Yaowarat is a treasure trove of cool photo spots, from street art to trendy cafes.

The old houses and buildings, preserved in their raw beauty, make for a delightful stroll.

But be warned, walking is not enough, your stomach will be rumbling too! 555

Located directly opposite the Leng Noei Yi Temple, He Chen Fong offers a delightful dim sum experience in the heart of Yaowarat.

This review highlights some of the new menu items we discovered during our recent visit.

The standout dish for us was the shrimp dumplings, which were generously filled with plump, juicy shrimp. The dumplings were large and satisfying, and we highly recommend them.

The Majestic Dragon Lotus Temple: A Beacon of Spirituality in Yaowarat

The Dragon Lotus Temple, also known as Wat Leng Noei Yi, stands as a prominent landmark in the bustling heart of Yaowarat. This revered temple, whose name translates to "Temple of the Dragon Lotus," attracts countless devotees seeking spiritual solace and auspicious blessings.

Whether seeking to appease the wrath of the Tai Sui (Grand Duke Jupiter) or simply paying respects for good fortune, the temple welcomes all with open arms. In recent times, it has witnessed a surge in popularity among young adults and working professionals seeking a sanctuary amidst the urban chaos.

Reaching the temple is a breeze. Opt for the convenience of the MRT, disembarking at Hua Lamphong Station. From there, a quick 20-baht motorbike taxi or a 60-baht tuk-tuk ride will whisk you to the temple's doorstep. For those who prefer a leisurely stroll, the temple lies approximately a kilometer away, offering an opportunity to soak in the vibrant atmosphere of Yaowarat.

Here's how to get to Yaowarat:

Get off at Hua Lamphong MRT Station, Exit 4 (with elevator).

Take the bus at the bus stop in front of Bangkok Centre Hotel.

Bus routes: 4, 25, 40 (bus terminal), 53, 73, 73K, 507, 529, 542.

The bus will pass Wat Traimit, turn right at Odeon Circle, and enter Yaowarat Road.

Pass the traffic light at Charoen Krung Intersection.

Get off at the 2nd bus stop and cross the street.

Walk against the one-way traffic into Mangkon Road, then turn right onto Charoen Krung Road. Cross the street to the right, and you will find Wat Mangkon Kamalawat.

On the way back,

The bus stop on the left from the front of the temple is one bus stop away. You can't get on the bus here because the traffic is very bad.

Route 4,21,25,40,73,73ก.,507,529,542---Bus stop on the Hua Lamphong side

Route 7(Po.7), 85----Bus stop next to Khlong Phadung Krung Kasem--Hua Lamphong Station

Take a bus through the Odeon Circle intersection

Odeon Circle (Chalermprakiet Gate) in Yaowarat is another must-visit spot.

The Thai-Chinese cultural gate, or Chalermprakiet Gate, was built to commemorate His Majesty the King.

It is also a symbol of Chinatown.

During this time, we wandered around and observed the local way of life.

We also saw tourists from both Thailand and other countries who were strolling through the area.

When we came across a cool angle, we couldn't help but take a picture. Seeing the back makes us want to see the face in the ballot. 555

If you come on a weekend, Sunday will be a bit quiet. Shops and stalls along the alleys and streets in Yaowarat will be closed.

Except for the road in front of Leng Noei Yi Temple, there is still traffic and it is still bustling as usual.

The hustle and bustle in Yaowarat that we encountered during the day was the opportunity to walk and see the community life and various markets.

Whether it's a fruit market, Chinese medicine, clothes, and various household items, there are grandmothers sitting and fanning themselves, smiling friendly at us.

I can't resist when I find a fruit that I like, such as durian. But I've never eaten the long-stemmed variety. I wonder if it tastes as good as the Mon Thong variety.

I'll have to try it and see.

Explore the rows of old shophouses in the Yaowarat district, which are still commonly seen.

Beat the heat with a refreshing treat: Lod Chong Singapore

This stall offers a delicious and affordable way to cool down on a hot day. For just 20 baht, you can enjoy a glass of Lod Chong Singapore, a traditional Thai dessert made with coconut milk, rice flour noodles, and jackfruit.

The stall is located near the Tri Mitr Withayaram Temple, just before the intersection. It's easy to spot, thanks to the fragrant aroma of coconut milk and the vibrant colors of the dessert.

If you're feeling adventurous, try the "Galo Jee," a traditional Chinese sweet made with glutinous rice flour and sesame seeds. This stall is conveniently located next to the Leng Noei Yi Temple, making it a perfect stop on your temple tour.

It's next to a shop selling trinkets, so it's easy to find.

Take a leisurely stroll before reaching the Mangkon Kamalawat Temple.

Observe the way of life of the people in the area. Even if we raise our cameras to take pictures, they don't mind.

Everyone is smiling and friendly, especially the grandmothers in front of the shops. ^^

Or if you want to buy some to take home as a souvenir, that's fine too. But don't steam them yet, steam them again at home. Because eating them when the filling is flowing is so tempting.

Here's the delicious dish with overflowing fillings. You must try it!

We tried it first from the menu at He Chen Fong, Yaowarat. Hehe.

Other menus are coming soon.

We tried the Hong Kong-style stir-fried noodles, lotus leaf wrapped rice, and hot red shark fin soup, all of which were delicious.

We also tried the mushroom buns, which the restaurant claims are the only ones of their kind in Thailand at the moment.

I had the opportunity to watch the staff make fresh shrimp noodle rolls.

The process of making the large noodle sheets involves steaming them fresh.

It made me want to try making them myself! 555
