May's Traveller

A small house in the middle of a large forest, just 5 kilometers from the center of Ranong.

To be honest, I fell in love with this place from the entrance. It's just a few meters after turning into the alley.

The verdant forests and towering mountains gradually came into view, with occasional streams meandering through the landscape, offering a refreshing sight.

As I rode in the car, I couldn't help but think how beautiful and peaceful this place must be, with such a wonderful natural environment.

We passed a few resorts and then turned according to the car's navigation, but we were confused and wondered if this was the right place.

The entrance lacks even a sign reading "House in the Mist," just an ordinary orange iron gate.

However, upon entering, we were slightly excited because we had to drive across a stream.

Upon arrival, we entered the house and encountered Mr. Golf, the owner, in the living room.

After speaking with Mr. Golf, he informed me that the establishment is currently in its pre-opening phase.

The official opening is likely to take place next year.

There are currently 4 houses available for rent.

Wooden balcony house Loft cabin / 2,450 Baht

This house is where we stayed. It is a wooden house with one and a half floors. The upper floor is a mezzanine that can accommodate one person.

Private Garden House at Baan Rabeang Nam - 2,650

This concrete house is located right by the weir, making it incredibly convenient for swimming. The rooms are spacious and comfortable.

Suitable for families with elderly and children.

Eco-friendly wooden cabin / 1,950

A newly built wooden house with a spacious terrace.

The bathroom is separate from the bedroom, which has a bunk bed. This house is absolutely adorable.

Eco canvas camp Tent on wooden platform / 1,950

The latest animal is a tent, but not a chicken coop.

A spacious tent with a bed, pillows, mosquito net, and fan, ensuring a comfortable night's sleep comparable to home.

This unit boasts an expansive private terrace with breathtaking views.

The separate room is a private bathroom for the tent, and it also has a bathtub.

The bathroom is open-air but has a transparent roof, so it's not completely exposed.

I peeked in and really liked the water. Can I sleep in the bathroom? Lol.

In addition to the four houses, there are many other charming houses.

This treehouse is a landmark of Ban Mong.

The place looks very comfortable to sleep in, but Mr. Golf said that it is not open for accommodation. However, you can go upstairs.

Each room has its own unique features. Please do not ask us which room is the best for you.

Based on the information and images provided, you can make your own decision. If you ask me, I wouldn't be able to choose, as I would like to stay at all of them!

Throughout our stay, we did not receive the service one would expect from a 5-star resort. However, it is important to note that this is not a criticism.

However, we will receive a warm welcome, and we will feel very private throughout our stay here.

The limited number of rooms may contribute to the lack of crowds.

In the afternoon, we will have green tea with pickled tea leaves, a traditional Burmese dish that I once tried on the island of Koh Ta Fuk.

The taste is not to my liking, but Golf told me beforehand that the food here is delicious.

"When the Burmese waitress came to serve, I couldn't resist trying it. It was truly delicious! The taste is much more suited to the Thai palate than when I was on the island."

I like the crunchy texture of the ingredients, but the flavor is not as strong as traditional Thai yum.

The adorable server brought us a basket of delicious treats, including a charming teapot that we particularly admired. We may consider purchasing one for ourselves.

There is one receptionist here, and you read that right, just one.

Besides being a receptionist, he is the star of the show here.

That's a giant but friendly Labrador retriever.

In addition, the world's best free diver, a dog that dives so well that it puts humans to shame.

Despite their typically calm demeanor, hippos exhibit a remarkable adrenaline rush when encountering rocks. This surge of excitement prompts them to leap into the water and showcase their impressive diving abilities.

I am Hippo.

Everyone loves hippos.

.....

The stream that flows in front of the house can be used for tubing during periods of high water flow.

However, due to recent rainfall, the water level was sufficient for play in some areas, but in others, it was still too low.

The journey was arduous, with frequent bumps, jolts, and scrapes. The constant impact against rocks left my backside sore and bruised.

Some of you might have sore butts after returning home. 55555 But it was fun. If there was more water, it would have been even better.

The scenery along the way would be beautiful if it weren't for the obstacles. We could have been chilling out, floating on inflatable rings and enjoying the view.

"Baan Nai Mong's" breakfast is a cute little box of rice porridge.

After coffee, we decided to sit and sip it by the hot spring pond.

The white pools seen in the picture are hot springs heated by burning charcoal.

Just thinking about it makes me happy. Look at the view. It's a pity we didn't let them know in advance so we couldn't soak.

If you come here, you will easily fall in love with this place. It is not just a house by the stream, but also the care of the owner here.

The meticulous attention to detail, even the smallest ones, creates a warm and inviting atmosphere.

The atmosphere here is amazing. Let's end with a picture of the house in Mong.

Travel: When coming from Bangkok, after passing Punyabala Waterfall and entering Ranong City, look to your right-hand side.

When you see Big C, prepare to stay on the left lane. As you drive, you will see a Caltex gas station. Turn on your left turn signal.

Enter the alley with the sign in front that says "Samnak Song Tham 7 Thot" or "The Hidden Resort". It's the same alley.

Continue driving straight for about 2 kilometers. Look for a red-orange gate.

Look inside and you will see a concrete path with a stream flowing through it. That's the one.

Or simply, the method we use most often in the three worlds, just click on this link and follow it, that's all.
