One night at Khun Sathan National Park, it was very cold. If you want to take a morning shower, it must be after 10 am. And if you want to take a shower in the evening, you must take it before 3 pm. We traveled during the rainy season on September 19, 2018, and the weather was cold at only 18 degrees Celsius. The fog descended from early evening, but we could still see the stars. We stayed one night here before continuing our journey to visit Sapan Village the next day. I will write a review and post it later. Khun Sathan National Park is located in San Ta Subdistrict, Na Noi District, Nan Province, at an altitude of approximately 1,424 meters above sea level. Along the way to the park, there are beautiful scenic views, including a magnificent sea of fog. The weather here is cold all year round. At night, you can see millions of stars in the sky. The road is paved throughout, with not many curves, so even small cars can easily navigate it. The road is not very steep, so you can drive and enjoy the beautiful scenery on both sides of the road all the way. Tonight, we are sleeping here without paying for accommodation because we are sleeping in our car. There are bathrooms and electricity to charge our batteries. There are park rangers on duty to ensure our safety. During this period, the park is renovating its existing accommodations and building new ones. However, you can still visit and stay here. You should book your accommodation in advance. But if you have a tent, that's even better because there is a designated area for camping. What can you do here? You can watch the sea of fog, enjoy the sunrise in the morning, stargaze, see the Milky Way, and experience the cold weather. In winter, it gets very cold here, with the lowest temperature being 2 degrees Celsius. We came during the rainy season, and it was 18 degrees Celsius, which was cold enough to make us shiver. There are many places to visit, but we will stop by Khun Sathan Headwaters Station. You can continue your trip to Doi Samer Dao or visit Nan city.

Where will I sleep tonight?

The fog is very thick, even though it's still early evening.

The day we went, there were no other tourists, just the two of us.
