The journey to Phato began approximately 100 kilometers from the city center. While the fog is usually dense, it was somewhat less so this year. Nonetheless, the air remained pleasant as usual. Upon arrival, we secured a free tent camping spot in front of the district office, complete with bathroom facilities. We had booked the campsite in advance and then proceeded to board the raft at Pak Phan.

The next step is to register with the district office. The fee is 300 baht per person, which includes lunch. Let's go!

The atmosphere while rafting is relaxing and not scary. Children are welcome and life jackets are provided. The raft guides ensure your safety, so you can rest assured.

The journey from the starting point to the district office took about 2 hours on a raft. The weather was pleasant, the sun was not too hot, and everyone had a great time soaking in the water.

After disembarking from the raft, the district office provided us with local food. However, we were so hungry that we forgot to take pictures. We then went to take a shower. We had some time left before the evening free food event. There was a beautiful waterfall about 10 km away called Haew Lom Waterfall. We went there.

After a refreshing dip in the waterfall, we checked on our tents and waited for the free meal.

6:00 PM. It's time to open the city to eat for free. The table is full of people like every year.

After enjoying the free food from over 70 booths set up in each village, an annual tradition, it was time to rest for the night in our tents.

The weather is pleasant, not too cold. This year, there is not as much fog as in previous years. It was very cold last year. Waking up in the morning feeling refreshed, let's fly up and capture some high-angle shots of the morning.

After enjoying a leisurely morning coffee, we continued our journey to the Phato Watershed Management Project, located 12 km from the district on the way to Ranong. We planned to visit Ranong as well, so this was a convenient stop on our route.
