DAY 1:

Embark on a scenic drive from Bangkok towards the breathtaking Phu Hin Rong Kla National Park. The journey takes approximately 5-6 hours, culminating at the park's headquarters.

Phu Hin Rong Kla boasts two accessible entrances: one via Phu Thap Boek in Lom Kao district and the other through Nakhon Thai district in Phitsanulok province. Notably, Highway 2331 (Lom Kao-Nakhon Thai) traverses the heart of the park, facilitating convenient access for visitors. This strategic location allows for exploration of various attractions conveniently situated along the main road.

Our first stop is the Political and Military School, located at the 4th kilometer marker. In 1970, it was shrouded in dense jungle and served as the headquarters for the three provinces of Loei, Phetchabun, and Phitsanulok. In 1977, it was established as a school to provide education based on communist ideology. If you visit during January, you will be greeted by the sight of maple leaves changing color and falling onto the old wooden houses, creating a picturesque scene reminiscent of a foreign country.

The second destination is the "Nature Study Trail: Button Rock - Flag Rock".

This route takes approximately 2 hours and requires walking.

The trail offers a diverse array of flora, unique geological formations, and historical significance. After a 30-minute walk, you will reach "Hin Pum" (Pimple Rock), a rock formation with numerous protrusions. This formation is believed to be the result of natural erosion and indicates that this area was once a deep sea millions of years ago before rising to become the plateau it is today.

The "Flagstaff Cliff" is about 500 meters ahead.

The steep cliffs offer breathtaking panoramic views.

It also offers stunning sunset views, making it one of the most picturesque spots in the park.

Walk and take pictures.

As the evening approaches, visitors can enter the park to set up their tents. The camping fee is 30 baht per person per night. Tents are also available for rent from the tourist service center, with prices ranging from 200 to 800 baht. This includes sleeping bags, sleeping mats, and blankets. The restrooms are separated by gender and are exceptionally clean.

DAY 2 :
Wake up early and pack up the tent. Then, go to Phu Phaeng Ma to watch the sunrise before returning to pack up the tent at Phu Phaeng Ma.

This is the highest viewpoint in Phu Hin Rong Kla National Park.

1,775 meters above sea level, the view ahead is a winding road.

Located approximately 400 meters from the entrance of the park on the right-hand side, Ban Nam Piang Din village is a mandatory stop for travelers en route to Phu Thap Boek and Phu Hin Rong Kla National Parks.

There is a path leading to a scenic viewpoint called "Phu Phaeng Ma." The entrance is easy to miss, as this is a newly opened tourist spot in Phu Hin Rong Kla National Park. The road leading up is quite challenging due to its steepness and red clay surface. Only four-wheel drive vehicles can make the ascent. As we bounced along in the back of the truck, we never expected to be rewarded with the most breathtaking view in Phu Hin Rong Kla. The panoramic vista before us displayed a battle between swirling mist and radiant sunlight. The sight was so captivating that everyone exclaimed in awe, "Wow! How can it be so beautiful?"

After enjoying the sunrise, we grabbed a bite to eat in Phu Thap Boek while taking in the stunning scenery.

We then returned to pack up the tent (we left the tent site around 5 am, thinking we would come back later to pack it up, as we thought we wouldn't make it in time for the beautiful sunrise if we packed it up then. However, if anyone had time, they could have packed it up earlier, as it would have saved time driving around).

Our next stop is the Khao Kho Wind Farm.

The newest landmark of Khao Kho, located in the Phet Dam village area, Phetchabun province. When entering the camp area to go to the main tourist route on Khao Kho.

The wind turbines are easily visible due to their prominent location on a high hill, approximately 1,050 meters above sea level. The project site, spanning 350 rai on a plateau, offers panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.

There are many great photo spots.

Don't forget to stop by and take a picture.

The ultimate destination of this trip is Pino Latte Resort and Cafe, a stylish cafe converted from shipping containers with 180-degree mountain views. The cafe boasts a prominent view of the "Wat Phra That Pha Sorn Kaew" temple, standing majestically in the foreground. It is highly recommended to visit this cafe and check in on Facebook if you are traveling to Khao Kho.

Breathtaking view.

Enjoying the view while eating is the ultimate pleasure.

Abundant photo opportunities.
