A wild, fun, and hilarious trip...just in Phuket, you can get jet lag.

3 days 2 nights Phuket city tour, diving at Similan Islands, visit the white sand beach at Koh Tachai

This trip is all about fun… The gang has 6 members, all of them are hot girls…

The trip started off with a laugh. We flew with AirAsia, getting a round-trip ticket for 890 baht. We chose the earliest flight, which took off at 6:20 am. We arrived at the gate at 6:10 am and had to take a bus to the plane, which was quite a distance away. As soon as we arrived, the ground staff said, "Here they are, they've arrived!"

Let's focus on the pictures. On the first day, we traveled around Phuket Town, almost the entire province, from the airport to Laem Phromthep. The weather was hot, sunny, and traffic was heavy. We were quite tired, but it went according to plan. After picking up our car at the airport, we rented it from Phuket Aura, a local company. No deposit was required, and it cost 1,000 baht per day. Khun Priew was very kind and friendly. After settling the car, we headed to our first stop, making merit and offering alms at Wat Phra Thong or Wat Phra Phut. We wanted to get a good start on our trip. Before the trip, everyone kept asking if we were really going, if there was a storm, and if we had bad luck. It was like a gecko chirping before we left the house, making us a little uneasy. The temple is not far from the airport on the way into Phuket Town. The signs are quite clear, but we ended up making a U-turn anyway.

Rough travel plan

Driving straight into the city, we will reach the monument of Thao Thep and Thao Sri. We stopped to pay our respects first, which is located right at the roundabout. There will be 1 point closed at the roundabout, making it impossible for cars to go around the roundabout. We were confused and didn't know where to park. We ended up parking in front of the Add Khao Man Gai restaurant, which was just in time as we were hungry. The owner of this restaurant is really lovely. Next to the restaurant, there is a shop selling flowers for worship. The main road, crossing the road, there are no bridges, which is quite inconvenient.

The actual distance from the Victory Monument to the city center is less than 10 kilometers. However, on the day we went, which was December 9th, there was a political rally going on that was heading to the provincial hall, which was on our route. It took us almost an hour to get there. We then continued on to the old town of Phuket. We drove straight ahead and arrived at the clock tower intersection, which we understood to be a landmark of the old town. We looked up a walking map on Google and got the following image: We just walked around, stopping at various shops and restaurants along the way. The tuk-tuks here are very cute, with a variety of colors including red, yellow, green, and pink. We passed by the On On Hotel, which seems to be the first hotel in Phuket Town?

But what I really want to go to is the legendary Kopi Tiam.

Turn around according to the map, it will be on Pink Road, Thalang Road, Soi Rommanee.

At that time, I wanted something cold and to sit down and rest. But the recommended menu was something like Hokkien fried noodles. I didn't want to waste the trip, so I ordered it to try. But I had just eaten rice, so I couldn't finish it. 6 people, 2 plates of fried noodles, not finished. I wonder if the owner will be sad.

Activities for the trip: Find postcards and send them. There are many shops with different styles, so choose what you like.

Walk a little further down Soi Rommanee and you will find the Tourist Service Center. There is a model of the old town there, where you can take a break. Walk a little further and you will find the legendary alley, Soi Rommanee. It is very colorful, with yellow and pink contrasting with the clear sky. It is very beautiful. It is a pity that the legendary VW Beetle is sleeping under a cover.

We went back to get the car parked in front of the Siam Hotel near the Clock Tower landmark. Then we drove past the Phuket Thai Hua Museum, but didn't go inside. It's a museum about the Chinese people in Phuket. We took a few photos and then continued on to the Khao Rang Viewpoint.

The plan was to visit the Tung Ka Coffee shop and enjoy the view of Phuket town. The drive up the hill was gentle, and there were quite a few tourists around.

Following the review to the letter, hehe... The weather was quite hot, so we only stayed at the top for a short while. The original plan was to go eat Mi Ton Pho and then honey toast at Cake Box, so we chose a route that would pass both. But at that time, we were already very full, and after going down the mountain, we completely forgot. I just remembered, haha. ^^ According to the plan, we intended to go see the viewpoint at Khao Khad and the viewpoint at Laem Panwa. However, we received information that they were off the beaten path and the view was not much different from Khao Rang, so we decided to skip those two places and head to Wat Chalong, also known as Wat Chai Tharamaram, to pay respects to Luang Pho Chaem. This trip was mainly focused on making merit, as we were still feeling uneasy... The temple is large and very beautiful. Chinese, Korean, and Japanese tour groups happened to be there, so it was very crowded and the weather was also very hot. It was quite tiring, to be honest. At this point, we got on and off the bus, but it was worth it. We took in everything, every place we passed.

We didn't stop by the Big Buddha temple. It's located on the way from Wat Chalong to the Three Beaches viewpoint. The road leading up to it looked scary, and we weren't confident in our driving skills, so we decided to skip it. Little did we know that the road to the Three Beaches viewpoint was just as steep and winding. We were sweating bullets! After passing through the resort areas of Kata and Karon, we saw the sign for the Foto Hotel. We only saw the sign, though. We kept driving, making a few wrong turns along the way, until we finally arrived at our destination.

