Wora Bura Resort & Spa

Another 5-star hotel in Hua Hin, located on Khao Takiab, can be accessed directly from the side of Cicada Market. My first impression upon arrival was that it was an old palace that had been renovated and expanded into a hotel. I asked the staff and was told that the hotel's design emulates the architectural style of the reign of King Rama V, which is a blend of the Wimanmek Palace, the Aphisek Dusit Throne Hall, and the Maruekhathaiyawan Palace.

The hotel offers a total of 77 rooms, including 48 Superia rooms, 24 Deluxe rooms, 2 Honeymoon Suites, and 3 Jacuzzi Villas. Each room is named after a province in Thailand and features vintage photographs and historical books about the corresponding province.

I stayed in the Deluxe room named Yasothon. The bathroom has a connecting door that can be opened to create an open space, or closed for privacy. The bathtub is large enough to relax in while watching TV.

The in-room beverage bar offers a selection of soft drinks, juices, and bottled water, all complimentary. Guests may also request additional bottled water, tea, coffee, and ice around the clock, similar to the amenities provided by other 5-star hotels.

Facilities

The hotel offers a medium-sized swimming pool, a spa, a fitness center, bicycles, a business center, and a children's room.

A notable feature of the staff here is the use of "ขอรับ" by male employees and "เจ้าค่ะ" by female employees at the end of their sentences. This charming practice evokes the atmosphere of the reign of King Rama V.

The breakfast buffet offers a variety of international dishes, with a focus on Thai hot dishes that complement the hotel's style. During my visit, the selection included Thai staples such as nam prik, boiled salted mackerel, and boiled salted pork. Other menu items were comparable to those found at most hotels.

@@ Location & Contact Wora Bura Resort & Spa @@

The hotel is located behind the Cicada Market. If you visit during the weekend, you can walk to the market. Alternatively, you can take the hotel's shuttle bus. I chose to walk, which took about 10 minutes.
