This trip is about embracing freedom and spontaneity, like the iconic Hollywood film Thelma & Louise, starring Geena Davis and Susan Sarandon. The movie's portrayal of a liberating road trip resonates deeply, even after two decades since its release.

This travel adventure wasn't a dramatic, action-packed movie. It was simply two friends escaping the daily grind for a day of carefree exploration. They embraced spontaneity, laughing off mistakes like driving in circles, getting lost, and arriving at destinations only to find them closed or disappointing. Their motto was "go with the flow and enjoy the ride," and that's exactly what they did.

This morning, I set my sights on Lopburi Province, a place I frequently visited three years ago. The journey from Bangkok is only about 150 kilometers, making it possible for a short morning-to-evening getaway. Notably, the King Narai the Great Fair, which preserves and promotes Thai culture, is a popular event held every February, attracting people from all over who want to dress in traditional Thai attire and experience life as it was in the past. The fair has just concluded, so those who wish to attend will have to wait until next year. Similar to the "Warmth of Love, Dispelling the Cold" event, which evokes a nostalgic Thai atmosphere and runs until March 11th, the King Narai the Great Fair offers a unique cultural experience. Oh, my lord, if you wish to go, you may do so. ..Oops, I accidentally used a phrase from a popular drama. 555

In the province of Lopburi, there are many interesting tourist attractions, such as the San Phra Kan Shrine, Phra Prang Sam Yot, Wat Phra Si Rattana Mahathat, Phra Narai Ratchaniwet Palace, King Narai National Museum, Pa Sak Cholasit Dam, and sunflower fields.

This trip was planned for the sunflower field at Khao Chin Lae. After reading reviews and seeing pictures, it looked amazing, so I decided to check it out. I've been to Lopburi many times before, but I've never been able to visit this sunflower field, especially to take pictures with the sunflowers! But in the end, I was disappointed again (for the second time). (The first time was three years ago on a sunflower-chasing trip at the end of December 2014, and I couldn't find any sunflowers either.) Even though I chose to visit in early January 2018 this time, I guess I'll have to call and ask about tourist attractions before heading out next time. But it's okay. This time, I told myself that whatever happens, it's fine. I won't be too serious even if I come here and am disappointed.

Despite the initial disappointment, we were ultimately able to find joy in the vibrant yellow cosmos (ดอกดาวกระจาย) that blanketed the vast fields surrounding the Chinese Lantern Festival.

Upon arriving at the entrance of Khao Chin Lae Temple, we were greeted by the sight of tourists taking photos amidst a field of vibrant yellow flowers that defied the blazing sun, surrounding the valley. The scene was truly breathtaking! However, the place was packed with people. We were quite excited, wondering what the occasion was, as we hadn't read anything about it beforehand. Luckily, we were determined to enjoy our trip regardless. "No sunflowers… only cosmos flowers…" we thought, "well, they're yellow too!" We decided to join the crowd and take some photos. Afterwards, we looked for a parking spot in front of the "Kra Pao & Coffee" shop. There were a decent number of spaces available, or we could have parked along the roadside and walked. Fortunately, someone was leaving just as we arrived, so we were able to park right away.

We were among the tourists who spent a considerable amount of time taking selfies and playful photos. We were captivated by the stunning natural scenery of the mountains and the remarkable sight of the **bamboo bridge extending deep into the flower field**. This bridge was recently added by the shop in late 2017 to allow tourists to get up close and personal with the cosmos flowers. The panoramic views of the surrounding mountains from the bridge create a unique and picturesque angle that is unmatched.

A New Tourist Destination in Lopburi: Immerse Yourself in a Sea of Cosmos Flowers

This newly established tourist attraction in Lopburi welcomes visitors to experience a genuine field of naturally grown cosmos flowers. The flowers are planted directly in the soil, creating a breathtaking and authentic natural landscape.

In addition to the captivating floral display, local vendors offer a variety of snacks, meals, and souvenirs for purchase. This provides an opportunity for visitors to support the local community while enjoying their leisure time.

The cosmos flowers are expected to bloom until March, making it an ideal weekend getaway destination. By visiting this attraction, tourists can contribute to the local economy while immersing themselves in the beauty of nature.

Note: It is recommended to check the blooming period before visiting, as the cultivation process takes approximately 45 days.

After capturing the beauty of the cosmos flower field, we ventured further into the serene grounds of Wat Weluwan (Khao Chin Lae), a mere 2 kilometers away. As we gently ascended the hill, we were greeted by a captivating sight: over 100 peacocks roaming freely within the temple grounds. These majestic birds, adorned with vibrant plumage, gracefully strutted around, adding an enchanting touch to the sacred space.

As we drove through the temple, we were cautioned to exercise utmost care and respect for the peacocks. Their presence demanded our undivided attention, and we couldn't help but marvel at their elegance and grace. To our delight, we witnessed a peacock performing its mesmerizing courtship display, spreading its tail feathers in a breathtaking spectacle. Although we were tempted to join the dance, we opted to admire the show from the safety of our vehicle.

Upon exiting the temple, we were met with a breathtaking vista: endless fields of sunflowers stretching as far as the eye could see. The vibrant yellow hues painted a stunning landscape, creating a picture-perfect moment. The beauty of the sunflowers, coupled with the enchanting encounter with the peacocks, made our visit to Wat Weluwan an unforgettable experience.

Although the sunflowers have all wilted and turned away from the sun today, a single representative remains standing to welcome us. Undeterred, we continue our search for beautiful photo angles to capture the atmosphere of the fields and the scenic roads amidst the valley.

This trip was a different kind of vibe, but just as enjoyable. We focused on having fun and laughing, without getting angry or stressed. We didn't drive recklessly like in the movie Thelma & Louise, but we returned home with happy hearts and plenty of beautiful photos. ^^

This trip was a test of our new perspectives and trust in ourselves. Just like in real life, sometimes we don't find what we hope for, but we might find something else to replace it. As long as we accept it, we can easily find small joys. ... As for the experience of visiting the **Cosmos flower field at the entrance of Khao Chin Lae, Lop Buri Province**, it is located at the entrance of **Wat Weluwan** or **Wat Khao Chin Lae** in Moo 6, Nikhom Sang Ton Eng Subdistrict, Mueang District, Lop Buri Province. ^^ #**CosmosKhaoChinLae #LopBuriTravel #FlowerFieldTrip #NewTouristAttraction #YellowFlowers #FlowersBloomingInTheValley #CosmosField #YellowCosmos #WatWeluwan #LonelyDay #JustGo #SmilingDay #TravelForTwo #Soulmate #TravelAsYouWish #AuntieTravels**
