Today, Unseen in Hong Kong will take you to conquer a high peak on the Hong Kong side. This mountain is located on the west side of Victoria Peak, with a height of 494 meters above sea level. It's just like climbing a 50-story building.

When I went, I searched Google for the easiest way to get there. Google told me to take a bus to the foot of the mountain and then walk for another 29 minutes. Easy, right? But in reality, what Google told me was a long way around (the way to get to the top without going around is at the end).

As soon as we got off the bus, we started walking without any introduction. The initial section of the trail was paved and accessible by vehicles. The second section consisted of alternating steps and compacted dirt paths, leading to the LUK FU HAN viewpoint.

From this vantage point, we can see the summit of High West, indicating that we are nearing our destination. The scenic overlook features a pavilion and seating for休憩, but there are no vending machines or shops selling refreshments. Therefore, it is essential to bring your own water.

After a short break, it's time to continue walking. Follow the Hongkong Trail Section 1 for about 20 minutes until you reach a small park-like area where several paths intersect. Here, you'll find restrooms, benches, and a water fountain to refill your water bottles before continuing your ascent to the peak.

The treacherous trail, known as "High West Trail," continues upward. After a continuous climb of approximately 10 minutes, you will reach the summit. During the ascent, you will be rewarded with panoramic views of the Pok Fu Lam Reservoir.

The view from the top of High West offers a panoramic vista of Hong Kong Island, encompassing Central, Sheung Wan, and Sai Ying Pun. It also extends across the harbor to Kowloon and Lamma Island. On clear days, the Tsing Yi suspension bridge can be seen in the distance.

The sentence is already in English and does not require translation.

Unable to watch the sunset this time, as we had to rush down the mountain to escape the rain. The descent was a bit strenuous on the legs, to be honest, more than a bit—very tiring! Or maybe I'm just not fit enough. Haha!

Get ready for a breathtaking view and a refreshing breeze that surpasses even the strongest fan. The scenery is simply amazing, and I can't wait to take you on another unseen adventure. Stay tuned for our next escapade!
