Last week, I had the opportunity to visit Taipei, Taiwan. As many know, the city boasts a vibrant culinary scene, offering a wide variety of street food and restaurant options. During my visit, I sampled both street food and restaurant fare. However, my friend invited me to try a vegetarian buffet. While I am not typically a vegetarian, my friend assured me that the food was delicious and tasted like "regular" food. Given the reasonable price, I decided to give it a try.

As the Vegetarian Festival approaches, this restaurant offers a convenient and comfortable option for enjoying delicious vegetarian cuisine. Similar to a vegetarian restaurant, it provides a relaxed atmosphere for dining. Conveniently located near the Zhongxiao Dunhua MRT station (BL16, Exit 3), it is easily accessible by taking the blue line. Simply head to the 12th floor of the MING YAO department store to find the restaurant.

Fruitful Food Vegetarian Buffet, a restaurant located on the 12th floor in Taipei, Taiwan, offers a buffet dining experience in a luxurious setting. The restaurant operates on a reservation-based system, with seating times available from 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM. Upon arrival, guests are greeted by welcoming staff who assist with reservations and seating arrangements.

The facade features sculptures of vegetables and fruits in a Taiwanese style, suggesting that this is a vegetarian restaurant serving only vegetables.

Upon entering, the salad bar is immediately visible. However, I disregarded it and continued walking.

Following the salad bar is the International section, where a large block of cheese is available for grating, along with a selection of juices to stimulate the appetite. Vegetables are also thoughtfully arranged as a decorative touch.

This is a salad with cheese in olive oil. It's delicious. I like to eat cheese. The vegetables are fresh and fragrant.

The chef is slicing tomatoes, making a tomato salad right before our eyes. As she slices, the tomatoes bounce, showcasing their freshness.

A variety of soups are available, including mushroom soup and pumpkin soup. Baguette bread is provided for dipping in the soup.

This Italian kitchen is making French toast with pizza toppings.

This French bread pizza, as I shall call it, was a delightful treat. The crust was perfectly crisp on the outside, while the inside remained soft and yielding. The toppings were flavorful and bold, creating a symphony of textures and tastes that kept me happily chewing away.

This dish is not for consumption, but it has a fresh and lovely appearance. At first glance, I thought it was a dessert, but it is likely a savory dish as it is located in the savory kitchen.

Various toppings and tofu and vegetable-filled sushi

This is a cheese that is eaten with halved cherry tomatoes. The tomatoes are very fresh and taste delicious with the cheese.

This dish features tomatoes that the chef has sliced and placed on top. It is dressed with olive oil and served with cheese, although a different type of cheese than the one pictured above. The flavor is salty and sour, and it is delicious.

This is a delicious dish of pasta with pesto sauce, or Italian basil sauce. It is very fragrant and tasty. I like it. On the right is an omelet, which is special because of its cheese filling. At the bottom is a fruit salad in olive oil and mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes are fragrant, sweet, and creamy. It's a pleasure to eat. It's a good thing I thought to order something else to eat.

This is a pizza with a thin and crispy crust. The toppings are not thin, however, and include tomatoes, basil, and crispy onions.

The dish consists of a cup filled with soup, offering two options: corn soup or mushroom soup. A puff pastry covers the top and is baked until golden brown and fluffy. To eat, simply poke a hole in the center and use the puff pastry to dip into the soup. This dish is both delicious and fun to eat.

This dish resembles "kuay tiew lord," but the filling is stir-fried water chestnut with seasonings. I enjoyed the filling; it had a smooth, savory, and slightly sweet flavor. However, I found the wrapper to be a bit thick.

This is a popular dish here, according to my younger sister. It's called sea anemone soup, and it does look a bit like one. The broth is sweet and fragrant, and the "sea anemones" are actually tofu, cleverly cut to resemble the real thing. When added to the soup, they move slightly, just like sea anemones.

Noodles in vegetable broth with wolfberries. The broth is very fragrant and sweet. The top right corner is similar to a hot pot, but it is cabbage and kohlrabi boiled in a thick soup, with tofu and cheese. Yes, the yellow stuff on top is cheese. The soup is delicious and refreshing. The vegetables are soft and the cheese tastes good. The bottom is tomato fried rice and dumplings with vegetable filling.

This dish is stir-fried mushrooms with soy sauce. I saw the table next door pour it over their rice noodles, which seems like a good combination because the flavor is salty and sweet. The mushrooms are very bouncy and satisfying to chew.