"Friendship arises with travel" .. I met a Chinese couple who asked me to take a picture of them with their phone. They were so cute, so I asked permission to take a picture with my camera and send it to them. Consider it a gift from Thailand. Hehe

From that point to Laem Phromthep, it's only a few kilometers. The road is similar, just keep driving. You'll see many shops selling things along the way. Of course, we arrived... To be sure, we asked the students who were on a field trip again, just in case. And it turned out to be true: parking was very difficult to find. We arrived around 5:00 pm, and the view was just beautiful. When we arrived, there weren't many people, but then, out of nowhere, it was packed. It was almost impossible to take a picture without seeing the cape jutting out.

The sunset is very beautiful, very clear. At Promthep Cape, it will be the last point to see the sunset, right? !! I didn't check the time at all, but I really like the last light, especially during dusk/twilight. The sky has many colors, blue, navy, indigo, pink, red. We forgot to eat grilled squid at Promthep Cape. Anyone who is going to, please try it for us ... ^^

Our destination is Patong Beach. We were tasked with finding a restaurant along the way. We searched the internet and found Mali Seafood at Kata Beach, but we also heard that Chai Si Mee Kiew was a good option. We were starving! In Phuket, there are convenience stores called Supersheep, similar to 7-Eleven and Family Mart. However, we heard that they are much cheaper. We stopped by and bought a lot of snacks and drinks, and they even gave us free meatballs. We were even hungrier now! Google Maps said it would take about 20 minutes to reach our destination. Okay, let's go! It took a while to find the restaurant, and when we finally did, it turned out to be a seafood fusion place. We weren't really into it, but we managed to get through another meal.

We stayed at Patong Beach, but we haven't been to the beach yet. Before checking into the hotel, we stopped by Patong Beach to dip our feet in the water and drove past Bangla Road, which was very crowded and didn't feel like we were in Thailand. We were going to pass through Jungceylon shopping mall, but we didn't know which way to go. The road on Google Maps was closed for a walking street, and it was almost 10 pm. We had to wake up early the next morning, so we decided to go back to the hotel.

We booked a hotel through Agoda because we didn't know that the pier and Patong were so far apart. And Patong is a nightlife area, something like that. In the end, we stayed in Patong, but we didn't see Patong life during the day. And at night, we only saw it in flashes.

Day 1 of the trip is over. It was very tiring. We planned to have a group activity at night, but after taking a shower, everyone passed out...

Good morning on the 2nd day of our trip. Today we will go snorkeling at the Similan Islands with Love Andaman.

We met at 5:30 am, borrowed a towel from the hotel and were ready to leave around 6:00 am. Hehe.

Driving out of Patong, you will pass through the bypass, a newly built road. However, it is quite steep and winding, with sharp curves. It's a slow drive, and according to Google Maps, the 100 km journey takes about 1 hour and 40 minutes. In the morning, we were hungry, but there was nothing to eat. We didn't find a gas station until after the Sarasin Bridge, entering Phang Nga. There was nothing at the gas station, so we continued to the pier. We got lost a few times, but we called the officials for directions. In reality, getting to the pier was very easy. We just drove straight and arrived. There is a landmark, an unfinished Bangchak gas station at the large intersection.

This place has its own check-in point. They also provide breakfast, including tea, coffee, and bread. Tourists wait here before boarding the boat. They will be given colored wristbands for each boat and trip.

Before boarding the boat, there will be a brief tour briefing. The guides are very friendly and approachable. Once on board, Thai people will be given priority to choose their seats before foreigners. The staff recommends sitting at the front of the boat to avoid seasickness. No need to worry about getting tanned!

The boat ride takes approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes to reach Koh Si, one of the ten islands in the Similan Islands. At this point, you will disembark and walk to the white sand beach, where you can swim and enjoy lunch. In the afternoon, you will go snorkeling at two points and then end the trip at Sail Rock, the symbol of the Similan Islands.

Before playing in the water, we took photos until we were satisfied ... Thank you, guide, for taking beautiful photos for us .... We had lunch surrounded by nature. The food was delicious, everything was delicious. They fed us well. There were snacks, milk, and butter in full. ....

Let's rest for a bit before boarding the boat, just enough for the food to settle so we don't feel bloated. Then, we'll hop on the boat and head to the diving spot at Koh 8 Koh 9. This is the viewpoint of the Similan Islands, Hin Ruea Bo.

Only one of us knew how to swim, so for safety reasons, we were equipped with "lifebuoys" hahaha. The diving guide led us by holding onto the lifebuoys and breathing through our mouths. We just looked at the beautiful coral reefs and that was it... We were nicknamed the "Lifebuoy Gang/Lifebuoy Gang".

At this point, our members are getting drunk on the waves… take good care of each other. Let them sit and rest on the boat while the others continue diving… Exhausted!!!

I learned a useful tip for those who get seasick or motion sick: look up at the sky, don't bend down, and don't close your eyes, as this will only make you feel worse. Instead, use cold water or ice to compress the back of your neck. This will help you feel better.

