Pattaya… on a Rainy Day

Day One

6:50 AM.
It's getting late...
I jumped out of bed quickly and took only ten minutes to shower and get dressed because I had an appointment with my friends to pick me up at my condo at 7:00 AM.
Today, my friends and I made a sudden plan to go on a chill trip to Pattaya because we worked hard all last month.
It's time to carry our cameras, put on our backpacks, and chill out!

7:30 AM

It was already 7:30 AM, and my friends were nowhere to be seen. . . .
In short, we all overslept and didn't meet up until almost 8:00 AM. We set off on our journey via Expressway No. 7, also known as the Motorway,
heading towards Pattaya. The drive was smooth, with only minor traffic jams, allowing us to reach Pattaya without being too late.

10:40 AM
This trip was very relaxing, with no planned itinerary. We started our trip with a visit to a trendy restaurant with affordable food and stunning million-dollar views, "THE SKY GALLERY." This popular restaurant is a must-visit for anyone coming to Pattaya. Although the prices are relatively high, the panoramic ocean views are worth every penny. The day we visited, it was drizzling, which surprisingly enhanced the experience. The rain cooled the air and created a refreshing breeze, making us want to lie down with a pillow and soak it all in.

After a delicious meal, it's time to satisfy our sweet tooth.
The Sky Gallery offers a wide variety of tempting desserts and drinks.
However, we decided to try a dessert shop recommended by a friend.
The shop is known for its delicious desserts and beautiful decor.
Conveniently, it's also located on the way back to our accommodation.
Without further ado, we set off to "L a B a g u e t t e" for some sweet treats.
The shop is located on the main road near the Dolphin Roundabout (North Pattaya).
It's easy to find and offers a wide selection of tempting desserts, including cakes, waffles, pastries, and beverages.
They even have main courses available.
Our goal today is to indulge in some delicious desserts, so let's get started!

2:30 PM
After a satisfying meal, we returned to our accommodation at the "A-ONE STAR HOTEL."
This is another hotel in the A-ONE chain. We chose this location for this trip because it is newly built, and the A-ONE name assures us of the quality of service and comfort we will receive.

The room we got today is a Super Star room with a balcony. It is spacious and has a balcony where we can relax outside. (Wait for me, little L, I'll go all out tonight) The room is designed in white tones, which is easy on the eyes. I'm going to take a nap before we go out to explore the nightlife of Pattaya. Z z z

A One Star offers a variety of room types, including:

1. Star Room: Approximately 17 square meters, ideal for couples or friends. Features twin beds.

Superior Star Room:

Slightly larger than the Star Room, at approximately 18 sqm, the Superior Star Room is ideal for couples or friends. It features twin beds, similar to the Star Room.

3. Super Star Room:
Approximately 25 square meters, this room boasts a beautiful view of the swimming pool and a work desk. It features a single bed measuring 6 feet.

4. Super Star with Balcony:
This room is the same size as the Super Star, at 25 sqm. The special feature of this room is the balcony, where you can relax and enjoy the fresh air.

5. Super Star Family (4 PAX):

This is the largest room, measuring approximately 28 square meters. It features two king-size beds.

5:00 PM (hungry)
Another popular seafood restaurant in Pattaya is "Poo Pen".
One of our members is allergic to shrimp, but that's not a problem. Poo Pen has other delicious dishes that are just as good as the shrimp menu.
Whether it's butter-baked scallops, fish curry, or crab meat dip (very delicious), you won't be disappointed at this restaurant.

20:00 hrs.

After a long wait, it was time to explore the nightlife of Pattaya's Walking Street, a popular entertainment hub bustling with both Thai and foreign tourists. However, our destination wasn't the scantily clad dance shows, but rather the temple fair at Wat Chaimongkol, located just one traffic light away from Walking Street. Coincidentally, we arrived during a major religious festival, offering a perfect opportunity to soak in the festive atmosphere.

The atmosphere resembled that of any typical temple fair, with stalls selling clothes, household items, food, and snacks not readily available in Bangkok. Various forms of entertainment were also present, including a Likay stage, a Ferris wheel, a "girl falling into water" game, motorcycle barrel climbing, and even a haunted house ("Twenty baht, brother, twenty baht").

After enjoying some snacks and browsing through the stalls, we realized it was almost midnight. We hailed a shared taxi for 10 baht each and headed back to our accommodation. Tomorrow, we plan to wake up early and enjoy a refreshing walk along the Pattaya beachfront. Good night! Zzz.

Day Two

8:00 AM
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. We couldn't miss trying the breakfast at A-ONE STAR.
The place feels like eating in a garden, spacious and there is also an air-conditioned room to sit in.
There is a wide variety of food to choose from. This morning's meal gets a 10/10/10.
After finishing eating, I went for a swim. The pool isn't very big, but it's big enough to swim and relax. I was only going to swim for a short while,
but I ended up swimming so much that I wanted to go back and have more breakfast. 555

10:30 AM
Before checking out, I decided to take a look at the fitness room that I had planned to use but didn't. After seeing it, I felt a lot of regret. It was a well-equipped gym, spacious, and even had trainers available to provide guidance. What a shame!

And finally, before returning to Bangkok…

Relax and unwind with a stroll along the beach, feeling the cool sea breeze and soaking up the atmosphere. This trip has been a chance to fully recharge and prepare for the working week ahead.

See you on the next adventure!

"Because life is a journey."
