I heard that there is a new shabu restaurant at Isetan, so I had to go and try it out.

History of the shop

The renowned Osaka restaurant Tajimaya has opened a branch in Sukhumvit 39 and now offers a buffet at Isetan. The buffet features four levels of meat, starting at 530 baht, based on the premium quality of the meat.

Meat lovers, rejoice! The meat served here is consistently high-quality. Briefly dip it in the boiling soup for 3 seconds, then enjoy it with a raw egg and hot rice. It's a truly satisfying experience.

The presence of chives reminds me of my favorite nabe hot pot. In addition, there is rice and curry to scoop and eat. For dessert, there is Häagen-Dazs ice cream.

Location: Isetan Department Store, 6th Floor

Let's continue.

The storefront is simple and located right next to the escalator going up, next to the famous Wako Fried Pork Rice restaurant.

It's located on the same floor as Kinokuniya.

Menu appearance

A variety of broths are available, including:

Clear soup with seaweed and fish

B Sukiyaki soup is made from Japanese-style sweet soy sauce.

Pork bone soup

D Miso soup

Thai Tom Yum Soup

An additional 20 baht per person will be charged if you wish to have two different broths in your hotpot.

90-minute buffet, children half price, and children under 90 cm free.

There are four types of great meat:

1 Premium Wagyu Beef 1880 B

2 Japanese Wagyu 1480 B

3 Top Australian Wagyu Tomahawk Steaks 780 B

4 Australian Wagyu Tomahawk 530 B

This time we tried ordering the cheapest set at 530 B.

The most notable advantage of this restaurant is the affordable price of the dishes. The marbling of the meat in every bowl is stunning, resembling high-quality cuts straight from the factory.

This is the belly part, which will have a little fat.

The pork has a good flavor and beautiful marbling on every piece.

The vegetable platter in the set menu is quite basic, but I appreciate the inclusion of Chinese chives.

The chili slices look spicy and delicious.

The buffet line also offered Japanese curry rice, but I didn't try it for fear of filling up my stomach.

The selection of beverages and desserts here is quite basic, but this is unlikely to be a major factor in your decision-making process.
