Accommodation is crucial for a relaxing vacation. In Kanchanaburi Province, there are numerous hotels and resorts to choose from. However, I highly recommend U Inchantree Kanchanaburi, a boutique resort with a serene, minimalist, and comfortable atmosphere. Its prime location on the banks of the Kwai River provides a unique experience, akin to staying in a riverside cottage surrounded by lush greenery. Moreover, it is conveniently located just a 5-minute walk from the iconic Bridge over the River Kwai, a must-visit tourist attraction in Kanchanaburi.

For privacy and a peaceful stay, U Inchantree Kanchanaburi offers 50 rooms, divided into 20 Superior Rooms (18 sqm), 26 Deluxe Rooms (30 sqm), and 4 Suites (36 sqm) in a 2-story building surrounding a lush green lawn.

The left side features a large tree standing tall in front of the resort building, known as the "Indian Coral Tree". This iconic tree is the inspiration behind the resort's name.

The Indian cork tree that you see is actually two trees, the Indian cork tree and the jhan tree, that have grown and flourished side by side for a long time. Their branches are so intertwined that they appear to be a single tree. This is a symbol of the love between two people who are so closely bound that they become one.

Upon entering the room, guests are presented with a selection of fragrant soaps, each infused with the essence of traditional Thai herbs. These include the invigorating scent of lemongrass, the delicate aroma of jasmine, the earthy fragrance of bamboo, and the sweet perfume of orchids.

The interior features a walkway through a grassy area connecting the buildings, with a sunshade in some sections to provide protection from the heat.

Let's take a look at the guest rooms at U Inchantree Kanchanaburi. The room we are visiting is a Deluxe Room, which measures 30 square meters. There are a total of 26 Deluxe Rooms available.

The room is fully equipped with amenities such as a double/single bed, an LCD TV with satellite channels, a refrigerator, air conditioning, a telephone, a tea/coffee maker, bathrobes, an iPod dock, and Wi-Fi throughout the property.

A work desk and a mini-bar with a tea and coffee maker, offering a selection of teas and coffees to suit your preferences.

The refrigerator also offers complimentary bottled water and a selection of beverages, with one complimentary drink per person. This "Welcome Drink" allows guests to choose their preferred beverage.

The bathroom offers ample space and is divided into a toilet area and a shower area. It is fully equipped with amenities, including a hairdryer.

The bathroom appears modern and, most importantly, exceptionally clean.

The bathroom is equipped with liquid soap and shampoo. Guests may also choose to use the herbal soap provided during check-in.

Free bicycles are available for rent if you want to explore the surrounding area. You can sign up to borrow a bike and ride around for free all day. Nearby attractions include the Bridge over the River Kwai, which is only 300 meters away.

Exiting the accommodation zone and heading towards the banks of the River Kwai, you will encounter The Peppers and The Terrace, which house the resort's restaurants and riverside bars. These venues offer a scenic and relaxing ambiance for dining and leisure.

The Terrace is a riverside bar perfectly situated on the bend of the Kwai River, offering a truly idyllic atmosphere. Relax and unwind with a refreshing drink, soaking in the scenic views of the riverbank. The ideal times to visit are during the refreshing morning hours or the cool evening when the sun sets and the gentle breeze blows. Notably, this spot provides a breathtaking sunset view as the sun dips behind the mountains in the distance.

Looking to the left, you will see the Bridge over the River Kwai nearby.

A small pavilion nestled amidst the lush greenery of trees, offering a space for relaxation or traditional Thai massage services.

Not far from The Terrace is the swimming pool, which is open from morning until 10:00 PM. However, the recommended times to visit are in the morning or evening when the weather is pleasant and not too hot. Come and soak in the cool water while enjoying the riverside atmosphere.

The pond here is relatively small, narrow, and long, running parallel to the river. It may not be suitable for swimming laps, but it is a pleasant place to cool off and splash around. Especially in the evening, the atmosphere by the water is particularly delightful.

This area is likely to be a favorite among foreign tourists, who can sunbathe in a riverside setting.

In the evening, you must secure a seat at The Terrace because, as mentioned earlier, this area offers stunning sunset views. Tourists enjoy sitting, ordering food and drinks, and soaking in the romantic ambiance.
