Summer again!

Deep Dark Duck: A Summer Adventure in Pattaya

When summer arrives, most people think of the ocean, sandy beaches, gentle breezes, and clear skies. But today, I'm here to challenge that notion. Summer isn't just about the beach; there's another exciting activity that perfectly complements the season's heat: Deep Dark Duck.

Intrigued? Grab your coolest sunglasses and favorite surf shorts, and let's dive in!

Our journey began with a sunny drive from Bangkok to North Pattaya. In no time, we arrived at our destination. We opted for the A-One Star Hotel, a familiar choice from previous trips. Why? Because, as the saying goes, good things can be affordable. A-One exemplifies this perfectly. This budget-friendly hotel offers service and aesthetics on par with 5-star establishments. Plus, its prime location in the heart of Pattaya makes it convenient for grabbing a bite or taking a dip in the sea.

However, there's more to it than that… A-One is also the location of the Pool Party I'm about to take you to. We arrived at the hotel at noon, and while we waited to check in, we took a sneak peek at the event's surroundings.

The event runs from noon to midnight, so it's a long one! Tickets cost 1,600 baht, but there's a promotion: if you book a room and buy a ticket, it's only 2,800 baht. You'll get a bright yellow Duck-style wristband and a hangover cure.

The concept of the Deep Dark Duck event naturally features a giant duck as its symbol. However, this giant duck has a unique twist: it wears sunglasses, adding a touch of coolness to its appearance.

This year's Deep Dark Duck event will be held on April 28-29, 2017 at the A-One The Royal Cruise Hotel's beachfront pool. The event will feature live music from a variety of DJs, as well as swimming and dancing.

During the day, the beach is mainly occupied by foreign tourists, as Thai people tend to avoid direct sunlight. However, the loud music might eventually drive them away. In the meantime, let's check in and store our belongings. I'll do a few sit-ups to get my six-pack ready for the swim trunks, so I can compete with the others.

However, I accidentally fell asleep for almost 2 hours because the bed was so comfortable. #Oops #SoTired
For our pool party today, all we need are sunglasses, waterproof pouches, and brightly colored surf shorts.
Deep Dark Duck will take care of the rest.

4 pm. Wow... It seems like we're a bit late.
Because now there are so many Ducks in the pool. Where are we going to sit?
But don't worry.
The team has prepared enough tables and chairs for everyone around the pool.
Whether you come in twos, threes, fours, or even groups of ten.

Fortunately, there was no rain today. But why would we be afraid? We were going to get wet anyway.
Well, that's true. I chose to sit opposite the DJ booth because I personally like to watch the overall atmosphere of the event, along with the dazzling lights. It's like watching with your eyes and listening with your ears.
(Actually, it's more like being able to peek at the girls in a panoramic way. Haha!)
I thought the girls and guys here would be shy, but they were all out in full force. Everyone was having a great time.
All the drinks here are shaken with milk. Wow, it goes so well with the beat of the music.
I wish I had come to the last round.

The sun's reflection on the seawater gradually dimmed. It was like clapping hands with the light from LED bulbs and the excitement that kept increasing. The later it got, the more people there were, the more exciting the music was, and there was even smoke being released at intervals, adding to the atmosphere like being in a pub. This is the advantage of a pool party: you can dance (in the water) without having to worry about being hot. If you're hot, just jump into the pool, that's it.

The party must come to an end, and the seminar should also end early. Haha, unrelated.

I must say that right now (11:30 AM), I can barely stand due to the power of the drinks here.

I can only say one thing: Excellent, excellent, excellent (oops, why did I say it three times?).

Plus, I'm hungry. I heard from a friend that there's a 24-hour restaurant next to the hotel.

I might excuse myself from my friends to grab something to eat first.

For those interested in the next "Deep Dark Duck" Pool Party, try searching for information on the internet or call the A-One Hotel Pattaya.
