Hello everyone, I'm back... This review is about a trip I took with my family in January 2017. We went to Chiang Rai for 3 days and 2 nights. Follow along to see where we went!

**Rough Itinerary** * **Day 1:** Check in to Phu Fah Sawan Resort on Phu Chi Fa. The resort offers two options: Phu Fah Sawan Resort 1 and 2. The difference lies in the accommodation style, with Resort 1 offering modern buildings and Resort 2 featuring traditional Thai houses. We opted for the Thai house, located beyond the ascent to Phu Chi Fa. Upon arrival, we witnessed a breathtaking sunset. * **Day 2:** We woke up early to climb Phu Chi Fa. On our descent, we visited Rai Ruam Rom, a scenic orchard. We then headed to the city, stopping by Wat Rong Suea Ten, the Black House Museum, and returning to our dormitory. In the evening, we attended the Flower Festival at the walking street and enjoyed dinner at Suman Chan Restaurant. (The walking street in Chiang Rai is held every Saturday, while the Flower Festival takes place during the winter months, typically from December to mid-February of the following year. Stay tuned for updates on the event dates to plan your trip accordingly.) * **Day 3:** We stopped at Pa Tueng Hot Springs before ascending to Doi Mae Salong via the Mae Chan-Tha Ton route. Along the way, we were greeted by lush green mountains, blooming wild Himalayan cherry blossoms, and local villages, offering a glimpse into the lives of the inhabitants. Upon reaching Doi Mae Salong, we encountered a market selling dried fruits and various teas lining the streets. We continued to 101 Tea Plantation and concluded our day with a visit to the magnificent Phra That Doi Mae Salong, also known as the Great Relics Pagoda of Doi Mae Salong.

Upon arrival, we wasted no time and headed straight to the rooftop. As we arrived in the late afternoon, we were just in time to witness the breathtaking sunset. Gazing out to the horizon, we were greeted by a series of mountains, their slopes adorned with terraced fields of cabbages and strawberry farms.

The feeling at that moment was like falling in love with someone at first sight. I've always enjoyed this type of travel, and I've wanted to come here many times before, but I haven't been able to. I can say that this time I'm satisfied. Hehe...

The resort's rooftop features a long wooden table where guests can relax, enjoy the sunrise and sunset, or simply take in the breathtaking views. In the morning, those who prefer not to hike up Phu Chi Fa can still witness the stunning sea of mist from this vantage point.

Like fourteen again ♥ Our own father and mother

The feeling is like having to coax my boyfriend. My younger brother is sulking because he wanted to eat fried chicken wings, but the restaurant said they were sold out. This is the face of someone who is angry and hungry. You understand, right? Eating is a big deal, haha! 55555

The evening air grew cooler, and the wind picked up. As I drove, I gazed at the sky, enjoying the scenery.

For today's meal, we ordered food at the resort. The dishes included spicy and sour soup with catfish, minced pork salad, garlic-fried tilapia, stir-fried vegetables from the mountains, and boiled chicken that was offered to the ancestors at my grandfather's house this morning. My grandfather was worried that his grandchildren wouldn't get to eat it, haha. There were also sticky rice cakes and steamed rice cakes that my aunts had sent over. I haven't been back to my grandfather's house during Chinese New Year for a long time. Every year, I miss the cakes made by my aunts. Now that I've had them, my cravings are satisfied. They're as delicious as ever.

Staying with children is like being a child yourself, watching cartoons on repeat. This is a room for two people, with a clothes drying rack, a TV (with cable), a table for placing things, and drinks, which are plain water. There are two more blankets in the wardrobe, which is very warm. At the end of the bed, there are two towels for wiping, and the pillows are soft. The pillowcases are made of cotton, giving a hint of the northern atmosphere.

The bathroom is clean and has a sink. There is no hot water heater, but there is a gas-powered water heater. To use the hot water, turn on the water fully and wait for 2 minutes. The water pressure is low, so there is a bucket to collect water and a dipper to scoop it out.

Stepping outside for a stroll, we find ourselves in the serene front area of the resort. The tranquility is palpable, devoid of any hustle and bustle or intrusive noise. The traditional Thai-style houses, with their modest size, exude a sense of calm and harmony.

Venturing out to photograph the stars past midnight, I ascended to the rooftop. The biting cold and strong winds pierced through me, chilling me to the core. Despite the discomfort, the experience was undeniably worthwhile. This was my first attempt at astrophotography, so please bear with my amateur efforts. The night sky was adorned with a breathtaking spectacle of countless stars, a sight that left me in awe. The sheer beauty of the celestial tapestry was truly mesmerizing.

Waking up early! The shared taxi picked us up at 5:00 am. We were heading to Phu Chi Fa, each paying 80 baht for a round trip. The resort owner arranged it for us. We were lucky to meet friendly fellow travelers on this trip, making the journey more enjoyable and colorful. Our group ranged from young children and teenagers to uncles and aunties.

