DITP to hold a seminar on "Exploring the Path to Excellence in Thai Logistics".

The Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) is actively developing a plan to upgrade Thailand's logistics system to international standards.

The plan involves organizing a seminar titled "Delving into the Path to Excellence in Thai Logistics" to bring together logistics experts and discuss ways to enhance management capabilities.

The goal is to improve Thailand's competitiveness and drive growth opportunities in the international trade arena.

Chanatira Jimreawatt Viwatrattanakul, Director-General of the Department of International Trade Promotion, Ministry of Commerce, revealed that the Ministry of Commerce is accelerating the development of the capabilities of Thai logistics service providers in accordance with the Logistics Development Strategy of Thailand, No. 3 (2017-2021). The Ministry is preparing to organize a seminar entitled "Exploring the Path to Excellence in Thai Logistics" to enhance the knowledge of logistics service providers and international traders on the management of organizations with international standards, develop their competitiveness, and prepare them for doing business both domestically and internationally.

"This seminar is a valuable opportunity for entrepreneurs to gain knowledge and advice from experts in organizational management and logistics. This knowledge can be applied to improve organizational management practices and achieve industry standards, ultimately enhancing competitiveness," said Ms. Chanthira.

The seminar "Deep Dive into the Path to Excellence in Thai Logistics" will be held on March 29-30, 2018 at the Galleria Room, 5th floor, S31 Hotel, Sukhumvit, Bangkok. The Department has invited logistics experts from leading organizations to share their perspectives on developing logistics capabilities to enhance competitiveness. These include: Mr. Nopporn Thepsitha, Honorary Dean of the College of Logistics and Supply Chain, Sripatum University, who will deliver a special lecture on "Logistics 4.0: The Next Challenge for Thailand"; Dr. Chumphol Saicheua, Secretary-General of the Thai Trucking Association; and representatives from the Logistics Management Excellence Award (ELMA) committee, who will participate in a panel discussion on "Transforming Logistics Mindset for Excellence in the New Era".

In addition, Mr. Jirobhat Thanachotikiriti, a representative of the ELMA Award Committee, gave a presentation on "Technology, Opportunities and Challenges in the Era of Intelligent Logistics". The seminar was also attended by experts from the logistics industry and ELMA award-winning logistics providers, including Mr. Ratchan Chaiwattanant, Director of the Logistics Research and Operations Center, Sripatum University, and ELMA Award Committee representatives Mr. Chalermsak Kanchanavorin, Managing Director of Hashchem Logistics Management Co., Ltd., Mr. Udom Srisongkram, Managing Director of V. Cargo Co., Ltd., Mr. Natthaphum Paowarat, Executive Director and Director of Corporate Strategy, JWD Infologistics Co., Ltd. (Public Company Limited), and Mr. Kettivit Sitthisunthavong, Chief Executive Officer of Leo Global Logistics Co., Ltd. (Public Company Limited).
