On a peaceful day, escaping the hustle and bustle, a cottage at the end of the rice field might be the best option…

One day, I packed my backpack and left the bustling capital of Bangkok for the lush northern region of Thailand. My destination: Chiang Mai, a province renowned for its natural beauty and abundance of tourist attractions. Among its many hidden gems, Mae Chaem, with its captivating Green Zone, beckoned me to escape the daily grind and seek solace in nature. So, I bid farewell to my responsibilities and embarked on a journey to "Gowit Khum Plai Na," a tranquil retreat nestled amidst rice paddies. Let's embark on this adventure together and explore the wonders that await.

The journey from Chiang Mai city to the cottage at the end of the rice field, a distance of over 100 kilometers, can be made in several ways, depending on individual preferences. You can drive yourself, or you can arrange for a pick-up service. However, be warned that the last 5 kilometers are a real challenge, as the road becomes steep and rough after the paved section ends. If you are not experienced in driving off-road, it is recommended to use the pick-up service for a more comfortable and convenient journey. For those who enjoy a challenge, please drive carefully. Along the way, you will be rewarded with stunning views of the surrounding mountains and the beauty of the rice terraces. Take your time to stop and take pictures, as the journey is just as much about enjoying the scenery as it is about reaching your destination. After all, if you are planning a relaxing getaway, why rush? Immerse yourself in the beauty of nature and create memories that will last a lifetime.

If it rains, the water will pool and the road will become slippery red clay, even on flat ground. Imagine how much worse it would be on a slope...

Upon arrival, do not be alarmed by the absence of people. This secluded cabin accommodates a maximum of 8 guests, ensuring a tranquil experience. With only a few fellow travelers in sight, those seeking solitude will find solace here. Indulge in a farm-to-table experience, growing and consuming your own food. Internet and electricity are available to keep you connected, should you desire.

A small stream is available for those who wish to play near the back of the hut. It is approximately 100 meters away.

Dinner and breakfast were all northern Thai food, served on a khantoke tray. There was so much food that we could hardly finish it all.

The front of the hut has a patio for relaxing, which is awesome.

The interior is filled with soft, fluffy cushions, perfect for napping anytime. Zzz

This is a blank paragraph.

The owner of the farmstay, Wit, loves marigolds so much that he decided to grow them himself. As a result, the huts are surrounded by marigolds.

Farewell, and until we meet again.

For nature lovers seeking tranquility, this secluded location offers a respite from the crowds. With limited tourist traffic, the FarmStay provides a peaceful retreat.
