Home of Sweet Treats,

Exquisite Art, Land of Dharma, Beautiful Sea"

The sentence is empty.

Phetchaburi, a province near Bangkok, can be explored in one day.

I love traveling by train. I boarded the train at Thon Buri Station, departing at 7:30 AM. I relaxed and before I knew it, I had arrived in Phetchaburi.

Without a car, we need to find a way to get around. So, Dew and her uncle decided to take a songthaew (a shared taxi) behind the station to visit the palace and Khao Luang Cave. They planned to explore the area to their heart's content.

Upon arrival at Khao Wang, visitors have the option to either hike up the mountain or utilize the tram service for a fee of 50 baht. An additional entrance fee of 20 baht is required, bringing the total cost to 70 baht.

Upon arrival, you can solo to your heart's content, but be sure to keep your hands free of food. The monkeys are notorious for their keen eyesight.

The trail alternates between hot and cold sections, so be prepared for a physically demanding hike if you want to complete it.

Enjoy the pictures! ^^

I wonder who grilled the chicken in that area.

No need to worry about running out of water, there is water for sale on the top. Cool and refreshing water, perfect for a relaxing break.

Alright, after having a drink and stretching, let's continue.

It's time for me to move on to the next destination, "Khao Luang Cave," which is about 5 kilometers from Khao Wang. Upon arrival at the entrance, you can choose to hike up (it's a short walk) or pay 15 baht for a two-way ride on a shared taxi. The choice is yours.

Please be careful when descending into the cave, as the stairs are steep and the ground is quite slippery.

The cave is particularly stunning when illuminated by natural light. Beams of sunlight penetrate the cave, creating a breathtaking spectacle.

It's time to head back. I'll take the train back as usual. There are two trains available:

  • Train 262 from Hua Hin to Phetchaburi, arriving at 3:08 PM. (This is a free train.)
  • Train 40 from Surat Thani to Phetchaburi, arriving at 4:47 PM. (This is an air-conditioned train with reclining seats. Reservations are required and cost 388 baht.)

Thank you to everyone who has read this review. This review may not have a lot of writing, and focuses mainly on pictures, but I have definitely put a lot of effort into it. I hope you all have a wonderful trip and enjoy what you do. Thank you.
