Let's go to Mon Chong! The trip to confess my love to him happened suddenly, less than a week before the trip. It was a very urgent decision. Because there wasn't much time to prepare and get in shape, but that wasn't a problem for me. If my legs can't go, my heart can. It is said that Mon Chong is suitable for beginners who are starting to hike because the trail is not too difficult. The distance is about 4 kilometers and it takes about 3-4 hours to walk, depending on the physical strength of each person.

On the day of our trip, we packed our belongings into our backpacks and set off for the meeting point. After an 8-9 hour drive, the van took us to the Omkoi Wildlife Sanctuary, Musee Unit, to contact the officials who would arrange for a car and porters to take us up to Mon Jong. After completing the necessary arrangements, we prepared our luggage, including food, water, tents, and sleeping bags, and got into a four-wheel drive vehicle that took us to the starting point of our 16-kilometer hike. This section of the road required a four-wheel drive vehicle and a highly skilled driver due to the rough, narrow, and winding gravel road along the cliff edge. The road was incredibly rough, and our internal organs felt like they were being rearranged with every bump and bounce. It was a painful and hilarious experience. 😭😂

The trail meandered through stunning scenery, offering captivating views at every turn. The terrain was relatively easy, making it ideal for novice hikers embarking on their first wilderness adventure.

The trail is not too steep and is easy to walk. As you walk and enjoy the scenery, you will soon reach the campsite, where there is a small stream for washing your face and brushing your teeth. After storing your belongings in the tent, you can walk to the highest point of Doi Mon Jong, called "Head of the Lion" because it resembles a lion's head. The path to the top of the Head of the Lion offers breathtaking panoramic views and fresh, clean air. The sky is filled with mist, and the air is cold and crisp. It is advisable to bring warm clothes as it can be very windy.

As the sun began to set, casting long shadows across the landscape, we made our way to the precipice known as Pha Huasing. The air grew thick with anticipation as we approached the edge, the vast expanse of the world below stretching out before us. The fading light painted the sky in hues of orange and purple, creating a breathtaking spectacle that seemed to mirror the emotions swirling within us. With each step, the weight of our journey seemed to lift, replaced by a sense of awe and wonder. As we stood at the precipice, the wind whispered secrets in our ears, carrying with it the stories of those who had come before us. In that moment, we felt a profound connection to the land and its history, a connection that transcended time and space. And as the last rays of sunlight disappeared below the horizon, we knew that this was a moment we would cherish forever.