This is a skewered and grilled mushroom, seasoned with sweet sauce, tomato sauce like barbecue sauce, sprinkled with sesame seeds, grilled with green chili, crunchy and delicious. The mushroom meat goes very well with the sauce.

This is a selection of fried snacks. The fried tofu is crispy and delicious, and when dipped in mustard, it has a similar texture to french fries. It's very enjoyable, but you can't eat too much as there are many other dishes to try. On the right is fried radish, which surprisingly has no unpleasant odor. I usually avoid radish due to its smell, but this one is easy to eat. Below that is deep-fried sweet potato, which is absolutely delicious. In the bottom left corner is fried Chinese chives cake, which is different from the version we have back home that includes bean sprouts and garlic chives. This one has a sweet flavor and a chewy texture.

The chef is frying savory pancakes. They are frying them in plain sight, seemingly unfazed by the smoke or smell.

Can you guess what this dish is? It's steak, but it's mushroom steak. Let me tell you, the texture is very similar to meat. As a meat lover, steak is my favorite. This dish is so delicious that I can't believe it's made of mushrooms.

The text describes a dish of rice mixed with seaweed and then shaped into balls. It is drizzled with chili sauce and other condiments. The writer expresses their hesitation to eat too much, fearing it might spoil their appetite for other dishes. However, they acknowledge its deliciousness, highlighting the seaweed's aroma and the contrasting textures of the crunchy toppings and the spicy chili sauce. They conclude by praising the dish's ability to counteract greasiness.

This set is a vegetable set. It only contains vegetables, and vegetables, and vegetables. It's from the vegetarian buffet restaurant Mangsawirat. This dish is a mix of eggplant, sweet potato, pumpkin shoots, and baby corn.

This is a halved mandarin orange, sliced crosswise, sprinkled with sugar and brûléed until the sugar melts and caramelizes slightly, giving off a fragrant aroma. The caramelized sugar forms a crispy coating on the surface of the orange. No wonder it's considered a delicacy! I devoured the entire half myself. The combination of sweet, tart, and crunchy caramelized sugar is incredibly refreshing.

This golden soup, I don't know what it's called or what it's made of, but it tastes salty with a sweet aftertaste. The viscosity is like fish maw. My younger sibling told me that it's a vegetarian shark fin soup made with eggs. I'm so embarrassed!!!

This is a tempura-fried eggplant soup with a crispy, chewy texture and a delicious eggplant flavor.

This is a stir-fry of bell peppers, zucchini, onions, baby corn, and asparagus, cooked in olive oil and seasoned with spices. The aroma is quite fragrant, and the vegetables are very fresh. With good ingredients and a skilled cook, the dish is even more delicious.

This is a real treat! The cheese balls are coated in a variety of nuts, creating a delightful combination of sweet, savory, and crunchy textures. I couldn't resist indulging in several, momentarily forgetting about my diet.

Chinese restaurants and steamed buns are a perfect match. You must try it. It doesn't look like it, but it's not a char siu filling. It's a vegetable filling, but when you eat it, it's definitely char siu.
The top right is a plum soaked in red wine. This is another recommended menu. The juicy plum is soaked in fragrant red wine. It's sweet and juicy in your mouth. The flavors really complement each other, and it's sweet and fragrant in a memorable way.

The recommended drinks here are the two glasses (bottom right). Carrot juice and soy milk. But for us, we'll pass on these two glasses. The carrot juice is 100% concentrated carrot juice, with a strong carrot flavor. It's no different from plain soy milk, with no flavoring at all. People who like vegetarian food might like it, but we're not fake vegetarians.

Fortunately, they offer a wide variety of carbonated beverages from both Taiwan and other countries, as well as a diverse selection of fruit juices. This is a welcome relief.

Let's move on to the dessert zone. There are so many different kinds of desserts that it's hard to choose just one. And they're all so delicious and rich. Oh my god, how many kilometers will I have to run when I get back?

Butter cake, chocolate, and crispy sesame crackers

This is a native dish, egg custard with cream. It's delicious, sweet, and soft. I want to eat more, but I can't.

This is our favorite. The creamy berry pie, the creamy texture and the pie crust, spread with berries, are perfectly matched. The sour taste cuts through the sweetness, making it very refreshing.

Today's meal was like a robbery, I ate so much that I almost burst. It was worth the buffet price, but I don't know if it's worth burning off. If anyone is interested in vegetarian food like this in a shopping mall, if you go to Taipei, Taiwan, please try it. The price is not expensive compared to the taste and quality of the food. Especially during the Vegetarian Festival, you can eat almost everything without having to walk around looking for vegetarian food.

Thank you for watching.
