Alright! This trip is just like the title says, a short trip to shake things up. This time, we're going for a walk on a weekend in southern Vietnam.

We were forced to pay $10 each for a SIM card to use WiFi throughout the trip.

However, Kanom did not buy one and relied on Sing to share her hotspot throughout the trip.

I would like to express my gratitude to Sing for her kindness. The reason is that Kanom bought roaming and it ran out

within the first 30 minutes of setting foot in Ho Chi Minh City. It was more expensive than a SIM card. Why would I buy it?

The second reason is that... when I travel, I only use my phone to answer work occasionally. It's not really necessary.

With a new SIM card in hand, we were once again connected to the world.

We realized that while we could now contact anyone, we couldn't stay where we were.

We needed to book a car to take us into the city. Fortunately, the mobile phone shop offered a car booking service. Perfect!

the taxi dropped me off at my destination, as requested: The Sihn Tourist.

I was there to book a sleeper bus ticket for my trip to Dalat that evening.

The bus was scheduled to depart at 10 pm, and I needed to check in at the office by 9:30 pm.

That gave me about two hours to kill, so I decided to grab some food. Let's go!

We also waited in line to check in and went up to the room to take a shower and get dressed to go out today!

"Mui Ne"!!

We contacted the hotel to buy bus tickets (regular bus) from Dalat to Mui Ne.

The van is scheduled to pick us up in front of the hotel at 7 am, but because Kan Na is really starting to feel unwell,

Kan Na went to ask for medicine at the Lobby, thinking that even one paracetamol would be good, so that it could help relieve the fever.

After an hour-long drive through vast stretches of ocean, we finally reached the desert. The journey may have been long, but the breathtaking beauty of the sand dunes erases all fatigue.

The desert trip was the most enjoyable for Kale, as it was the only place she had planned to visit.

Kale had always wanted to visit the desert, and she was overjoyed. She was grinning from ear to ear.

We walked until sand got into our shoes for about 8 queues. We should go back because it looks like it's going to rain again.

On the way back, we rode our motorbikes back to the hotel in the rain.

Located in the heart of the city, the square offers a view of modern high-rise buildings with surprisingly light traffic. This was our last stop for taking photos before heading to the airport by taxi.

The taxi stopped on this side of the road after I hailed it...why would it cross the road to pick me up??

# Trip Wrap-Up!

• We spent about 8,000 Thai baht per person on this trip (mostly on food, excluding airfare).
• We traveled long distances and mainly used motorbikes, so I recommend wearing a mask to cover your nose - there's a lot of dust!
• The food was delicious, but for drinks, I recommend sticking to simple things like canned water.
• Walking around or taking public transportation wasn't as scary as I initially thought.
• The Vietnamese people in all three cities were lovely and spoke politely. Some didn't smile much, but they weren't rude.
• We didn't encounter any scammers, and the taxis didn't cheat us. The only exception was the friendly coconut vendor who charged us a bit much.
• Crossing the street is a bit of an ordeal, so be extra careful. The traffic is really scary!
• I personally prefer the Starbucks green tea in Thailand (this one might be more to Vietnamese tastes).
• English is widely spoken, so communication was easy.
