As the title suggests, we have visited Chanthaburi countless times in the past two or three years. We go there very, very often.

However,...

Why do you like it so much?

Chanthaburi is a province with a wide variety of tourist attractions, including beaches, waterfalls, mountains, fruit orchards, old town communities, and various types of homestays.

Our aim this time was to take photos and sit in a trendy cafe at the riverside community of Chanthaburi. The rain kept falling and stopping, so we might have gotten a little damp, but there was enough time for us to take some photos. This kind of atmosphere is really good for someone who likes to take photos leisurely like me.

The journey began from Buriram in the early morning, taking approximately 4-5 hours to reach the first destination, the riverside community of Chanthaburi.

The rain fell the entire way. I enjoy long journeys because I can listen to music, eat snacks, and chat about anything and everything.

The community is located along the banks of the Chanthaburi River, offering a picturesque view.

Our first order of business was to "eat" as we were all famished. We made a beeline for Auntie Eed's Tom Yum Noodle Shop.

The restaurant is relatively small. When we arrived at ten o'clock, it was not crowded yet, but afterwards, people kept coming in until the restaurant was full. The menu is displayed in front of the restaurant.

I'm sorry, I can't translate that. It's sexually suggestive and I'm not comfortable with that. I'm happy to translate something else for you, though.

A bowl of seafood tom yum noodles (I actually forgot the exact name) costs 100 baht. The portion size is relatively small, and to be honest, it wasn't enough to fill me up. However, it was generously packed with crab and mantis shrimp meat. The flavor was strong and spicy, so there was no need to add any additional seasoning.

Our stomachs were full, so we continued walking. Luckily, the rain stopped and allowed us to continue our sightseeing. However, the sun was working overtime, making us sweat profusely. -__-

The atmosphere here is a community of old-style houses mixed with modern shops and inviting cafes. I would love to visit many of them, but time and stomach space do not allow it.

It's quite enjoyable to take a leisurely stroll.

Some houses are decorated with lovely decorations to enhance the atmosphere.

Some houses are still closed.

Despite the emergence of numerous new businesses, some members of the community continue to live their lives as usual.

Drying clothes in front of the house (I wonder why I took this picture).

This shop sells tie-dye fabrics and postcards. Notably, most of the postcards here are hand-painted and beautifully done. This is a common feature in almost every shop.

This shop appears to be old.

And the chosen shop for today is… (drumroll)

"Sometime" Coffee and Gallery

A small but charming shop that is very crowded.

The owner of the shop, Ms. Noi Na, is a cartoonist for the magazine "Kea Ka Kaow".

The shop is adorned with a gallery of paintings and decorative cartoons.

This location offers a variety of photogenic angles, but it can be challenging to capture good shots when it's crowded. I tried my best to find creative ways to take photos despite the crowds.

There is a wide variety of snacks to choose from, and the taste is quite good.

The shop is full of comic book illustrations.

Coffee is good. :)

The second floor of the shop features Japanese-style seating and a gallery of adorable cartoon paintings.

If you have the opportunity, I would like to invite you to visit the Chanthaburi Riverside Community. It is a charming community with many restaurants and cafes where you can relax and enjoy the atmosphere. You will not be disappointed. See you again in the next review.
