Ever since COVID hit Thailand, I heard that destinations were healing themselves. Beaches, jungles, and marine life, all were gaining life again.

So when I found out that Koh Larn, an island near Pattaya, was becoming a popular spot for day and night trips (as it was always with tourists) I decided I need to go before it became crowded again. Before its beaches and aqua-colored water were tainted again.

Together with a Thai friend, we journeyed to Koh Larn in the morning. The plan was to take the ferry. It's cheaper. But when we got there, the speedboat vendors insisted we go with them. It was just 100B each and 3x faster. After thinking for a while, we figured, why not?

When we got on the island, the first thing we did was rent a motorbike and ate some food. Then we hopped on the bike and went exploring. My main goal was to take some drone photos. My friend suggested that we go to Tien Beach.

Here's what I took there.

I particularly liked the rocks at the far end of the beach. So, I flew my drone there to get some close-up shots. I also took a walk there as I love to climb over these rocks

Then I noticed a pair of people who were kayaking and paddleboarding. This was a nice scene and a perfect opportunity to get some cool shots.

Ohhh another one joined the fray.

Then I decided to take the drone a bit higher and see what is on the other side of the island from the beach. That there was the main pier alongside Tawaen beach. Beyond it, is a settlement of homes and resorts.

If you look closer, you can see the Pattaya coastline in the distance.

Hi there speadboat. Wonder if you can take us back to Pattaya?