The second dive site is not far from the Sail Rock.

We had to hike up the mountain, climbing rocks all the way to the viewpoint. It was absolutely stunning.

This is the end of the trip.

We went down to play in the water and ate delicious coconut ice cream. On average, we ate 3-4 cones each, so our gang became a big eating gang. When we got on the boat, we all went to sleep separately. When we arrived at the pier, we all went to take a shower because we were tired. Hehe.

....

Okay, for those who are coming with the love andaman service car, it is recommended that you take a shower and wash yourself before coming from Similan Island. There is only 1 shower room at the pier. The car will not wait, but we came by ourselves, so we can take our time. ...

....

Tonight's dinner is set to follow the review at "Laem Hin Seafood"... It's conveniently located on the way back to the hotel, so it's not a hassle.

Stir-fried prawns with tamarind sauce, Steamed squid with lime, Mussels, Scallops, Fried fish with herbs, Spicy salad (can't remember exactly what it was). It was delicious! The restaurant was big and full of people. But in that area, there's also Krua Vithi Science Raft, which I also recommend. You have to take a short boat ride to get there...

This concludes the second day of the trip.

Good morning on the 3rd day of the trip... Today we will visit the land of the chicken crab, Koh Tachai...

We met at 5:30 am and set off at 6:00 am as usual. But since we knew the route a bit better, we were a bit faster than yesterday. We stopped to buy some deep-fried dough sticks and soybean milk to fill our stomachs. We found a gas station faster than before, and the Amazon Cafe was already open. It was almost 7:00 am then. Life seemed better than yesterday...

I'm planning to stop by the Sarasin Bridge first today. Just a quick stop.

The bridge is beautiful, but there are giant turtle eggs in the area. We couldn't find them and were late getting back to the pier, so we had to leave.

.....

We arrived at the port quite early today, and the food line wasn't ready yet. So our group decided to open a salon instead...

.....

Today I went with the same group of guides as yesterday, who we already knew. We also got purple wristbands.

Let's go .. Chai !!!

Hehe, the usual spot at the front of the boat...

It takes about 1.30 minutes by boat. Koh Tachai is a newly discovered island, making it the 10th island in the Similan Islands archipelago. It has a seasonal opening and closing period. The beach has fine white sand, clear water, and beautiful blue skies. It is an island with a high degree of natural integrity. The chicken crab is a symbol of its abundance, and it can only be found here.

.....

We have arrived at "Koh Tachai". It's so beautiful, the water is so clear.

We went diving before going up to the beach. The coral reefs in this area are beautiful, with a variety of fish and more abundant than the 8-9 islands area in our opinion. Beautiful, I like it.

We were able to stay underwater for a long time. Everyone came up to the surface and then we continued to the beach. It's difficult to get the boat in right now because there are a lot of rocks. It's close, but it takes a while. The captain is very skilled. ...

We arrived at the island and ate right away. Hehe, I love the food line. They pay attention to the small details, which is great. I'm impressed. The food was delicious, especially the ice cream.

.....

After eating and drinking, we went for a walk in the forest to get rid of our drowsiness... Let's go say hello to the coconut crabs... Coconut crabs, which live in the sea, are shy and like to sleep under trees. They come out to feed at night. The sound of their claws snapping is loud, like a chicken, hence the name. They don't like loud noises, so please don't make any noise while walking in the forest. Don't use flash either... The male has one claw that is larger than the other, and it is more difficult to find than the female. The female has two claws of equal size, and there are more of them... The first one we met was a male, lucky! But it's a pity we didn't see it walking on the beach, so we couldn't get a picture....

At the entrance to the forest, we encountered emerald snails, which are only found here. They are only found in truly pristine forests.

Emerging from the forest onto the beach, the white sand was so bright it stung my eyes. I had forgotten to bring my sunglasses that day, and my eyes were burning…

The beach is really beautiful, the sand is super fine, beautiful, I like it .....

We are practicing eco-tourism. We walk along the beach and collect the garbage that has washed up on the island. It's fun! We want Koh Tachai to remain a white sand beach with fiddler crabs like this.

A foreign man made it for his girlfriend who was playing in the water. He said he wanted to surprise her. It was very cute. ^^ On our way back from Koh Tachai, near the pier, we encountered a little rain, not too heavy. There were water police to look after us, so we felt at ease. Once we reached the shore, we took a shower. We were very impressed with Love Andaman.

Before boarding the plane, I stopped by this seafood restaurant again. We followed the road, no destination, passed the Sarasin Bridge, and found a restaurant whose name I can't remember. I apologize. It's a local Muslim restaurant, no pork. We don't care, we focus on seafood. We were impressed. It was delicious.

...

The total distance we drove back and forth is over 500 kilometers. LOL, jet lag, right?

We returned the car at 9 pm. We did a great job with the timing, but we didn't fill the tank all the way before returning it. The scale went down by about half. We used to fill it up with 1000, so we paid and left it with the owner. They were really nice.