We have reached the top! The climb was challenging, and I didn't capture the ascent on camera because it was still dark. It was quite steep, especially towards the end. Along the way, I made a new friend, which was fun. I met a woman in her late seventies who was still going strong, which inspired me not to give up. Now, the sunlight is starting to break through.

I'm feeling really hot and sweaty after walking for a while. It's not even cold anymore, it's actually hot! I even had to take off my sweater.

Let's take a picture! Make the most of the tripod. When I was going up, I felt like it was a burden, but now I feel like it's useful. Other people like to say that my brother and I are like copies of our parents, but we see each other almost every day, so I don't think we're that similar, haha.

A mountain range stretches as far as the eye can see, forming a natural border between Thailand and Laos.

The peak of Phu Chi Fa is a cliff with a sharp point that juts up into the sky, hence the name "Phu Chi Fa" (meaning "Sky-Pointing Mountain"). From this vantage point, the peak resembles the head of a lion.

Along the way down, there are rest stops with benches shaped like pine trees, which are quite beautiful.

Before leaving, please support the strawberry farmers on Phu Chi Fa. The strawberries are very fresh, directly from the farmers without middlemen. The farmers sell them themselves. The strawberries are large and cost 100 baht per box. Let's help distribute income to the community. Let's go!

After descending from Phu Chi Fa, we continued to Rai Ruern Rom. This is an organic vegetable farm, or what we call "organic vegetables." It is an agricultural tourism destination, as well as a health cafe, offering delicious food made from fresh, pesticide-free vegetables.

Upon entering, one is greeted by the sight of a smiling goat.

The farm has a camp for sleeping, similar to a Korean one. It would be fun to come with friends.

A bonfire crackles in the center, a grill sizzling with food—an irresistible invitation. Beyond, fields of vegetables stretch as far as the eye can see.

A stylish treehouse connected to the cafe by a wooden bridge.

It's noon and the sun is scorching. I'm having a cold cappuccino to cool down for a bit.

The younger brother came with a pink, not-too-sweet iced milk, which was also delicious.

The dessert menu was limited, so I opted for the ice cream. It contained banana, which tasted like dried banana, and Oreo cookies, resulting in a peculiar but enjoyable flavor combination.

The outdoor atmosphere in the evening must be cool, but right now the sun is too strong.

Next, we will visit Wat Rong Suea Ten, located in Chiang Rai city.

Visit the Black House Museum

Tourists are drawn to the allure of becoming prey, captivated by the irresistible charm of the tigers. The region's rich artistic heritage is showcased through captivating performances of Lanna art.

The 13th Chiang Rai Flower Festival, Tatung Garden, and Chiang Rai lanterns are located next to the Saturday Walking Street.

This sentence describes a delicious street food dessert found at a walking street market. The dessert is described as having a large size and a burst of flavor when bitten into. It is filled with a sweet coconut filling.

Head back to the walking street and grab a bite to eat at Samanchan Restaurant. Order your food in advance and it will be ready for you when you arrive. Follow their page for amazing promotions: https://www.facebook.com/samanchan.cei/?fref=ts
Delicious food, great atmosphere, and excellent service. You can't miss it! It's more than worth it!

First-time visit, impressed!

This restaurant offers frequent promotions, so be sure to check them out. We opted for the "Winter 3" set, which included five dishes and ice cream. We also ordered two additional items, which were surprisingly affordable. The live music on the second floor added to the ambiance. The highlight was the shrimp, incredibly fresh as they are raised by the restaurant itself. The dipping sauce was delicious, too. I'm already hungry just thinking about it! You have to try it for yourself, you won't regret it!

Location: Baan Du Market, opposite Yomi Cosmetic.

💸 The total cost was 1297฿. The set menu for 3 people was 999฿. We added Chang beer, 2 additional dishes, and 1 pot of rice.

Stop by the Pa Tueng hot spring or Huai Hin Fon hot spring before going up to Doi Mae Salong. The roadside view is very beautiful and natural. The mountains are lush green, with rice fields and mountains mixed together. It's beautiful. There is a small stream flowing from the mountains.

The water temperature is around 70-109 degrees Celsius, allowing for full body immersion.

We have arrived at Doi Mae Salong and are visiting the 101 Tea Plantation. It's incredibly vast!

The final point of Phra Borommathat Srinagarindra Sthiti Maha Santi Kiri. When we came to repaint it, let me tell you, the way up was quite something. There were some sections that were quite steep, and you had to brace yourself and push. It's best not to tailgate each other, or else you'll definitely lose the fun.

The vibrant colors of the tiger lily flowers stand out against the sky.

This vantage point offers panoramic views of Doi Mae Salong.
