Introduction

Having read reviews about a place that seemed worth visiting but never had the chance to go, I finally made it to "Khao Ngu Stone Park" in Ratchaburi. Now that I've been there, I'm excited to share my review with you all.

Getting There

  • The outbound free train No. 255 from Thon Buri to Lang Suan departs at 7:30 AM, but I got off at Saphan Chulachomklao Railway Halt before reaching Ratchaburi Station. I arrived around 9:00 AM.

- On the return trip, take the free train number 262 from Hua Hin to Bangkok, arriving in Ratchaburi at 4:00 PM and arriving in Bangkok (Hualamphong) at 7:00 PM.

Once you arrive at the train station, what's next...

As we were four people on this trip, we hired a three-wheeled taxi from the bus stop for 800 baht, which is 200 baht per person. If you want a more economical option, there is a songthaew (shared taxi) that goes to Hin Khao Ngu, but I don't know where to catch it (sorry!).

We haven't reached Hin Khao Ngu yet.

I asked the trishaw driver to take me to Nong Hoi Temple first. I wanted to make merit before visiting the temple, which also offers beautiful views within its grounds.

Entering the Snake Mountain

It was past noon when I had lunch at a simple restaurant near the park. Then, I asked the rickshaw driver to take me to the park. Since it was a rather rushed trip, I might not have captured some angles.

Conclusion

It's already 3 pm, I have to go back now. I'm afraid I won't catch the 4 pm train. Although the trip was only a few hours, it was still a good experience with these two beautiful places. If you are interested in a one-day trip, I highly recommend it.

Goodbye TT

The train arrived at Ratchaburi station. I picked up my ticket and bought a box of Ratchaburi noodles for 10 baht. They were delicious! The train is here, so I'm heading home now. See you on the next trip!
